Trump supporters keep turning into criminals. What a strange coincidence.

Shady characters seem drawn to President Donald Trump like mosquitoes to a swamp-side bug zapper.

It’s strange, really. You’d never expect a man who ran a perfectly legitimate fraudulent online university to be so felon-adjacent.

But here we are, on the heels of what presidential scholars, people with a pulse and raccoons of slightly above-average intellect would call “a really bad day” for the president.

Castro Valley man allegedly cursed Trump, tried to stab GOP congressional candidate

A Castro Valley man shouting profanities about President Trump attacked a Republican congressional candidate who was working an election booth at a town festival, threatening him and trying to stab him with a switchblade, authorities and the candidate said Tuesday.

Farzad Vincent Fazeli, 35, was jailed after the alleged Sunday attack on Rudy Peters at the Castro Valley Fall Festival. Alameda County prosecutors charged Fazeli on Tuesday with a felony count of making criminal threats and misdemeanor counts of exhibiting a deadly weapon and possessing a switchblade.

No one was seriously injured. In an interview, Peters said he had never been concerned about his safety prior to Sunday, though his wife has often warned him to be careful.

It’s a shame,” he said. “People are just polarized right now, and this country’s divided and it’s just a mess. It shouldn’t be that way.”

Sheriff’s deputies responded at about 3:45 p.m. to a report of a possible knife attack at the festival on Castro Valley Boulevard. According to officials, witnesses told deputies that Fazeli approached Peters in an “aggressive manner” at his booth, and made “disparaging remarks” about the GOP and “elected officials.”

“All of a sudden we hear someone screaming, “F— Trump, f— Trump!” Peters recalled. He said the man raised his middle finger and was “standing right in front of the booth.”

Peters had been sitting with Joseph Grcar, a Republican state Assembly candidate. He said they were both “kind of shocked” by the outburst, but that the man seemed like he was walking off. “The next thing you know,” Peters said, “he stops and turns around and says, ‘I’ll show you,’ and runs at the booth.”

Peters said the man grabbed a coffee cup from the table and threw it at him, prompting Peters to come around the table and “grab him.” Peters said he threw him to the ground before the suspect hopped back up, reached into his pocket and grabbed the switchblade.

“He’s screaming, ‘I’m gonna kill you, motherf—er!’” Peters said. “He had the knife, but the blade wouldn’t shoot out.”

A sheriff’s deputy said in a court affidavit that Fazeli threatened to use the pink switchblade on Peters but “could not open it.”

Peters said he grabbed a sign from a nearby cupcake booth and braced to use it as a shield. Someone stepped in and urged the attacker to calm down, Peters said, before he left the booth.

Peters reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office, which had deputies seated a few booths away. Fazeli was soon detained at a nearby bank, officials said.

Peters is running for the 15th Congressional District of California, which represents Hayward and the surrounding area and eastern Alameda County, and is a supporter of President Trump. Peters’ website advertises “MAGA” on its home page, an acronym for Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.”

Trump’s ties to the Russian mafia go back 3 decades

On November 9, 2016, just a few minutes after Donald Trump was elected president of the United States, a man named Vyacheslav Nikonov approached a microphone in the Russian State Duma (their equivalent of the US House of Representatives) and made a very unusual statement.

“Dear friends, respected colleagues!” Nikonov said. “Three minutes ago, Hillary Clinton admitted her defeat in US presidential elections, and a second ago Trump started his speech as an elected president of the United States of America, and I congratulate you on this.”

Nikonov is a leader in the pro-Putin United Russia Party and, incidentally, the grandson of Vyacheslav Molotov — after whom the “Molotov cocktail” was named. His announcement that day was a clear signal that Trump’s victory was, in fact, a victory for Putin’s Russia.

Longtime journalist Craig Unger opens his new book, House of Trump, House of Putin, with this anecdote. The book is an impressive attempt to gather up all the evidence we have of Trump’s numerous connections to the Russian mafia and government and lay it all out in a clear, comprehensive narrative.

The book claims to unpack an “untold story,” but it’s not entirely clear how much of it is new. One of the hardest things to accept about the Trump-Russia saga is how transparent it is. So much of the evidence is hiding in plain sight, and somehow that has made it harder to accept.

But make no mistake: Trump’s ties to shady Russian figures stretch back decades, and Unger diligently pieces them together in one place. Although Unger doesn’t provide any evidence that Trump gave the Russians anything concrete in return for their help, the case he makes for how much potential leverage the Russians had over Trump is pretty damning.

I was going to post to REAVERFAN about the relative body-count of Nazi/fascist/white supremacist groups versus antifa.

My point was going to be that the KKK was founded in 1915, Nazis and fascists (and successors) have been around since about 1930. So they'ev had a lot of time to pile up the bodies, whereas "antifa" (left-wing authoritarianism) has only existed in the USA for a relatively short period of time.

But if your group's philosophy is nutty enough and extreme enough, sooner or later you'll start attracting the nut-jobs, just like other nutty groups attract nut jobs. and sure enough ....

