I thought the problem was RUSSIA!!! RUSSIA!!! RUSSIA!!!

What's the matter? That fake news not working out well for you? Decided to engage in a bit of goalpost-moving, did you?

The point has always been that Trump was/is/will be a crook. Becoming President did not straighten Trump. Signym, I know you deny that Trump continues with his crooked deals, but he is a very energetic criminal, much like John Gotti, who got convicted by Mueller for loansharking, illegal gambling, obstruction of justice, bribery and tax evasion. Too many unrelated things for Signym to understand. As said in the article about Gotti: "Robert Mueller, who would go on to head the F.B.I., had discovered the logic that is the unwritten precept in any treatise on the art of the deal: winning is better than losing. It is ample justification for most any compromise."

Signym, I forgot to mention Gotti never admitted he had done any wrong, even to the day he died. Trump won't, either. Does that mean both are innocent victims of Mueller? I think not.

So what? Name me one President who WASN'T a crook and/or a liar. At the VERY BEGINNING, I said that Trump and Hillary were MORAL EQUIVALENTS, with perhaps an edge given to Trump simply because he didn't have the years in-office with which to accumulate wealth. Bill was at least as bad a pussy-grabber. Bush was a brain-burned dry drunk and worse ... he was just Cheney's sock puppet. And Hillary??? My oh my. If Hillary had ever been properly investigated she would never have run for office.

SECOND, son, I don't vote for candidates because they're "nice people". I vote for them because of the POLICIES that I hope they'll follow. And I don't despise Presidents because of their personal foibles ... I couldn't give a rat's ass about Monica, but Bill's POLICIES were terrible and destructive to our nation.

Grow up, son. Stop looking for a mommy or daddy in the White House.

I am passing this on from someone who's connecting some dots with input from sources he cannot reveal.

Here's what it looks like when all the pieces are sewn together

It smells like conspiracy and treason. Everyone needs to read this. Slowly, and patiently, because it’s very important......

From 2001 to 2005 there was an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

A Grand Jury had been impanelled.

Governments from around the world had donated to the “Charity”.

Yet, from 2001 to 2003 none of those “Donations” to the Clinton Foundation were declared. Now you would think that an honest investigator would be able to figure this out.

Look who took over this investigation in 2005: None other than James Comey; Coincidence? Guess who was transferred into the Internal Revenue Service to run the Tax Exemption Branch of the IRS? None other than, Lois “Be on The Look Out” (BOLO) Lerner. Isn’t that interesting?

But this is all just a series of strange coincidences, right?

Guess who ran the Tax Division inside the Department of Injustice from 2001 to 2005?

No other than the Assistant Attorney General of the United States,

Rod Rosenstein.

Guess who was the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation during this time frame?

Another coincidence (just an anomaly in statistics and chances), but it was Robert Mueller.

What do all four casting characters have in common?

They all were briefed and/or were front-line investigators into the Clinton Foundation Investigation.

Another coincidence, right?

Fast forward to 2009....

James Comey leaves the Justice Department to go and cash-in at Lockheed Martin.

Hillary Clinton is running the State Department, official government business, on her own personal email server.

The Uranium One “issue” comes to the attention of the Hillary.

Like all good public servants do, supposedly looking out for America’s best interest, she decides to support the decision and approve the sale of 20% of US Uranium to no other than, the Russians.

Now you would think that this is a fairly straight up deal, except it wasn’t, America got absolutely nothing out of it.

However, prior to the sales approval, no other than Bill Clinton goes to Moscow, gets paid 500K for a one hour speech; then meets with Vladimir Putin at his home for a few hours.

Ok, no big deal right? Well, not so fast, the FBI had a mole inside the money laundering and bribery scheme.

Robert Mueller was the FBI Director during this time frame? Yep, He even delivered a Uranium Sample to Moscow in 2009.

Who was handling that case within the Justice Department out of the US Attorney’s Office in Maryland?

