How did our comrades miss this one?

Apparently, Trump has been dipping his hand into the charitable cookie jar.
No, no...naughty, naughty.

Quote:

The New York State attorney general’s office filed a scathingly worded lawsuit on Thursday taking aim at the Donald J. Trump Foundation, accusing the charity and the Trump family of sweeping violations of campaign finance laws, self-dealing and illegal coordination with the presidential campaign.

Ahhh, the tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive...

Not just the most corrupt president ever, but possibly the most corrupt family, most corrupt individual, the most corrupt PoS... He's going down for multiple things and he's going to drag a lot of people with him.

Meh... although I'm willing to concede that he is quite corrupt, and his family may possibly be as well, pending a legitimate trial proving these allegations, I still think it would be a tie between the Trumps and the Clintons.

Why are you guys slaves to your partisan hyperbole?

The more State indictments against Trump and his cronies the better. No pardons can be issued to those found guilty by the State.

Methinks you're conflating the words indictments and sentences.

The corrupt and disgraced AG Scheiderman was in such a hurry to whitewash the obvious corruption of The Clinton Crime Family Foundation, but then uses advanced handwavium technology to nitpick and fabricate pretend violations regarding anything about Trump.
I don't think anybody "missed it" but reasonable people knew enough to ignore it.
Notice when it came out? The day of, and a little before the IG Report on FBI, DoJ Crimes committed? Trying to steal thunder.
Notice NYAG is suing (an opinion of being offended), instead of charging a crime (indication a crime was committed)?

Flimsy attempt at distraction, snaring only the ADHD Libtards as usual.

No. I'm the poster who thinks that John Podesta and his brother were buying and selling children, and it might be related to said pizza shop.

Nobody has ever explained any of those emails, by the way.

OOOooo, I'm neutral....blah, blah, wah, wah, wah
Clintons bad.

Pulling out the old Clinton card....partisan hyperbole indeed.

Well, for one thing, the Deep State would never allow a Clinton to be jailed.
Secondly, the FBI has something up their sleeve for Donald and company, just you wait. Thirdly, there's only one Teflon Don....and look what happened to him.
The Deep State always gets their man, just you wait and see.

By the way, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Geezus - that's just as f*cking stupid. 'Cuz running it through a pizza shop makes so much more sense. Did you get a child with a large pepperoni? How'd that work?

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Trump Sued by New York AG

I looked up the difference between a lawsuit and filing charges. The biggest differences I could find are:
lawsuits aren't criminal cases, they're a legal process to recover 'damages'
lawsuits don't involve a breach of law
lawsuits don't result in jail time
the burden of proof is different - in a lawsuit it's the 'preponderance of evidence', in a criminal case it's 'beyond a reasonable doubt'

I think we're all familiar with a defendant winning a criminal case but losing a civil one. For example, OJ Simpson was found criminally 'not guilty', but was required to pay the Goldman family for wrongful death.

What strikes me as unusual is a state acting as an individual and filing a civil case - a lawsuit - to recover 'damages'.

It makes me think either their was no criminal misconduct, or the state lacks enough evidence to pass the 'reasonable doubt' hurdle.

Unless the state can actually recover significant damages, this looks like grandstanding.

SECOND is a troll because it constantly misrepresents what people post, fails to address their actual positions, and resorts to personal attacks when its brain isn't working (which is most of the time).

I dunno. Has anybody ever figured out what a handkerchief that seemed to be a map that was pizza related was?

What you state below is closer to the truth than not, so your "looking into" the matter is generally correct.

But I've copied an excerpt from the linked article that expounds upon your
research:

Quote:

She also recently accused Mr. Trump of “undermining the rule of law” with his pardon practices. She made the comment when she announced she was continuing an effort begun under Mr. Schneiderman to change New York’s double-jeopardy law so that state and local prosecutors would have the power to bring criminal charges against aides to Mr. Trump who have been pardoned.

The Trump Foundation has been in legal limbo since after the election, when the president wanted to dissolve it amid growing controversy about its practices. But in late 2016, a spokeswoman for the attorney general’s office, Amy Spitalnick, said the foundation “cannot legally dissolve” while it is under investigation.

Hope that helps.