Mark J. Bird, a 69-year old longtime sociology professor at the College of Southern Nevada shot himself in the bathroom of a campus building where he works, and is now facing felony gun charges after the August 28 incident, revealed for the first time this week based on a police report.

Police confirm in their court report that the professor "had shot himself in protest of President Donald Trump".

Report: Las Vegas professor shot himself in arm to protest Trump

A longtime College of Southern Nevada sociology professor is facing felony gun charges in connection with an on-campus shooting on the second day of classes.

Mark J. Bird, 69, was charged last month with discharging a gun within a prohibited structure, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property, court records show. He was found bleeding from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his arm about 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 28 outside a bathroom in the Charleston campus K building.

Inside the bathroom, campus police found a $100 bill taped to a mirror along with a note that said, “For the janitor,” according to Bird’s arrest report. On the floor of the restroom was a black-and-white, .22-caliber pistol and one spent shell casing.

The sociology professor was hired Aug. 26, 1993, and was an emeritus faculty member at the time of the shooting, college spokesman Richard Lake said. Bird was not scheduled to teach any courses during the fall 2018 semester.

Bird was employed with the college as of Tuesday, although Lake said it was not clear what disciplinary actions, if any, would be taken against him.

A 911 call was made after several CSN employees and at least one student saw Bird stumble out of the bathroom, bleeding, before he collapsed, the report said. None of the witnesses — who later told police they only recalled hearing “a loud noise” — initially knew Bird was armed and had shot himself, according to the report.

One college employee told police that he held Bird’s hand to calm him down as others tried to stop the bleeding. While waiting for authorities to arrive, Bird said he had shot himself in protest of President Donald Trump, police noted in their report.

So the police included that in their report

The report did not elaborate.

A campuswide alert was sent about 9 a.m. the day of the shooting, deeming the scene safe and alerting students that the firearm had been recovered.

No - you still don't got it.

Depends on what the speech is and who's trying to do the punishment for it.

"Regardless of what officials may think about the protests, the First Amendment prohibits government from discriminating against individuals and organizations based on the content of their speech and the viewpoints they express."

So if the government ran Twitter, they would not be able to close down offensive accounts - depending of course on what that speech was. Remember: fire / theater example that gets repeated about a dozen times a year on this forum?

I suspect you won't got any of that either.

We Now Have Even More Proof That Family Separation Was the Policy
New documents show Kirstjen Nielsen almost certainly lied.
https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a23457396/kirstjen-nielsen-famil
y-separation-policy-lie
/

Pure SCUMBAGS, top to bottom.

The administration is trying to deter migrants with the threat of concentration camps and does not give a single fuck how fucked that actually is and neither does their base.

They are actual fascists.

I believe it was Sessions who would later claim that the family separations was a deterrent policy; that it was put in place to convince some families not to immigrate. But that's a lie. They had the policy in place, then tried to hide the fact that they were kidnapping children: but hidden incentives don't work. If you want to change people's behavior, they have to know about the change in incentives: when the government lied about the family separation, they obscured those incentives.

If the purpose of family separation was to prevent family-crossings, then they would have been up front about it. Instead they denied the separations were occurring. This is because the intention was never to protect families from the dangers of immigration, it was simply to hurt them. The policy is cruel by design, and any lie about helping people was a political afterthought.

Media Manipulation: Story About Migrant Children SCRUBBED After UN Said It Happened On Obama’s Watch

After reporting on detained migrant children, AFP and Reuters scrubbed the story when the United Nations revealed it happened on Barack Obama’s watch.

Rather than issue a correction, several news agencies have instead opted to delete a story stating that 100,000 migrant children were detained in US border facilities. This decision to delete comes after the United Nations clarified that the number is years old, predating the age of Trump ...

No worries.

You can use any one of those three sites to archive web pages, and it's really easy to do. You pretty much just post the link and click a button to archive it.

I'll have to find the address to the one that a few youtubers I watch use. I know it's not any of the three that I put up there.

I wouldn't expect the internetarchive link to be very trustworthy, as they've already purged quite a bit of content that was political and some that was even non political. That's the problem when something becomes as mainstream as it has become. Like anything else, I suppose it's always good practice to backup things in several locations.

Too bad we didn't get to this one before they scrubbed it from most of the websites. But keep this in mind when you see something that you know is blatantly false and back it up so we can call them out on their bullshit lies when they try to erase the evidence.

How about this narrative? Scumbag Trump is stealing $2,000 per day:

The U.S. Secret Service paid more than $250,000 to President Trump’s private businesses in just the first five months of his presidency — paying Trump’s company an average of nearly $2,000 per day, according to Secret Service records. Documents released previously had shown $84,000 in federal spending at Trump properties in the first months of Trump’s time in office. These new records, detailing spending on Secret Service credit cards, show another $254,000 by the Secret Service alone.

Those records, obtained by the group Property of the People after an open-records lawsuit, detail some of the revenue that Trump derives from U.S. taxpayers. Trump is obviously not cooperating, but what did you expect? Fortunately, after years delay and litigation, records from 2017 become available, but nobody except Trump knows how much he is stealing in 2019.