None other than, Rod Rosenstein. And what happened to the informant?

The Department of Justice placed a GAG order on him and threatened to lock him up if he spoke out about it.

How does 20% of the most strategic asset of the United States of America end up in Russian hands when the FBI has an informant, a mole providing inside information to the FBI on the criminal enterprise?

Very soon after; the sale was approved!~145 million dollars in “donations” made their way into the Clinton Foundation from entities directly connected to the Uranium One deal.

Guess who was still at the Internal Revenue Service working the Charitable Division? None other than, - Lois Lerner.

Ok, that’s all just another series of coincidences, nothing to see here, right?

Let’s fast forward to 2015.

Due to a series of tragic events in Benghazi and after the 9 “investigations” the House, Senate and at State Department, Trey Gowdy who was running the 10th investigation as Chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi discovers that the Hillary ran the State Department on an unclassified, unauthorized, outlaw personal email server. He also discovered that none of those emails had been turned over when she departed her “Public Service” as Secretary of State which was required by law. He also discovered that there was Top Secret information contained within her personally archived email.

Sparing you the State Departments cover up, the nostrums they floated, the delay tactics that were employed and the outright lies that were spewed forth from the necks of the Kerry State Department, we shall leave it with this…… they did everything humanly possible to cover for Hillary. .

Now this is amazing, guess who became FBI Director in 2013? None other than James Comey; who secured 17 no bid contracts for his employer (Lockheed Martin) with the State Department and was rewarded with a six million dollar thank you present when he departed his employer? Amazing how all those no-bids just went right through at State, huh?

Now he is the FBI Director in charge of the “Clinton Email Investigation” after of course his FBI Investigates the Lois Lerner “Matter” at the Internal Revenue Service and he exonerates her. Nope.... couldn’t find any crimes there.

In April 2016, James Comey drafts an exoneration letter of Hillary Rodham Clinton, meanwhile the DOJ is handing out immunity deals like candy. They didn’t even convene a Grand Jury!

Like a lightning bolt of statistical impossibility, like a miracle from God himself, like the true “Gangsta” Comey is, James steps out into the cameras of an awaiting press conference on July the 8th of 2016, and exonerates the Hillary from any wrongdoing.

Do you see the pattern?

It goes on and on, Rosenstein becomes Asst. Attorney General,Comey gets fired based upon a letter by Rosenstein, Comey leaks government information to the press, Mueller is assigned to the Russian Investigation sham by Rosenstein to provide cover for decades of malfeasance within the FBI and DOJ and the story continues.

FISA Abuse, political espionage..... pick a crime, any crime, chances are...... this group and a few others did it:

All the same players.

All compromised and conflicted.

All working fervently to NOT go to jail themselves

All connected in one way or another to the Clinton's.

They are like battery acid; they corrode and corrupt everything they touch. How many lives have these two destroyed?

As of this writing, the Clinton Foundation, in its 20+ years of operation of being the largest International Charity Fraud in the history of mankind, has never been audited by the Internal Revenue Service.

Let us not forget that Comey's brother works for DLA Piper, the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation's taxes.

The person that is the common denominator to all the crimes above and still doing her evil escape legal maneuvers at the top of the 3 Letter USA Agencies?

Yep, that would be Hillary R. Clinton.

Now who is LISA BARSOOMIAN? Let’s learn a little about Mrs. Lisa H. Barsoomian’s background.

Lisa H. Barsoomian, an Attorney that graduated from Georgetown Law, is a protégé of James Comey and Robert Mueller.

Barsoomian, with her boss R. Craig Lawrence, represented Bill Clinton in 1998.

Lawrence also represented:

Robert Mueller three times;

James Comey five times;

Barack Obama 45 times;

Kathleen Sebelius 56 times;

Bill Clinton 40 times; and

Hillary Clinton 17 times.

Between 1998 and 2017, Barsoomian herself represented the FBI at least five times.

