Hey Rue (comrade Kiki). First, yea America. Sorry you don’t practice this level of law in Russia. Hey, maybe someday. Here we celebrate the rule of law despite the protests of trolls. Here, unlike Russia, wrong doings that are uncovered are dealt with. Here, if enough evidence isn't uncovered to prove guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt, then that too is recognized. This happens regardless of our personal opinions. Again, yea America.

Robert Mueller’s mandate was very narrow. What if anything did Russia do during the campaign. Then, because of their behaviors, Trump and others working within his campaign with deep Russian ties, forced Mueller’s mandate to be expanded. He indicted 34 to 37 individuals. Six, seven whatever from within Trumps campaign. Also Indicted were thirteen Russians, three Russian companies. The level of detail Mueller presented in these indictments was astounding. All guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt.

That was the standard he used to determine if he could prove a Trump Russia conspiracy. He could not. However, we as a nation saw colluding for ourselves in Trumps behavior, plus Congress isn’t so restricted. The American people’s opinions are not so restricted either. Collusion will still be decided at the polls. It’s not a done deal.

Mueller stated in his report that he could not discount Trump obstructed justice. Further, if Mueller decided not to indict because of the Justice Department’s policy not to indict a sitting president, but felt Trump did commit obstruction, that is how he would proceed. His stating he could not discount obstruction puts the decision squarely in the hands of Congress. Mueller knows this. Barr showed poor judgement to say the least, deciding no obstruction occurred after only after a few hours reading Mueller’s report, when Mueller wouldn’t do it after investigating it for two years.

And thanks comrade Kiki. Thanks for re-posting some of my posts. After rereading them I was pleased to see that I showed such good judgement from beginning to current. It must be terrible for you seeing America shine while Russia fails so miserably.

Tick tock comrade

If you’re President Trump, what’s your best strategy for dealing with the Mueller report?

1) Insist loudly that the report completely exonerates you and you’re totally in favor of releasing the whole thing.

2) Do not, however, actually order the report released.

3) Instead, leave it up to the attorney general, who will stall for weeks or months. Let him take the heat for playing bad cop.

4) Hope that by the time the report is finally released, Russiamania will be played out and it won’t get much play.

And guess what? So far, this is exactly what’s happening:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Monday blocked a measure aimed at prodding the Justice Department to release Robert Mueller’s report.

The government spent $234 billion more than it brought in through tax receipts last month, much more than the deficit levels hit during the global financial crisis.
President Mike Pence would not be irresponsible like Trump nor as helpful to the rich.

I won't vote for Trump, but I hope Donald J Trump gives himself and me many more tax cuts.

The $232 Billion Deficit for February 2012 may have been slightly smaller numerically, but it was of far greater impact, with the Debt being about half of today's level.

Agreed, when a prosecutor says “the investigation did not establish” an offense, that is not to say the crime wasn’t committed or that there was not evidence supporting it. It means that there was not sufficient proof of conspiracy or coordination to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

It was only last week Trump was bitching about John McCain's war record, inflating himself. Mr. Trump did not go to the Vietnam war. He has a consistent record about all wars, being for them, but if America loses he says he was always against.

On Sunday, Barr delivered to Congress a four-page letter characterizing Mueller’s report but leaving much to the imagination. Mueller went to church across the street from the White House and said nothing. Based on Barr’s letter, Trump and his team gleefully claimed, without any apparent fear of response from Mueller, “total and complete exoneration,” even though Mueller’s report, according to Barr’s own terse summary, explicitly said that the finding “does not exonerate” Trump.

It didn’t have to go down like this. Instead of remaining silent and secretive for almost two years, Mueller and his prosecutorial team could have acted more like the Justice Department itself does in ordinary times, holding press conferences and briefing reporters on background, explaining their decisions to indict and not indict and helping us all understand what was going on in this tense, intense investigation that goes to the very heart of how we govern ourselves and protect our electoral system. Mueller could have, and should have, stood before reporters and the American people to announce and explain his conclusions so we could all consider and debate their validity.

