Don't squat with your spurs on.

Firefly's been off for awhile now. What are your top,let's say 3 ways to get fight the withdrawl pains?

Well, for me, it's pretty easy to name the top three...

1. Writing fan fiction

2. Reading fan fiction

3. Marathoning the series as I show it to friends (and recruit new browncoats)

MANIACNUMBERONE

1. I come here every day.

2. I think of ways that Firefly can fit into my everyday life. Like Kayt, for example, she can quote Firefly up and down for like an hour non-stop. Things like that.

3. I play with all of my Firefly stuff and watch the ep's, usually pretending to be a different character each time.

1. I'm here daily
2. I wear a browncoat
3. I use appropriate firefly lingo
4. I use inappropriate firefly lingo
5. I have vids of all episodes
6. I play the whole series in the corner of my computer at work on Fridays
7. I read fanfic.
8. I recruit by showing episodes to friends every chance I get
That kinda sums it up. The main is my Firefly Friday, which this just so happens to be. Yipppie!!

That and I practice not reading directions

as I post 8 things.

i DO aim to misbehave

Although it may not look like it, I'm here ALL THE TIME. Reading the fan fic here feeds the beast pretty well.

I write (I re-write), and I draw. My goal is to get a different character posted on my page at MNartists.org every month until I run out of ideas - mine and everyone else's.

Mostly, though, I pop in one of my TRS80 DVDs, sit back and enjoy.

1. I come here everyday
2. I have a brown coat.
3. I read fanfics and try to respond to every one that I've read with a comment--good or bad.
4. My computer at work starts up with the few first notes of "The Ballad of Serenity" and ends with the closing fiddle measure.
5. I sometimes visit #firefly
6. I play Wing Commander, Panzer General, Allied General and Dune 2000 (not at the same time, of course), and pretend that it all takes place during the galactic Civil War.
7. I play "The Hero of Canton" over and over on the guitar, when I'm not playing Johnny Cash.
8. I listen to Johnny Cash and imagine how the song ties it to Firefly.

(1)I visit sites like this as often as possible.

(2)I wait patiently for Mondays (when it's on SPACE), even though I'm gaming and can't watch it until the group leaves. (Usually around 2 a.m.)

(3)I used to play in a Deadlands: Lost Colony game that was semi-based on the show.

Coming here to read the FanFic & latest news, reading the series in synopsis over at Television Without Pity (some good-naturedly scathing, but hella fun to read) and watching my taped episodes (zooming through the commercials). And by playing the Firefly theme on my computer when I'm feelin' low.

By the way, just curious...has anyone slipped and used Firefly phrases or words while speaking to non-fans?
I recently called something a piece of "fei-oo" (sp?)and used "shiney" for "cool" and found myself having to explain the terms.

I use it all so much, people don't even have to ask anymore, they just look at me and say, "Let me guess, it's a Firefly thing, right?"

The fun part is when I catch them using it.