You may be saying to yourself, OK, who cares? Who cares about the work history of this Barsoomian woman?

Apparently, someone does, because someone out there cares so much that they’ve “purged” all Barsoomian court documents for her Clinton representation in Hamburg vs. Clinton in 1998 and its appeal in 1999 from the DC District and Appeals Court dockets (?). Someone out there cares so much that even the internet has been “purged” of all information pertaining to Barsoomian.

Historically, this indicates that the individual is a protected CIA operative. Additionally, Lisa Barsoomian has specialized in opposing Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the intelligence community. Although Barsoomian has been involved in hundreds of cases representing the DC Office of the US Attorney, her email address is Lisa Barsoomian at NIH.gov. The NIH stands for National Institutes of Health. This is a tactic routinely used by the CIA to protect an operative by using another government organization to shield their activities.

It’s a cover, so big deal right? What does one more attorney with ties to the US intelligence community really matter?

It deals with Trump and his recent tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum imports, the border wall, DACA, everything coming out of California, the Uni-party unrelenting opposition to President Trump, the Clapper leaks, the Comey leaks, Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusal and subsequent 14 month nap with occasional forays into the marijuana legalization mix …. and last but not least Mueller’s never-ending investigation into collusion between the Trump team and-the Russians.

Why does Barsoomian, CIA operative, merit any mention?

BECAUSE….

She is Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s WIFE!

Meanwhile, the anti-Russia hysteria has followed the same playbook as the Iraq-WMD hysteria - claim your 'intelligence sources' agree on information that, mysteriously, never comes to light, and mount a relentless propaganda campaign using the compliant media.

Shame on you SECOND for being so easily duped by having your emotions so blatantly manipulated by such an obvious crock of shit.

NOPE! Although I PERSONALLY despised her, I voted against her because she's a globalist neocon who was in the process of selling Americans and America downriver.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

The funny thing is - and I know I've posted about this a few times already - I knew a man personally who was falsely accused of murder. Watching the whole thing play out was an eye-opener.

Now the murder was a gay-lover murder, and it took place almost 60 miles from where my acquaintance "Don" worked and lived with his wife and stepchildren. The ONLY "evidence" that the detective had that "Don" was the killer was drunken eyewitness testimony that "Don" was at a gay bar at a certain time and place. The only other piece of evidence was skin that the murderer left on a broken pane of glass as he lept thru the window (yanno, like in the movies) to run away from the scene of the crime (2nd story apartment). THAT evidence was sitting in queue in the crime lab for DNA testing, which wasn't scheduled to take place for about six months.

From the time that the police terrorized "Don's" family ... busting down their apartment door, yelling at the wife and small kids, questioning them about where "Don" was at a certain time and place and then dismissing their alibis for him ... taking him to jail (with a bad electrical burn that he had gotten the day before at work, and then not treating it), denying him bail and attempting to get "Don" to plea bargain to a lesser charge ... and ESPECIALLY the detective's cast-iron certainty that "don" was the perp ... I saw the non-TV version of the "justice system": all the detectives want to do is "clear the case" by charging someone, and all the prosecutors want to do is get a plea deal or a conviction because they are rated on their "conviction rates" ... Evidence that countervails the official narrative is ignored, the system really doesn't care if the suspect is innocent or guilty.

Now "Don" was all kinds of asshole ... he was a drug addict who stole the family money for crack, a flim-flam man who was really smart but never turned his smarts into anything productive, who preyed on the emotional weaknesses of his wife. BUT he wasn't a murderer!

It took six months of "Don" sitting in jail before the DNA testing was completed and "Don" was freed ... job lost, family gone, permanently scarified arm with limited mobility.

Yeah, investigators and prosecutors really DO "go after" innocent people.

If Trump owes a billion or two billion in back taxes, I'm pretty damn sure Trump voters will insist it is no big deal because it is only 10% or 20% of his net worth. Then they will say there is no evidence of more serious wrong doing and the Republicans in Congress will NOT remove Trump from office because it was all just a disagreement about technicalities of real estate tax law, minor points that needed to be corrected by Congress sooner.