Prior investigations of presidents, by independent counsels Lawrence Walsh and Kenneth Starr, for example, who were criticized for their many public statements and voluminous public reports, may have caused Mueller to take his silent man approach, but he went too far. We needed to hear from him. We needed him to tell us what we could expect and fear, what was true and what was imagined as things unfolded in real time. As the Supreme Court said many years ago, “People in an open society do not demand infallibility from their institutions, but it is difficult for them to accept what they are prohibited from observing.”

It is not too late. We need to see the full Mueller report as soon as possible and hear from Mueller himself as to what led him to his conclusions and why he reached them.

For fat motherfucking Trump? Either that or speed up the justice system by a factor of 10. Trump will never come to justice because justice is ridiculously slow and Trump will die from obesity in less than two decade. If the system could come to a decision in two years, it would be great. That deadline has come & gone. Four years? Ain't happening. The case below got started in 2000, and it is nowhere near done although the Supreme Court did decide this week, only requiring 5 months to arrive at an 8 to 1 decision, to throw it back to the lower courts:

This case required 9 years for the Supreme Court to decide a letter was mailed to the wrong address. Their advice to the plaintiff was to please restart your lawsuit and mail your notification to the correct address:
http://cdn.cnn.com/cnn/2019/images/03/26/16-1094_3d94.pdf

We understand respondents’ exasperation and recognize that enforcing compliance with §1608(a)(3) may seem like an empty formality in this particular case, which involves highly publicized litigation of which the Government of Sudan may have been aware prior to entry of default judgment. But there are circumstances in which the rule of law demands adherence to strict requirements even when the equities of a particular case may seem to point in the opposite direction.

We therefore reverse the judgment of the Court of Appeals and remand the case for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.

It is so ordered.

The explanation is here:
www.cnn.com/2019/03/26/politics/supreme-court-sudan-uss-cole/index.htm
l

The challengers served a summons against Sudan by mailing papers to the Minister of Foreign Affairs via the embassy located in Washington, DC. After Sudan failed to respond within 60 days specified by law, the court entered default against Sudan for just over $314 million. Finally, in 2014, Sudan appealed, with its US-based attorney saying that the summons couldn't be served to the embassy and had to be sent "by any form of mail requiring a signed " receipt "addressed to the head of the ministry of foreign affairs."

But I'll just choose to quote this for posterity.

Hey T. It's not as if Second hasn't said this on quite a few occasions before, and in a much more violent and graphic explanation of what he would do and how he would do it, given his status in life.

I don't recall anyone being upset when Trump called a drone strike during an evening meal to impress Xi Jinping. Trump killed 9 civilians. Perhaps it was only entertainment and no reason to call into question fathead Trump's judgement. The confirmation that Trump killed the wrong people came only later, well after Trump and Xi forgot all the details, other than how much fun the chubby pair had overeating and laughing.
www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-trump-idUSKBN1792W4

According to Syrian state news SANA, nine civilians were killed in the attack, including four children. SANA also stated that five of the civilians were killed in the village of Shayrat, outside the base, while another four were killed in the village of Al-Hamrat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Shayrat_missile_strike

This is why Presidents have a Secret Service: so that they can make frequent and fatally bad decisions and still live to make many more half-ass decisions and publish their ghostwritten memoirs, never worrying that any of their blunders will kill them. That wasn't the way it once was for Presidents. They took risks when they took the job. How many Presidents have been shot? Either nine or eleven, depending. Four presidents — Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and Kennedy — died. Five — Monroe, Jackson, Hayes, Teddy Roosevelt, and Reagan — survived. Two — Washington and Grant — were not significantly injured as a result of being shot.

