Now it's "big wiki" whooo .

I think I understand. He can't work together with anyone else on the planet due to all his brain malfunctions, so any people that CAN work together MUST be conspiring against him

The whole world is out to get HIM. Narcissist playbook, again.

https://refusefascism.org/

Yup.

Trumpism is collective narcissism.

Collective narcissism (or group narcissism) extends the concept of individual narcissism onto the social level of self. It is a tendency to exaggerate the positive image and importance of a group the individual belongs to, be it defined by, religion, social class, race, political stance, language group, nationalism, employment status, education level or cultural values– i.e. the ingroup.[1][2] While the classic definition of narcissism focuses on the individual, collective narcissism asserts that one can have a similar excessively high opinion of a group, and that a group can function as a narcissistic entity.[1] Collective narcissism is related to ethnocentrism. However, ethnocentrism primarily focuses on self-centeredness at an ethnic or cultural level, while collective narcissism is extended to any type of ingroup, beyond just cultures and ethnicities.[1][3] While ethnocentrism is an assertion of the ingroup's supremacy, collective narcissism is a self-defensive tendency to invest unfulfilled self-entitlement into a belief about ingroup's uniqueness and greatness. Thus, the ingroup is expected to become a vehicle of actualisation of frustrated self-entitlement.[2] When applied to a national group, collective narcissism is similar to nationalism: a desire for national supremacy.[4] Positive overlap between ingroup satisfaction and collective narcissism suppresses collective narcissistic intergroup hostility.[2]

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Way back when I said that all police should have body cams AND dash cams, and that they should be on at all times, whether or not they were 'interacting' with the public.

But I have to say ... imagine yourself at your workplace (fast food?). There is a camera on you * at all times * except when going to the bathroom (which is forbidden by law). It tracks whether or not you're cleaning the counter or stocking French fries or instead hanging in the back doing nothing but resting to take an unofficial break. Can you attest every single second of every single workday is spent following every single dictat of your bosses? And that even your most minor lapses won't be held against you using camera evidence?

I doubt it.

You'd be surprised how many people are being recorded the entire time they're at work.

There were over 200 cameras in the building at my old job. Except for the bathrooms, there was coverage of every square foot of that place from every angle.

It would actually surprise me very much if in 2020 fast food employees don't have cameras on them at all times already.

I don't agree with any of that. Just saying that's how it is for the minimum wage crews these days.

https://www.alternet.org/2020/09/mass-delusion-why-trumps-followers-be

People with lower cognitive abilities find it difficult to follow directions about when to wear a mask and when it is appropriate and safe not to do so. Moreover, when the rules about wearing a mask are inconsistent, it becomes even more difficult for people with lower cognitive abilities to wear masks consistently and correctly.

Researchers have also found that people who exhibit the “dark triad” of behavior and personality traits (Machiavellianism, narcissism and psychopathy) are also more likely not to wear masks as compared to others.

Among men, a refusal to wear a mask is connected to a sense of fragile and embattled masculinity, in which masks are viewed as being “weak” and “feminine” and “not cool.” For such men who lack confidence in their sense of self and overall identity, not wearing a mask is a selfish act which they view as strength and perhaps as evidence that they are “alpha males” who can win a primitive test of “survival of the fittest.”

In Scientific American, Emily Willingham suggests that masks are also viewed as a “condom of the face” by men who are afflicted with “toxic masculinity”:

So, they go maskless. In doing so, they expect that their masculine ideology group will accept them, respect them and not reject them.

The irony is that these men think they’re manifesting the ideal of the rugged, individualistic American, when their refusal really traces in part to a fear of what other people will think about them. Drunk on a toxic brew of self-interest and that masculine ideology, they mistake their refusal to protect themselves and others as a mark of character when instead, it’s a mark on their characters.

Moving from the general to the specific, what is known about the relationship between wearing a mask during the coronavirus pandemic and a person’s political values and beliefs?

Unsurprisingly, political partisanship and support for Donald Trump and the Republican Party is highly correlated with refusal to wear a mask and opposition to other public health initiatives which are intended to stop the pandemic.

Such thinking and behavior also reflect the fact that Trump supporters, Republicans, and other conservatives exist in a media echo chamber which has assured them that the pandemic is a “hoax” or “fake news” crafted by liberals and intended to hurt the Trump administration. As has been repeatedly shown by media scholars and other researchers, the right-wing echo chamber is a system ruled by epistemic closure in which incorrect information, outright lies and conspiracy theories dominate. As is often cited, viewers of Fox News actually know less about empirical reality and the world as it relates to current events than people who watch no news programs at all.
---

Trumptardism is caused by low cognitive ability coupled with delusional narcissism.

I'm entirely of the belief now that this is a variation of the sunk cost fallacy. They're in deep. To pull out now would be to admit they've been wrong, and that's a social "cost" they're unwilling to bear. The research that will be generated in sociology and psychology papers about mass delusion and conversion to autocracy if we make it through this will be fascinating.

There are several things REAVERBOT, TWITCHY, AND SECONDRATE should never post about, and they are low cognitive ability, delusions, narcissism, and racism/sexism/fascism*.

Their biggest delusion is that they aren't themselves delusional, narcissistic, easily brainwashed, and racist/sexist/fascist*

*Their definition of fascism.

FASCISM

Quote:

... For one thing, the definition of fascism commonly attributed to Mussolini is “the merging of the state and corporate power,” not “the corporation,” as McKay presents it. Second, it’s not clear that Mussolini — or even his ghostwriter, the philosopher Giovanni Gentile — ever actually gave this precise definition of fascism.

... Corporatism (“corporativismo” in Italian) was one of the cornerstone principles in Mussolini’s fascism, and had to do with the way society and the economy would be organized, with state power at the head of a system of guilds or corporations (“corporazione”) representing each major industry.

In his Dictionary of Political Thought, Roger Scruton describes corporatism in this way:

The economy was divided into associations (called ‘syndicates’) of workers, employers and the professions; only one syndicate was allowed in each branch of industry, and all officials were either fascist politicians or else loyal to the fascist cause. According to law the syndicates were autonomous, but in fact they were run by the state. The ‘corporations’ united the syndicates in a given industry, but made no pretence at autonomy from the state.

Corporations were over-represented in Mussolini's Italy.

Quote:

What constitutes a definition of fascism and fascist governments has been a complicated and highly disputed subject concerning the exact nature of fascism and its core tenets debated amongst historians, political scientists, and other scholars since Benito Mussolini first used the term in 1915.

A significant number of scholars agree that a "fascist regime" is foremost an authoritarian form of government, although not all authoritarian regimes are fascist. Authoritarianism is thus a defining characteristic, but most scholars will say that more distinguishing traits are needed to make an authoritarian regime fascist.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

Similarly, fascism as an ideology is also hard to define. Originally, it referred to a totalitarian political movement linked with corporatism which existed in Italy from 1922 to 1943 under the leadership of Benito Mussolini. Many scholars use the word "fascism" without capitalization in a more general sense, to refer to an ideology (or group of ideologies) which was influential in many countries at many different times. For this purpose, they have sought to identify what Roger Griffin calls a "fascist minimum"—that is, the minimum conditions that a certain political movement must meet in order to be considered "fascist".[3]