It will be like Trump University. Trump didn't admit to any wrongdoing in that, either.

Do you realize that it took 12 years to get Trump to agree to pay $25,000,000 to Trump U students? He has not actually paid the money, yet, but if he had not won the Presidency he would probably still be in court arguing that he is innocent. This Mueller investigation could easily drag out for a dozen years, same as Trump U, which was an obvious open-and-shut case of fraud by Trump.

I now remember that 6ixStringJack voted for Trump, so I should have expected 6ix was pretty blasé about fraud. How do feel about treason? No big deal, either? Only took 40 years to change the minds of some, not many, Republicans who voted for Nixon. Probably take 40 years for Trump.

Robert Mueller three times;

James Comey five times;

Barack Obama 45 times;

Kathleen Sebelius 56 times;

LET'S NOT FORGET THAT MUELLER AND COMEY HOUNDED AN INNOCENT MAN IN THE ANTHRAX CASE WHILE IGNORING THE REAL PERP.

Quote:

First, I’ll say that when I heard Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had appointed Bob Mueller as a special prosecutor, I didn’t experience the same rhapsody as my capital compatriots. Why?
Three reasons.

First, Jim Comey and Bob Mueller have a long history as professional allies. For Mueller to be brought in to investigate the behavior of the guy who sacked Comey seems a conflict of interest. Perhaps this is the wrong way to look at it, and that Mueller’s professionalism will supersede any personal loyalty. Okay, but here’s a second reason:

These two guys, working in tandem, have a track record of bureaucratic infighting – with another Republican White House as their shared adversary -- that belies their reputations for being above political intrigue....

The third and most important factor tempering my enthusiasm for the new special prosecutor is that Comey and Mueller badly bungled the biggest case they ever handled. They botched the investigation of the 2001 anthrax letter attacks that took five lives and infected 17 other people, shut down the U.S. Capitol and Washington’s mail system, solidified the Bush administration’s antipathy for Iraq, and eventually, when the facts finally came out, made the FBI look feckless, incompetent, and easily manipulated by outside political pressure.

This, too, was an enormously complex case. But here are some facts: Despite the jihadist slogans accompanying the mailed anthrax, it had nothing to do with Saddam Hussein or any foreign element; the FBI ignored a 2002 tip from a scientific colleague of the actual anthrax killer, who turned out to be a Fort Detrick scientist named Bruce Edwards Ivins;

Ivins was never proved guilty either, since he committed suicide. The author is guilty of trying and convicting a dead man in the press, just like the press tried and convicted Hatfill originally.
Quote:

the reason is that they had quickly obsessed on an innocent man named Steven Hatfill; the bureau was bullied into focusing on the government scientist by Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy (whose office, along with that of Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, was targeted by an anthrax-laced letter) and was duped into focusing on Hatfill by two sources – a conspiracy-minded college professor with a political agenda who’d never met Hatfill and by Nicholas Kristof, who put his conspiracy theories in the paper while mocking the FBI for not arresting Hatfill.

In truth, Hatfill was an implausible suspect from the outset. He was a virologist who never handled anthrax, which is a bacterium. (Ivins, by contrast, shared ownership of anthrax patents, was diagnosed as having paranoid personality disorder, and had a habit of stalking and threatening people with anonymous letters – including the woman who provided the long-ignored tip to the FBI). So what evidence did the FBI have against Hatfill? There was none, so the agency did a Hail Mary, importing two bloodhounds from California whose handlers claimed could sniff the scent of the killer on the anthrax-tainted letters. These dogs were shown to Hatfill, who promptly petted them. When the dogs responded favorably, their handlers told the FBI that they’d “alerted” on Hatfill and that he must be the killer.

I think in this case we see much the same processes going on: media-whipped hysteria, pressure to find and convict, the cobbling together of bits and pieces pf "evidence" into a damning but false picture.