As you might have guessed, I don't like the concept of an irresponsible White House run by a moron, where the consequence is never larger than losing an election four years later. The mass of voters can only remember accurately what happened for a day, so they don't really pass judgement on Presidents. Sadly, Presidential elections are more like an opinion poll asking what your favorite TV show is. And God is not standing at the President's shoulder, reminding him to make responsible decisions or else there will be an immediate penalty like a player would get from a referee. There is nothing stopping a President who has no conscience. And definitely not a bullet.

Don't try that shit. Blaming drone strikes or wars or coups on one President or ideological side is something we do when comparing what big pieces of evil shit all of them are... cause they all have done it or are currently doing it.

Look, 6ix, you fucking moron, most of those deaths of civilians can be blamed on irresponsible military officers, not the President. But Trump has actually given orders that can only end in murdering civilians. Then he covers it up.

Getting back to the Mueller Investigation, Trump said he was "exonerated". Barr said very clearly Trump was "not exonerated". Trump has been corrected, but he keeps going back to saying not exonerated. Trump has no conscience about lying about this or civilian deaths or anything.

... stay crunchy...

Not yet substantiated, but...

"Graham says Barr told him it would likely take “weeks not months” to get a version of the Mueller report viewable by the public. Said they will pass through the WH to see if they want to make redactions under executive privilege."

So if true, sterilize it completely and then release. Why am I not surprised?

Congress needs to bypass Barr as much as possible. They need to get Mueller to testify if they can.

As the MSM pretends we all have goldfish brains and can't remember that they spent the last two years convicting Donald Trump in the court of public opinion, the New York Post is out with "Mueller Madness" brackets to determine who in the media takes the cake for the peddling the most fiction.

The president’s haters no doubt wish to memory-hole collusion and move on to the next anti-Trump theory. But not so fast: We want to laurel the punditry “champion” — the one who peddled the most nonsensical nonsense, the wildest inanities, the weirdest theories and unsubstantiated stories.

That’s where your brackets come in.

Our contenders are divided into four groups (not unlike NCAA conferences): the print journalists, the cable TV talkers, the Twitterati and the network news reporters and “analysts.” And the brackets are seeded, with the most visible and influential figures contending against the lesser-known.

Please don't pay attention to Trump accusing Democrats of treason, a crime for which they can be executed. Possibly that is why many cowardly, spineless Democrats want to give up on investigating Trump:

Many Democrats appeared eager to pivot back to health care, an issue that cut their way during last year’s midterm elections, after a summary of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s report suggested it was far less damaging to Trump than many had expected.

And Republicans?

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Monday laid out his next steps for dealing with the aftermath of Robert Mueller’s investigation into President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. First up: Launch an investigation into whether Hillary Clinton, Trump’s former democratic challenger, got help from President Barack Obama’s Department of Justice.

You have to applaud Republicans. They never gave up on Benghazi. That led directly to Hillary’s emails, and they never gave up on that. It seemed hopeless, but they never gave up. And in the end, they won. They managed to get even a buffoon like Donald Trump elected president.

Look at the big picture. We know almost nothing about the Mueller report except for the carefully curated excerpts provided by a partisan attorney general, but many Democrats are eager to give up anyway. Even though we almost literally know nothing. In the meantime, Republicans, based on nothing at all, are revving up yet another investigation of Hillary Clinton—who is now a private citizen and will never run for any public office again.

I don't recall anyone being upset when Trump called a drone strike during an evening meal to impress Xi Jinping. Trump killed 9 civilians. Perhaps it was only entertainment and no reason to call into question fathead Trump's judgement. The confirmation that Trump killed the wrong people came only later, well after Trump and Xi forgot all the details, other than how much fun they had overeating and laughing.

Don't try that shit. Blaming drone strikes or wars or coups on one President or ideological side is something we do when comparing what big pieces of evil shit all of them are... cause they all have done it or are currently doing it.

