Greetings, all! Update time!
BSCPantherFan and myself (Tristan) had discussed in the past getting together at a catfish restaurant called Top O The River in my town of Anniston, Alabama. We are thinking the 18th of August. This is an open invitation to any and all Browncoats that would like to join us. If you are interested, let one of us know, and we can give you directions. I'll be posting another thread as it gets closer!

Oh, and for those not interested in catfish, the restaurant does serve other things, catfish is just their specialty.
Also, depending on how things go, we may end up wandering about town (not much to do, but there are a few bars) after the restaurant closes...pool, drinks, and conversation to follow.

Coming from Montgomery wouldn't be 10 hours =p I do believe that the wifey's family would be a might disappointed in me for disappearing for a whole day to be with Browncoats...they still look at me funny for driving all the way to Orlanda to see Summer and Alan at the Comic Expo down there earlier this year =)

Aug 18th now, is it ? Dunno if I can make it to Anniston from ATL on a Fri afternoon( which is when I'd have to leave ) Any of y'all planing to make the trip to DragonCon? While I live near the down town area, I prob won't make the actual CON.....I know a certain University that's playin' football on that particular Saturday,

I'm new to the board and relatively new to the 'Verse (a Browncoat since, er, about June-time).

We're down in Fort Rucker.

I'm not sure about making it to this event (it's the first day that I'll be back in school - finally finishing off my BA), but I'll sure try.

Greetings, Proxieme, and welcome to the 'Verse!
Actually, this mini-event has been cancelled...my wife's birthday is the 15th, and we are going out of town that weekend. We do have plans for another one after DragonCon, so we will let everyone know.
As far as family-friendly (for future reference), our plans are to meet at a local restaurant, eat, and then go somewhere else...not sure where, as there is not a lot to do here.