Does anyone remember when the last "hot thing" about the so-called Russia conspiracy was the fact that some bank in Russia "pinged" Trump Tower? No? On such was all of this hysteria built.

So far, what I see is that there is no evidence of ... let's not use the word "collusion" since that's not a crime, let's use the word "conspiracy" which is a more meaningful term ... between Russia and the Trump campaign. A lot of hot air and many many wasted bytes. I'm still waiting for Julian Assange to testify.

When Trump bleachbits an entire server of subpoenaed emails, accepts hundreds of millions of dollars of "charitable donations" from foreign entities while running for office, pays for dirt FROM THE RUSSIANS on his political rival, and cooks up a secret uranium deal with the Russians, let me know.

second not only forgets, but also denies this.

Why not?

Find me a single defense attorney who has gone to court at some point in their life knowing full well that their client was guilty of the crimes committed.

And Still No Evidence.

After 434 posts, one might imagine somebody might have found at least one tidbit of Evidence. But not one single piece of Evidence after 11 months of this thread! What does that tell us?

Only Evidence is of Mueller's Gang of Criminals (aka SC) committing crimes, FBI committing crimes, CIA committing crimes, DoJ committing crimes.

I'm going to add something parenthetical and a bit sideways to this thread. I was listening to one of those random things that I listen to when I'm working in the kitchen. Sometimes it's NPR. Sometimes it's London Paul or Gerald Celente or Dave X22.

I really don't remember WHO said this but it was just this past week and it really stuck with me: the interviewee said that one of the things that Eisenhower REALLY regretted was having authorized changing the CIA's role from being an intelligence-gathering one to including dirty tricks. From there flowed a whole cascade of black budgets/ black ops, assassinations and destabilizations, drug and gun-running for independent funding: An agency totally out of control.

You hear about it now and again ... Air America, Contras, missing HUD money, the secret cabal in the Philippines. https://www.scribd.com/document/61585320/The-Black-Budget-Report

I don't think the CIA has really changed. They STILL have black budgets and they're still doing black ops, and in this case against the wishes of the President and against the President himself. If we knew how deep the rabbit hole went, we'd probably all be stunned and a bit sickened. Just my $0.02.

A timeline surrounding Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with the Russian lawyer

meeting-with-the-russian-lawyer
/

Last Updated Jul 11, 2017 7:43 PM EDT

More details about Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign have surfaced in recent days, in the face of persistent White House denials of any collusion between Trump campaign and Russia during the election cycle.

The president's eldest son has also offered a succession of responses to these developments. The New York Times first reported the meeting on July 8. On Tuesday, the Times reported that Trump Jr. had been informed that the compromising information the Russian lawyer was going to offer him on Hillary Clinton was part of the Russian government's effort to help President Trump's candidacy.

Here's a timeline of the Trump Jr. meeting and the email correspondence around it:

June 3, 2016
Rob Goldstone, a British-born music publicist and former tabloid reporter, emails Trump Jr. saying that Emin Agalarov, an Azerbaijani Moscow-based singer and businessman Trump Jr. knew from the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow, had just called Goldstone "with something very interesting."

"The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with [Emin Agalarov's] father this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father."

The email also says, "This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin."

"Aras" is Emin Agalarov's father, a Russian billionaire with apparent connections to the Kremlin. Aras Agalarov was responsible for bringing Trump's Miss Universe pageant to Moscow in 2013.

Goldstone offers in his email to send the information to Mr. Trump, "but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first," he wrote to Trump Jr.

Trump Jr. replies, "If it's what you say, I love it especially later in the summer."

June 7, 2016
Goldstone emails Trump Jr. again and says Emin asked that he schedule a meeting with Trump Jr. and "the Russian government attorney" who is flying over from Moscow on the following Thursday.

