Early in 2017, reports were published of a video shot by Chilean Navy of an unidentified flying object.

Later, in the fall of '17, a video and report of a declassified US navy encounter from November 2004 of another UFO was released.

I'm no ufologist, and to be honest, I'm a hard skeptic, but the 2nd story really has me wondering. The story had been out for a few weeks, but really got wide spread attention right before the holidays. Naturally, due to the lack of any real clear evidence - it's a glowing tic-tac - and the news cycle what it is, this story is quickly being pushed to the back of the shelf.

So much else out there to grab our attention, and yet there's stuff like this... we hear about, nod in agreement that it's curious, then we move on.

I'm kinda wanting answers.

Sometimes I just hope that the aliens force themselves upon the world to break up the monotony.

I can only hope they're a race of 99%-ers that have stood back long enough and watched what the 1% does and finally felt the need to intervene.

That's what I thought too ! I mean, all we really see on video , in both cases, is a white / black ( depending on the video mode ) object , with no perception of depth... the Chilean video seems more like a plan unloading extra fuel, but still... the Navy pilot's testimony is what really perks my interest. He's the one who has seen 1000's of hours of flight time and he has no idea. That's concerning.

I hate crap like this. Those who already believe in this stuff act as if ' yep, just as we always knew... ' but there's nothing really to SEE from this. It's a mystery. A damn curious one. But if an experienced F18 pilot says this was beyond his own craft, not by a little, but a whole lot, then that's not nothin.

Outwardly, I get why the govt can't go into high gear and freak out. It shows, confusion, uncertainty , weakness, and that's not what one wants in their military. But if the skies over or near my country had this sort of stuff flying around, I'd want answers too.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

It's all 50/50 to me. Maybe the Mandella Effect is real and/or we're just living in a Matrix-type simulation. Maybe aliens have walked among us for centuries. Maybe everything is just as boring and mundane as it all seems and we're completely alone in our single universe without a creator.

I dunno.

There's some crazy tech the Government has. Stuff that our great grand kids will get as Christmas toys. Maybe the government figured out how to project holograms over the Pacific ocean to scare the hell out of people as a massive psych test? The kids in 2080 will be playing the Chess game from Star Wars with a scaled down version of the same tech.
