Below are the names of those behind zero hedge. Don't miss what I've highlighted in red below. This folks is why comrade troll SIG loves to quote zero hedge.

In addition, Lokey said he faced constant pressure to frame stories in-line with a particular world-view, which he described as “Russia=good. Obama=idiot. Bashar al-Assad=benevolent leader. John Kerry=dunce. Vladmir Putin=greatest leader in the history of statecraft.”

All of this matches SIG's playbook here and Putin's globally; exactly.

The men behind zero hedge

Colin Lokey, a 32-year-old former Seeking Alpha director

Daniel Ivandjiiski, a 37-year-old Bulgarian-born former hedge fund employee who was barred for insider trading in 2008

Tim Backshall, a 45-year-old credit derivatives strategist
Despite its populist tone, Lokey told Bloomberg he recently left Zero Hedge because he didn’t see eye-to-eye with the others when it came to editorial vision.

“Zero Hedge ceased to serve that public service years ago,” Lokey said. “They care what generates page views. Clicks. Money.”

Lokey claims Zero Hedge’s focus on traffic and revenue is hypocritical, but Ivandjiiski sees things differently.

Finally, Zero Hedge addressed the accusations of systematic bias in its content.

“We are certainly ok with being the object of other’s conspiracy theories, in this case completely false ones since we have never been in contact with anyone in Russia, or the US, or any government for that matter,” Zero Hedge says.

The site claims it has never accepted a dime of funding outside of advertising revenue and that Lokey was never pressured about how to frame his articles or editorialized.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/zero-hedge-unmasked-theres-more-1427301
65.html

According to the Bloomberg article, three men have been churning out all of the content at Zero Hedge, using the joint pseudonym “Tyler Durden” from the Brad Pitt film “Fight Club.” The 1999 cult film, according to Rolling Stone, is “about being young, male and powerless against the pacifying drug of consumerism. It’s about solitude, despair and bottled-up rage.” That ethos is frequently on display at Zero Hedge.

The three “Tyler Durdens” outed by Bloomberg reporters are Colin Lokey, who has now left Zero Hedge in a fit of pique and is responsible for handing over the internal chat sessions from Zero Hedge on traffic-building strategies and other matters. Bloomberg says “the other two men are Daniel Ivandjiiski, 37, the Bulgarian-born former analyst long reputed to be behind the site, and Tim Backshall, 45, a well-known credit derivatives strategist.”

The article notes that “Ivandjiiski has a multimillion-dollar mansion in Mahwah, N.J., and Backshall lives in a plush San Francisco suburb,” suggesting these are “not exactly reflections” of the anti-capitalism reflected in the moniker “Tyler Durden.”

How many sources do you want, THUGR? All you have to do is search, it's not a secret!
*****

So back to the original point:

The reporter didn't lie, he simply published what he was told by an anonymous US intelligence official. It's been done hundreds... thousands... of times by a lot of reporters!

The US intelligence official passed on what Zelenskiy told him. Now,maybe he knew better, and lied. Or maybe he didn't confirm the allegation with... What is that word again?? Oh, yes... EVIDENCE.

Kiev certainly knew better, since they track their air defense missiles. Zelenskiy lied, and continued to blame Russia, loooong after the truth was known. IMHO Kiev fired into Poland deliberately. But whether accidental or deliberate, Zelensky was willing to lie in order to get NATO and the USA involved to start WWIII.
Where Zelenskiy's lie fell apart was that Polish farmers took pictures of the missile and released them to the internet.

OPPS!

SO, how many times is it that you need to be lied to before you realize you're being lied to?

China Is Starting to Really Regret Its Friendship With Russia

“The biggest surprise for China was that Russia totally misjudged its own power. We thought that Russia would win a very fast war,” the Chinese expert explained ruefully, a few weeks after the invasion. It was not the official line, which was then in the phase of intense attempts to persuade global audiences that Beijing had no idea what was coming. But it was a better reflection of Chinese foreign policy thinking than either playing innocent or repeating ad nauseam that the invasion of Ukraine was the responsibility of the United States and NATO pushing a big power against the wall. One of the main reasons behind Beijing’s resistance to such entanglements in the past was not because partners and allies weren’t useful but because the countries in question risked dragging China down with their mistakes. The “Pakistan model,” which China had been touting, was conditioned by exactly this experience: Beijing didn’t want to get stuck defending every Pakistani intervention in Kashmir or inadvertently drawn into a conflict with India, so it confined itself to providing the capabilities its friend needed and then staying above the fray. Russia was not the first Chinese partner to believe it would win a very fast war and found itself in a hole, but China wasn’t usually pulled into it with them.

Turn over your life to we Russians and we will let you Ukrainians live rather than hit you with our missiles:

One justification for slavery in the Americas was that those who were enslaved had been captured in a “just” war and that slavery was therefore a “just” substitute for death. That rather than being killed on the battlefield, lives were turned over to their captors. Essentially, that the enslaved had been spared. This is a notion which is in Roman law historically and was prominent especially throughout the Spanish American context.