On the day that Mr. Trump clinched the Republican nomination, as The Washington Post's Phillip Bump pointed out, Mr. Trump promised to give a "major speech" within days that would be "very informative" on the topic of the Clintons.

"I am going to give a major speech on probably Monday of next week and we're going to be discussing all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons," he said. "I think you're going to find it very informative and very, very interesting."

That speech would have taken place four days after Trump Jr.'s meeting with Veselnitskaya.

June 9, 2016
Donald Trump Jr. meets with Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, who has ties to the Kremlin, at Trump Tower. Campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Mr. Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, also attend the meeting. Veselnitskaya told NBC News that she "never had any damaging or sensitive information about Hillary Clinton," and "it was never my intention to have that." She also denied having any connections to the Kremlin.

Veselnitskaya also said that Kushner was only present at the meeting for the first 7-10 minutes and Manafort looked at his phone during the meeting and did not actively participate.

July 24, 2016
A month after Trump Jr.'s email exchange and subsequent meeting with Veselnitskaya, he appeared on CNN. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails had just been leaked, an episode the intelligence community later blamed on the Russians. Robbie Mook, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, had just been interviewed about the leak and suggested that experts were pointing toward Russians as the perpetrators of both the hacking and the leaking of the DNC emails. He also said that the experts thought the actions could be part of a plot to help Mr. Trump and hurt Hillary Clinton.

In response, Trump Jr. told CNN's Jake Tapper, "Well, it just goes to show you their exact moral compass. I mean they'll say anything to be able to win this. I mean, this is time and time again, lie after lie after lie." He went on to characterize Mook's comments as "disgusting" and "so phony." And he said of the Clinton campaign, "They will lie and do anything to win."

November 11, 2016
A few days after the election, Russia's deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, is quoted as telling the Interfax news agency that "there were contacts" with influential people connected to Mr. Trump. But his spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, denies that ever happened. "It never happened," she said, according to NBC News. "There was no communication between the campaign and any foreign entity during the campaign," a statement that was later proved wrong.

December 18, 2016
Kellyanne Conway is asked in an interview on CBS's "Face the Nation" if anyone involved in Mr. Trump's campaign have any contact with Russians trying to interfere in the U.S. presidential election. Conway says, "Absolutely not. And I discussed that with the president-elect just last night. Those conversations never happened. I hear people saying it like it's a fact on television. That is just not only inaccurate and false, but it's dangerous."

2017
March 2017
When Trump Jr. was interviewed by The New York Times in March, the paper says he denied participating in any campaign-related meetings with Russians. "Did I meet with people that were Russian? I'm sure, I'm sure I did," he said. "But none that were set up. None that I can think of at the moment. And certainly none that I was representing the campaign in any way, shape or form."

July 8, 2017
The New York Times first reports that Trump Jr. arranged to meet with Veselnitskaya during the presidential campaign, two weeks after Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, on June 9, 2016 at Trump Tower, and that Manafort and Kushner also attended the meeting. Trump Jr. releases this statement:

It was a short introductory meeting. I asked Jared and Paul to stop by. We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at the time and there was no follow up.

I was asked to attend the meeting by an acquaintance, but was not told the name of the person I would be meeting with beforehand.

July 9, 2017
A day after its report about the meeting, the Times cites three advisers to the White House who told the Times that that Trump Jr. had agreed to meet with Veselnitskaya after he was promised she would provide damaging information about Hillary Clinton. Trump Jr.'s initial statement made no mention of Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee. In his second statement, he elaborates further and acknowledged that he believed he would receive information "helpful" to his father's presidential campaign. Here's the second statement:

I was asked to have a meeting by an acquaintance I knew from the 2013 Miss Universe pageant with an individual who I was told might have information helpful to the campaign. I was not told her name prior to the meeting. I asked Jared and Paul to attend, but told them nothing of the substance. We had a meeting in June 2016. After pleasantries were exchanged, the woman stated that she had information that individuals connected to Russia were funding the Democratic National Committee and supporting Ms. Clinton. Her statements were vague, ambiguous and made no sense. No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information. She then changed subjects and began discussing the adoption of Russian children and mentioned the Magnitsky Act. It became clear to me that this was the true agenda all along and that the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting. I interrupted and advised her that my father was not an elected official, but rather a private citizen, and that her comments and concerns were better addressed if and when he held public office. The meeting lasted approximately 20 to 30 minutes. As it ended, my acquaintance apologized for taking up our time. That was the end of it and there was no further contact or follow-up of any kind. My father knew nothing of the meeting or these events.

