I know it's in the score written by Greg Edmonson, though I'm not sure if he wrote the words. It's on the soundtrack for Firefly, though.

But I can tell you that the background music during the original "Serenity" trailer - Episode 1 - where the (blanket-blank) "Docks" scene introduces Shepard Book to Kaylee... that was Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan from a delicious Realworld album called "Night Song"