Using that to justify your somewhat frequently expressed desire to assassinate the president, and the violent fantasy you have of being the "hero" that did it isn't going to fly with anyone here, except for maybe Marcos.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Hey, 6ix, Trump destroyed public discourse. Trump used the word treason. Trump has threatened to assassinate his political enemies. And he is not doing it anonymously. He is doing it as the head of the Republican Party. And Trump voters are not complaining about Trump. Instead, they complain about the people who speak in the same way as Trump, about killing their enemy. Trump voters should be complaining to Trump about his language. Maybe even complaining when he orders drone strikes while dining with Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago, strikes that kill children.

Trump insisted the Mueller investigation was the result of some sort of targeted effort by high-ranking officials to bring him down.

TRUMP: "It went very high up, and it started fairly low, but with instructions from the high up. This should never happen to a president again. We can't allow that to take place."

REPORTER: "Do you think it reached the West Wing of the Obama White House?"

TRUMP: "Yes. I don't want to say that, but I think you know the answer."

He doesn't provide evidence for these claims because a) none exists and b) his supporters don't require it.

Trump refuses to give up the idea that Mueller, a lifelong Republican handpicked for the special counsel job by Trump appointee Rod Rosenstein, was somehow leading an Obama-inspired bureaucratic coup against him EVEN AFTER Mueller's final report was as favorable to Trump as he could have wanted, speaks to the depths of Trump's commitment to his conspiracies.

When Trump made a claim that Obama had ordered his phone at Trump Tower tapped during the 2016 campaign, Trump never offered any proof; intelligence and national security officials denied it happened. Didn't matter. To this day, lots and lots of Trump supporters believe Obama did it.

The most that William Barr plans to make available is his own carefully curated version of the Mueller report. And even that will take several weeks. This is the exercise of raw power just because nobody can stop him. It’s very hard not to conclude from this that Mueller’s report has some pretty damaging details in it that will never see the light of day if Trump has his way.

This should be an outrage to everyone, regardless of party, but instead it looks like it will just fly under the radar. Trump says the Mueller report is a complete exoneration, and that’s the story they’re sticking with. Nobody will ever be allowed to know anything different.

After Watergate, it was unthinkable that a president would fire an F.B.I. director who was investigating him or his associates. Or force out an attorney general for failing to protect him from an investigation. Or dangle pardons before potential witnesses against him.

But the end of the inquiry by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, made clear that President Trump had successfully thrown out the unwritten rules that had bound other chief executives in the 45 years since President Richard M. Nixon resigned under fire, effectively expanding presidential power in a dramatic way.

Mr. Mueller’s decision to not take a position on whether Mr. Trump’s many norm-shattering interventions in the law enforcement system constituted obstruction of justice means that future occupants of the White House will feel entitled to take similar actions. More than perhaps any other outcome of the Mueller investigation, this may become its most enduring legacy.

6ix, I've told you 100 times (making you resentful) that Trump's election was not a tragedy for me. The guy has been stuffing my bank account with money. It has never come in faster than now. If he crashes the economy or the stock market, I've got vast amounts of cash to buy assets cheaply, in the same way you bought a bank foreclosure house cheaply. His failures will increase my fortune. On the other hand, a Democratic President would have been completely stymied by the GOP Congress. If a Democrat is President in 2021, same thing happens. If Trump stays 6 more years, he will make me richer by far than a Democrat could. And Trump might even wreck the GOP's reputation in the same way Pres. Herbert Hoover did. Hoover's failures were followed by decades of much better government by Democrats. Many fortunes were made purchasing stocks cheaply after the Crash of 1929 as they were after the Crash of 2008, the one caused by Republican regulators' incompetence at controlling Wall St. and Bankers.
www.history.com/news/2008-financial-crisis-causes

I'm voting for the Democrats, but when Republicans win I will get paid a consolation prize worth $millions. For ideological reason, Democrats won't pay me because I already have more than 99% of Americans, but the GOP sure will pay.

But instead, he and his staff chose to come up w/ this silly video, in full denial of the facts ?