July 10, 2017
The New York Times reports that Trump Jr. had been informed by email that the compromising information Veselnitskaya was going to offer him on Hillary Clinton was part of the Russian government's effort to help President Trump's candidacy.

Trump Jr. tweeted, "Obviously, I'm the first person on a campaign to ever take a meeting to hear info about an opponent...went nowhere but had to listen."

The Joss Whedon script for Serenity, where Wash lives, is Serenity-190pages.pdf at https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1uwh75oa407q8/Firefly

Michael Cohen, Trump's former lawyer and one of his closest associates, has testified to a scheme that, at bottom, involves breaking the law to win an election.

On an issue of the highest importance to the campaign — the president’s behavior toward and with women — the campaign, Cohen, and political allies at the media company American Media, Inc. used hundreds of thousands of dollars to bury the damaging information. To do this, they had to violate the limits on contributions, the ban on corporate spending, and the campaign law’s public-reporting requirements. Moreover, Cohen has stated that this was all done in coordination with and at the direction of the president.

This do-what-it takes indifference to the law tracks closely the Russian evidence known to date. Here, too, was a campaign priority — stay on the attack on alleged Hillary Clinton misdeeds, most prominently campaign “email” issues. They received an offer of assistance from a lawyer they were told represented the Russian government, and the campaign hosted her in New York, with Manafort and others in the senior management team in attendance. This was not the only such contact, but it was a dramatic acceptance of Russian government assistance, following a clear statement in the email traffic preceding the meeting that left no doubt of Kremlin sponsorship of the initiative. As in the Cohen campaign-finance matter, there is no indication that lawyers were consulted or that anyone considered the legal issues. In both cases, the president and his representatives lied about the nature of the meeting. The president participated directly in the falsehoods by dictating the subsequent statement mischaracterizing the nature of the meeting. And all of this is only what we know so far about the campaign-Russia alliance, except that there were a range of other contacts with the Russians that remain the subject of investigation.

As for constitutional defenses, Russians have no First Amendment rights to influence U.S. elections, and Americans have limited constitutional defenses when actively helping Russians do so. A challenge to the constitutionality of the broad ban on foreign national spending — which includes providing anything of “value” to a campaign — failed before the courts: The Supreme Court authored a decisive and unanimous ruling upholding a lower-court opinion authored by Judge Brett Kavanaugh. A presidential campaign defending its knowing solicitation of, and support for, illegal foreign-national interference in a U.S. election should expect no greater success.

Trump would have his supporters believe that he faces these serious legal problems only because his adversaries wish to dispute the legitimacy of the election. He is deceiving himself or his intended audience, or both.

Richard Nixon, his administration and his campaign’s various criminal acts, the substantive crimes and the cover-up, have come to be loosely packaged under the name “Watergate.” The scandal is more generally understood to refer to a president who did, authorized, or encouraged whatever he thought it took to win without regard to legal and ethical constraints, and then directed a cover-up. It all came down to a question of character and a president’s respect for law. Each day that Donald Trump lies, tweets his contempt for the legal process and dangles pardons for witnesses, the 37th and 45th presidents come to seem ever more alike and their presidencies — one infamous for “Watergate” and the other for “Collusion” — may prove to have been shortened for much the same reasons.