One of the things that happens in the middle of the 18th century is that this idea of slavery as a substitute for death or captivity grows to be regarded as ridiculous. It becomes treated as a fiction — and a convenient fiction at that. That’s a big piece of the change.

Captured documents reveal Russia's plan to annex Ukraine in ten days and kill its leaders

Russia planned to seize Ukraine within ten days and kill its leaders, according to new documents apparently signed off by Vladimir Putin.

The leaked plans, revealed by the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (Rusi), show that Russia aimed to have annexed the country by August.

Russia intended to capture Ukraine’s airfields, water supplies, central bank and parliament as Ukrainian officials either fled or were captured “as a result of the speed of the invasion".

The Kremlin created a "kill list" of Ukrainians that should be killed or suppressed.

According to Rusi, the plan was known to few in Russia's military and unit commanders did not receive orders to invade until hours before.

Russian Commander 'Executed' Following Mass Desertions of His Unit: Report

A Russian commander has reportedly died after members of his unit deserted from the front line en masse.

Russian independent news outlet The Insider reported the death of Viktor Sevalnev, a 43-year-old ex-convict who was recruited by the Wagner group, a mercenary outfit, for Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine.

The outlet cited information it obtained from Vladimir Osechkin, a Russian human rights activist who runs the anti-corruption website Gulagu.net.

Sevalnev headed the 7th motorized rifle company of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) in eastern Ukraine, and had been hospitalized after sustaining injuries in battle.

The Insider said a recorded conversation between Sevalnev and his wife in November revealed that he had been threatened with execution because soldiers in his unit had deserted.

"Don't send people here...they want to kill everyone," he said in a phone call with his wife Lilia, according to the report.

"Today it's me, tomorrow another, that's all. We're just murder material [to them]. The Ministry of Defense executes people. They know that we're [dead men] and they don't give a damn," he also reportedly said.

According to the news outlet, in November, Sevalnev's unit sustained heavy losses, some soldiers were killed and the rest deserted.

His wife said she was told on December 1 that Sevalnev had died in the Donbas region on November 25 from shrapnel wounds and a powerful blow to the head.

Beginning Of The End Of Putin? Opposition Leader Says 'He Is Falling Apart And He Is Clearly Aware Of It'

As the Ukraine war rages on for over 10 months now, Russian citizens are reportedly becoming increasingly disgruntled with President Vladimir Putin’s continued military operations against their smaller neighbor.

What Happened: For the first time, Russians feel they can no longer trust Putin, given the unpalatable combination of economic sanctions, siphoning off of funds for war and compulsory military drafting, the Daily Beast said in a report.

The Kremlin’s attempt to present Putin as a “strong and decisive” leader is falling flat, the report said. The president's annual press conference has reportedly been canceled for the first time in years.

The publication also noted a growing desire by Russians for a return to stability. Vera Aleksandrovna, a St. Petersburg lawyer, told the Daily Beast, “Russia, just like any other nation, wants to live a stable life without feeling ashamed of our Moscow leadership. Before the war Putin guaranteed us a stable life, but now he tells us that life in Russia will be good only in 10 years.”

Former World chess champion, Garry Kasparov, seems to see the endgame for the president of Russia. "Putin is absolute evil, he has gone insane after 22 years in power; but in his bones he must understand that he cannot go on ruling Russia, when the war ends and dozens of thousands of angry soldiers return home with arms, feeling robbed," he reportedly said.

Tatiana Stanovaya: The Schism in Russia's Elite Is Only Growing as Defeats Pile Up in Ukraine

There was already talk of a possible split within the Russian elite two months ago, after Russia’s hurried retreat from Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. Since then, Russian troops have also been forced to withdraw from the key city of Kherson, and the predicted schism is taking shape. Members of the elite are dividing into relative realists who are calling for a tactical pause in the fighting in order to rethink Russia’s goals, and those who advocate remorseless escalation at any price.

This has been obvious since he invaded Ukraine and it started going south. The only uncertainty is how. Gun shot, poison or perhaps he will fall out of a window.

I'm hoping he falls out of a window. How about you comrade signym. How do you want him to die?

Put that in the predictions thread, Jaynez.

These new laws, rules and regulations even 1 year ago seemed unthinkable and atrocious. Now they are becoming widely accepted reality fast. Welcome to Russia 2023.

Second is not well.

These are your "friends" Ted.

And for the record, Second has never once come to your defense, nor will he ever.

He gives even less a shit about you than he does about me. He's so obsessed with my life that I think he's secretly in love with me.

Bottom line is, the Russians’ expansionism is what started all this. It happened in Georgia then Ukraine. Then, because Putin was left unchecked, he tried to outright conquer Ukraine. Putin and comrade Signym will say it was NATOs expansionism that started this. What I would say to that is, NATO only goes where it is invited. Big difference, big difference. And why is NATO invited, because of the threat Russia poses to it neighbors.

