Go to minute 13 and/or minute 28 to hear about The Soul Publishing and hear reporter describe who TheSoul Publishing is.

It doesn't mater what your politics are or who you support, the details of the scam - and it is, a massive one - are worth understanding, "Artificial Amplification."

"Rachel details massive social media operation with pro-Russian message.

Mr. Banana cartoon by Russia shows the Russian cyberattack on America continues.
The cartoon includes Joseph Stalin reference. The propaganda is produced by Russian company TheSoul Publishing.

Rachel references an article by Lawfare, which is a U.S. blog dedicated to national security issues, published by the Lawfare Institute in cooperation with the Brookings Institution. It has received attention for articles on Donald Trump's presidency.

The article, entitled, The Biggest Social Media Operation You’ve Never Heard of Is Run Out of Cyprus by Russians.

Quotes from the article:

“… in November 2019, TheSoul Publishing had the third most views of any media and entertainment creator on YouTube and Facebook, behind only the Walt Disney Company and WarnerMedia.”

“It is run by Russian nationals and based in and managed from Cyprus. It funds itself with ad revenues from YouTube and Google worth tens of millions of dollars.”

“And in 2018, it purchased a small suite of Facebook Ads targeting U.S. citizens on political issues—and it made those purchases in Rubles.”

Collusion? Conspiracy? No, worse.

I would have thought that by now Rachel Madcow would be thoroughly discredited. She spent years pushing a "Russian collusion" narrative that even St Mueller couldn't warrant. Why does anyone even listen to her anymore?

All of Robert Mueller’s indictments and plea deals in the Russia investigation

1) George Papadopoulos, former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, was arrested in July 2017 and pleaded guilty in October 2017 to making false statements to the FBI. He got a 14-day sentence.

2) Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chair, was indicted on a total of 25 different counts by Mueller’s team, related mainly to his past work for Ukrainian politicians and his finances. He had two trials scheduled, and the first ended in a conviction on eight counts of financial crimes. To avert the second trial, Manafort struck a plea deal with Mueller in September 2018 (though Mueller’s team said in November that he breached that agreement by lying to them). He was sentenced to a combined seven and a half years in prison.

3) Rick Gates, a former Trump campaign aide and Manafort’s longtime junior business partner, was indicted on similar charges to Manafort. But in February 2018 he agreed to a plea deal with Mueller’s team, pleading guilty to just one false statements charge and one conspiracy charge. He was sentenced to 45 days in prison and 3 years of probation.

4) Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty in December 2017 to making false statements to the FBI.

5-20) 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies were indicted on conspiracy charges, with some also being accused of identity theft. The charges related to a Russian propaganda effort designed to interfere with the 2016 campaign. The companies involved are the Internet Research Agency, often described as a “Russian troll farm,” and two other companies that helped finance it. The Russian nationals indicted include 12 of the agency’s employees and its alleged financier, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

21) Richard Pinedo: This California man pleaded guilty to an identity theft charge in connection with the Russian indictments, and has agreed to cooperate with Mueller. He was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 6 months of home detention in October 2018.

22) Alex van der Zwaan: This London lawyer pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Rick Gates and another unnamed person based in Ukraine. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and has completed his sentence.

23) Konstantin Kilimnik: This longtime business associate of Manafort and Gates, who’s currently based in Russia, was charged alongside Manafort with attempting to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses in Manafort’s pending case last year.
24-35) 12 Russian GRU officers: These officers of Russia’s military intelligence service were charged with crimes related to the hacking and leaking of leading Democrats’ emails in 2016.

36) Michael Cohen: In August 2018, Trump’s former lawyer pleaded guilty to 8 counts — tax and bank charges, related to his finances and taxi business, and campaign finance violations — related to hush money payments to women who alleged affairs with Donald Trump, as part of a separate investigation in New York (that Mueller had handed off). But in November, he made a plea deal with Mueller too, for lying to Congress about efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.

37) Roger Stone: In January 2019, Mueller indicted longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone on 7 counts. He accused Stone of lying to the House Intelligence Committee about his efforts to get in touch with WikiLeaks during the campaign, and tampering with a witness who could have debunked his story. He was convicted on all counts after a November 2019 trial.

Finally, there is one other person Mueller initially investigated, but handed over to others in the Justice Department to charge: Sam Patten. This Republican operative and lobbyist pleaded guilty to not registering as a foreign agent with his work for Ukrainian political bigwigs, and agreed to cooperate with the government.

THUGR, you're overlooking one important fact: None of them are for collusion (or any other similar term that you care to use).

Jeez. What a dupe.

Here's a thought: Instead of hunting for hidden pro-Russian messages, how about just going to https://www.RT.com ? Yanno, just get it from the horse's mouth instead of being all paranoid.

I never heard of them either. I think Madcow is just hyperventilating again and spewing more bullshit. Yanno, I check out CNN and NPR and MSNBC a few times a week, but I'm not going to pay any attention to someone who's been demonstrably wrong (and quite possibly lying) every time she opens her mouth.

I see THUGR has resorted to spamming the board with same two cartoons, over and over.

