So I have a question that I have never seen answered on any site or at a con.

What happened to Jayne's facial hair? In Serenity he has his trademark 5 o'clock shadow and then in Train Job he is clean(er)-shaven. As the episodes go on, the facial hair is grown back. It just seems weird to me.

Anyone hear anything?

umm...i've always just figured it's jayne's perogative to have his facial hair how he wanted it. it's not a contiuity problem (altho adam baldwin does love to mess with that, see serenity CE commentary) the growth makes sense ep to ep, so no biggie.

It was probably filmed on different days, sometimes they come back to do something over, I have seen were an actor is even in different clothes, they leave it in because its to expensive to change ( I guess). Though I had not noticed what your saying, gonna go back and look:)

Don't take life so seriously it isn't permanent.