This ain't rocket science folks.

What will Putin do next?

If you were Putin, what would you do? Predicting your adversary’s future moves requires putting yourself in his shoes. As Russia’s misadventure in Ukraine nears its first grim anniversary, we should ask ourselves how Putin sees the world, indeed – how we would see the world and what policy we would pursue if faced with a range of unpalatable options.

Option one. He could declare the war lost and withdraw. If I were Putin, I would not choose this option. Why? There is grave danger in admitting defeat. Russia was built on the myth of infallibility. While the hope of victory stays alive, the people will follow the Tsar. But no sooner will he back down then they will turn away from him because the Kremlin is no place for losers.

If I were Putin I’d tell myself that I am still popular. They thought they’d topple me – they don’t know our people. The Russians are afraid of uncertainty more than they are afraid of tyranny. They would readily embrace terror if I only wanted them to. You think Navalny has it bad? I’ve kept him alive, I would say, just because I can. He is allowed to share stories of his misery with the world: that’s how I show my power.

No, they won’t pour into the streets to demand my head, not unless I show weakness. That’s why I cannot back down. That’s why I annexed Kherson and Zaporizhzhia – to show them that I am all in.

I cannot accept defeat because Russia’s influence in its near abroad would collapse. My so-called allies in Central Asia and the Caucasus (who have proven so unreliable – I’ll yet pay them back for their disloyalty) are eagerly awaiting Russia’s demise. I cannot allow them such satisfaction. By contrast, I must show them that the costs of resistance are high, so they learn to respect me.

. . . Option three. Fight until we have a de facto partition of Ukraine. Time will tell how far west the line will run. At the very least, we must recapture the territories that I have already annexed. Then I can say I have accomplished my goals and proclaim victory. Do I have any incentive not to? Will the West relent on sanctions if I moderate my goals in Ukraine? They won’t. They only understand force, and only my decisive victory on the battlefield will impress them. Until then, they will jeer and cheer on the Ukrainians. Why, I would do exactly the same if I were in their shoes.

Surely the war is not lost – I would tell himself – not yet. True, we haven’t done as well we hoped but nor have we exhausted our potential. The population is docile. My partial mobilisation plugged the holes in our defence with hardly a stir among the public. I could easily mobilise ten times more. I just don’t have anything to equip them with. In time, I will. Yes, we are running low on ammunition, but we can build it up over time, while drawing on supplies from Iran and North Korea.

They tried to cripple us with sanctions, but they couldn’t. The situation is not great, I know, but I have an excellent economic team. The numbers show only a minor decline this year and economic stabilisation a year from now. Unlike Ukraine which has been devastated.

Russia is a nuclear power, and so I can’t lose. Would Hitler have used all the means at his disposal if he could avert Germany’s defeat? Yes, he would. That’s my premise, too. I will push forward, until I have no options left. With God’s help, I will win, but if don’t, I am not averse to dying in glory. We all must die someday. Why not today? Why not in the service of the Great Russian Idea? That is what they don’t understand. They think I will flinch when faced with the choice: defeat (and my humiliation, and even ouster) or the end of civilisation. Had the end of civilisation ever looked more attractive?

But civilisation does not have to end – not at all. There is a long way to go from irradiated Ukraine to a global nuclear cataclysm. They – the Americans – will have to make the choice to escalate. Will they? I doubt it. They know that I know that in the big scheme of things, Ukraine is a side show. For them, that is. Not for me. For me it’s a matter of life and death. For now, I will keep the nuclear card in reserve. Some say it’s just an empty threat. Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. Let’s find out when it comes to it.

What would that even accomplish for you, dude?

Do you think that America and NATO are going to be able to install a puss-bag puppet like Zelensky in his place if he were to die of health issues?

No fuckin' chance. Not in Russia.

For all you know the new guy comes in and stomps Ukraine from the face of the earth the day he takes charge.

Be careful what you wish for.

Secret Russian Mission to Shield Putin From ‘Dwarf’ Insults Exposed

Abbas Gallyamov, a former speechwriter for Putin, told iStories the ultimate goal of the monitoring effort is clearly to “squash unrest,” adding, “If you are hated by your own people, then at some point the security forces will simply get rid of you, you will be unnecessary to them.”

In a report detailing their efforts to thwart the “destabilization of Russian society,” the censors included a few gems found online, including “Putin 100% has dementia! The old man has lost his mind!” and “Will a sane Russian support a president with mental illnesses?”

Staffers at the federal agency are reportedly required to seek out “negative, discrediting” information about the Russian president using some of the most famous slurs against him as search terms, including “Putin’s a thief,” “Putler,”’ “bald dwarf,” and a reference to Putin as Zaches, a freakish little boy from an 1819 German fairy tale.

I don't think that's just because of Putin. Thousands in Russian army kill, loot, ruin. Millions of Russians remain quiet.
