There's no doubt that Brazil is experiencing another severe outbreak of COVID-19. And it's not an artifact of biased m$m reporting because it's been reported across an entire spectrum of news systems.

What's not been reported is that the countries of eastern Europe and the Balkans are worse, or nearly as bad, on a per capita basis of weekly average news deaths.

To give an idea of the relative scale of new deaths, here are the global top 10:
Hungary 2.49
Bosnia and Herzegovina 2.32
North Macedonia 2.21
Brazil 1.43
Uruguay 1.36
Slovakia 1.46
Bulgaria 0.957
Moldova 0.708
Czechia 0.692
Poland 0.628

With the exception of Uruguay, all the other south and central American countries I looked at were far below Brazil.