THUGR, hon, there are STILL no intercepted communication between Trump and Russia. No collusion. Crazy as it seems, Trump (as imperfect as he is) is probably representing America's interests better than any President of the past 50 years, and you're on the wrong side of this if you truly love America.

You guys are experts at flaunting your ignorance publicly.

"Rachel Maddow is host of the Emmy Award winning show RMS, as well as author of the NYTimes #1 BestSeller Drift. Maddow rec'd a bach degree from Stanford University and earned a doctorate in political science from Oxford University. Blowout is her second book...

And what have you done with your life, Kookie? SigHole? I won't even ask Jack. lol She's everything you might want to be and nothing that you are.

I just checked out her second book - it's quite good, with her usual talent for connecting dots and people and motivations, and finding the the bigger story that MSM often misses. How's your second book coming, SNIGGY?

The book's opening tribute is touching, might even make some of you blush:

"To the bots and trolls, all of you, with love"

Maddow Meltdown: In Defense To OAN Lawsuit, Host Argues Her Words Are Not Facts

Back in September, we reported that TV network OAN had filed a lawsuit against Rachel Maddow for the time the host said that OAN “really, literally is paid Russian propaganda.”

Now, Maddow finds herself having to come up with a defense for her statement in court. And she has also apparently hired Lionel Hutz as her legal adviser.

According to Culttture ( https://culttture.com/2019/rachel-maddow-argument-against-oan-lawsuit-
is-her-words-should-not-be-believed
/ Rachel Maddow’s Argument Against OAN Lawsuit: Don’t Believe Her Words Are Fact), her lawyers argued in a recent motion that "…the liberal host was clearly offering up her ‘own unique expression’ of her views to capture what she saw as the ‘ridiculous’ nature of the undisputed facts. Her comment, therefore, is a quintessential statement ‘of rhetorical hyperbole, incapable of being proved true or false."

Oh, it's capable of being proved false, alright. Maddow had previously claimed, on air, about one of OAN's reporters:
Quote:

In this case, the most obsequiously pro-Trump right wing news outlet in America is really literally is paid Russian propaganda,” and added, “Their on-air politics reporter (Kristian Rouz) is paid by the Russian government to produce propaganda for that government.
The testimony of UC Santa Barbara linguistics professor Stefan Thomas Gries, however, stands at odds with Maddow's defense. Gries said: “It is very unlikely that an average or reasonable/ordinary viewer would consider the sentence in question to be a statement of opinion. Gries continued: “I am the second most widely-cited cognitive linguist and sixth most widely-cited living corpus linguist. The field of cognitive linguistics draws from both linguistics and psychology and studies how language interacts with cognition.”
Quote:

I tracked down these Gries quotes to the scribd record of proceedings, and added this section from that reference-1kiki:
An analysis of Maddow’s statement by Stefan Th. Gries, Ph.D.—a linguistics professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara—further demonstrates that Maddow’s statement was not opinion. Professor Gries conducted a thorough analysis of Maddow’s segment, identifying and analyzing linguistic markers (including words, tone, and cadence) used by Maddow. His report is attached to his concurrently filed declaration. Professor Gries concludes that an average viewer likely would not
have understood Maddow’s statement to be opinion. This is confirmed by the fact that, despite knowing how to do so, Maddow did not use any typical opinion-markers when she stated that OAN “really literally is paid Russian propaganda.

Moreover, Maddow’s statement implied other false, undisclosed facts. Defendants’ argument that Maddow disclosed all the facts—i.e., The Daily Beast article—underlying her defamatory statement is incorrect. Maddow did not merely tell her millions of viewers that, as reported by The Daily Beast, a single OAN employee also wrote articles on global finance for Sputnik News. Instead, Maddow went well beyond that, intentionally leading her viewers to believe (falsely) that there was far more to the story—that there was a real and significant connection between the news reported on OAN and the Russian government. This implication was false and per se harmful to OAN. https://www.scribd.com/document/438562850/PLAINTIFF-HERRING-NETWORKS-I
NC-S-OPPOSITION-TO-DEFENDANTS-SPECIAL-MOTION-TO-STRIKE

OAN had filed the defamation suit in federal court in San Diego, according to AP https://apnews.com/9f1a138ee41e4460815a558eb04bb7f4 . OAN is a small, family owned conservative network that is based in San Diego and has received favorable Tweets from the President. It is seen as a competitor to Fox News.

OAN's lawsuit claims that Maddow's comments were retaliation after OAN President Charles Herring accused Comcast of censorship. The suit said that Comcast refuses to carry its channel because “counters the liberal politics of Comcast’s own news channel, MSNBC.”

It was about a week after Herring e-mailed a Comcast executive when Maddow opened her show by referring to a Daily Beast report that claimed an OAN employee also worked for Sputnik News, which has ties to the Russian government.

Maddow said: “In this case, the most obsequiously pro-Trump right-wing news outlet in America really literally is paid Russian propaganda. Their on-air U.S. politics reporter is paid by the Russian government to produce propaganda for that government.”

Except Maddow, likely still upset from spending 3 years trying to promulgate a Russian hoax that didn't exist, didn't quite get her facts straight. Big surprise.
