That is where your statements wind up, GSTRING. You've failed to make any distinction whatsoever between the checkout magazines and the M$M by failing to hold the M$M to any meaningful standard. Just because something might be newsworthy or beneficial to your cause or even historic (if true) and was posted somewhere else does not make it news, it makes it GOSSIP. Yanno, I don't know of this is true or not, but I heard that ... is the very definition of gossip. The point of separation between Buzzfeed/checkout magazines and the so-called M$M is to at least validate the content of the stories that they "run with".

Yanno Did it really happen? If it didn't happen- it's not news.

Apparently, not only can't we NOT count on the M$M to provide us with an objective selection of facts (Say, what's been happening in Yemen lately? Anyone seen any news on that?) and the full context of their stories, we can't even count on them to report things that actually happened because they're allowed- you say- to repeat shit without verification.

Yanno, if they had AT LEAST stuck to that principle ... sticking with verifiable facts ... they might have saved us a lot of grief, a lot of war, and a lot of misunderstanding. But they act as stenographers for the deep state, and simply repeat what the deep state wants us to hear/see. Saddam's WMD, Noreiga's drug-running, Qaddaffi's massacring his own people, Assad gassing his own people, Steele "dossier" and all that.

I'd be interested in you taking another crack at making a meaningful distinction between the M$M news and any checkout-stand gossip rag. Tell us what the M$M is supposed to be doing instead of the magazines that print My husband's ghost saved me from a plane crash!

Donald Trump’s bagman, Michael Cohen, was set to testify publicly before the House Oversight Committee on February 7th. But on Wednesday, Lanny Davis released the following statement on behalf of his client:

Due to ongoing threats against his family from President Trump and Mr. Giuliani, as recently as this weekend, as well as Mr. Cohen’s continued cooperation with ongoing investigations, by advice of counsel, Mr. Cohen’s appearance will be postponed to a later date…This is a time where Mr. Cohen had to put his family and their safety first.

It is worth noting that “a later date” could be in doubt because Cohen is scheduled to begin his three-year prison term on March 6th.

This is all in reference to comments made by the president and Giuliani about Cohen’s father-in-law, Fima Shusterman. For example, here is what Trump said during an interview with Jeanine Pirro:

But he [Cohen] should give information maybe on his father-in-law, because that’s the one that people want to look at. Because where does that money — that’s the money in the family. And I guess he didn’t want to talk about his father — he’s trying to get his sentence reduced.

It’s difficult to know exactly what Trump is threatening with statements like that, but we know that all three players involved—Cohen, Trump, and Shusterman—have ties to some very unsavory characters in the Russian mafia. In any case, it was enough to get Cohen to back out of his public testimony before congress.

At this point, House Oversight Committee Chairman Cummings hasn’t decided whether to subpoena Cohen to testify. But to the extent that the implied threats from Trump and Giuliani are responsible for his decision to back out, that would qualify as witness tampering. The longer this goes on, the deeper Trump digs his own hole.

Here's a very well researched, thought out and well spoken video on this very topic, by a Youtuber who is extremely intelligent and has a lot of fascinating work that is backed up by so many facts that you're liable to choke on them.

You wouldn't be interested in any of that though, especially since most of her work is around the 40 minute range.
