The Montgomery Area members of the Central Alabama Browncoats will be hosting a 'Versary Shindig, Saturday, September 30th, at Faulkner University. We will start with a screening of "Serenity" at 6:00 p.m., to be followed by a viewing of "Done The Impossible." Come in your favortie costume, Browncoat gear, whatever! And of course wherever there are Browncoats, there will be food, fun, and whatever happies I can come up with between now and then!

And because no Browncoat event would be complete without giving back to the community in some small way, we would like to ask that you bring a small canned good or non-perishable item to donate to the local AIDS Outreach foodbank for the "price" of admission.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'm not in Alabama, but I know a couple of Browncoats who live in Muscle Shoals, and not too long ago there were some others on here planning a shindig in Anniston. I doubt I could make it to yours, but I do visit 'Bama occasionally, since I have relatives in Birmingham, Anniston and the Huntsville area.

Wowzers! Browncoats... maybe? I tried going to the yahoo site, but it's not working. Please please please tell me you're still around!

I'm originally from B'ham, but I've been up in DC for many years where we had an absolutely great group of Browncoats. Now I'm in Auburn, and I'd love to find a new group of Browncoat-wearing, geese-juggling, shiny big damn heros to hang out with.

LostLenore, howdy! I do know there are several of us about, and there is even rumor of an organized group in B'ham...unfortunately I have not yet had the time to attend anything over there. The next closest group is Atlanta...and I have the same story there; not enough time to get over there. I am currently in Anniston, about 96 miles North of you. I know that is not quite close enough, but if you ever get some real withdrawals, maybe we could meet halfway for coffee and geese-juggling. :biggrin: I sometimes don't check all the threads the way I should, so my direct email is tristan71@cableone.net if you feel like getting in touch.