How confused can second get? Quite flummoxed, apparently.
When Cohen's was raided by the FBI Criminals, it didn't seem like much more than an opportunity for the Clinton/FBI/CIA/DoJ Crime Family to plant Evidence.
This was largely dependent upon the poor assumption that Trump had not surrounded himself with Liberal Criminal Democrats.
So lifelong Democrat Cohen scrounges around for the most Incompetent Defense Lawyer available, and succeeds in finding Libtard Democrap Clintonista Lannie Davis. Cohen wants to plead guilty to Tax Evasion charges, but Liberal Democrap Lannie Davis Colludes with Liberal Democraps at Asst US Atty's to violate Cohen's rights by refusing to accept Cohen's guilty plea. They demand that the only way they will allow him to plea to the Tax Charges is if he also proclaims numerous false statements regarding Trump, so that these ludicrous claims will never need to suffer the light, or burden of proof required in a Court of Law.
Who could possibly fall for such rubbish?
Well, here we have our first finalist: second falls for the whole Fairy Tale.

How confused can second get?

1) When Cohen's was raided by the FBI Criminals, it didn't seem like much more than an opportunity for the Clinton/FBI/CIA/DoJ Crime Family to plant Evidence.

2) This was largely dependent upon the poor assumption that Trump had not surrounded himself with Liberal Criminal Democrats.

3) So lifelong Democrat Cohen scrounges around for the most Incompetent Defense Lawyer available, and succeeds in finding Libtard Democrap Clintonista Lannie Davis.

4) Cohen wants to plead guilty to Tax Evasion charges, but Liberal Democrap Lannie Davis Colludes with Liberal Democraps at Asst US Atty's to violate Cohen's rights by refusing to accept Cohen's guilty plea.

5) They demand that the only way they will allow him to plea to the Tax Charges is if he also proclaims numerous false statements regarding Trump, so that these ludicrous claims will never need to suffer the light, or burden of proof required in a Court of Law.

JewelStaiteFan, when I go sentence by sentence, you really have gone too far in conspiracy theorizing.

1) You claim the FBI planted evidence on Cohen. That ain't like a cop planting a throw-down gun after killing Cohen so that Cohen can't contradict the cop. Cohen would have a marvelous case against FBI if it plants evidence.

2) Then you claim Trump surrounded himself with Liberal Democrats. You are blaming the Democrats for Trump's lawlessness.

3)- 4) Then you blame Cohen's lawyer for Cohen pleading guilty because the lawyer is a Democrat. Blame the prosecutor, too, because he is Democrat.

5) Then Cohen perjures himself into a jail sentence because the prosecutor makes threats that will get the prosecutor disbarred. Cohen would forever be able to threaten the prosecutor with that disbarment.

JewelStaiteFan, I think your best move, and Trump's, is to deny Cohen ever worked for Trump.

Cohen is some crazy street person who claims he worked for Trump. That voice on the tapes is not Trump; it is an impersonator, and not a very good one because you can tell it is fake. Those Trump signatures are all fake.

And because it is all fake, the Republicans in Congress will NOT be looking at any of it. Congress is the only group that can prosecute the President, not the Southern District of New York. As long as Trump is President and the GOP controls 34 seats in the Senate, Trump can't be touched. But he can be harassed by the fake news of the failing NY Times. If only there was a way for Trump to shutdown all the news, except for FOX . . .

1kiki, do what Trump will do: all the emails are fake, manufactured by Hillary. If any laws were broken, it was Hillary that broke them, not Trump. Jeff Sessions should be fired and replaced with an Attorney General who will prosecute Hillary. As an extra bonus, the new Attorney General will shutdown Mueller's investigation, which is a witch hunt.

A lawyer who is on Trump's side recommended Trump take actions that are less radioactive then what I suggest: “I think Trump has constitutional defenses to the investigation being conducted by Mueller,” into Russian interference in the 2016 election, said Alan Dershowitz, who is author of the book, "The Case Against Impeaching Trump."

“But there are no constitutional defenses to what the Southern District is investigating,” the legal scholar said. "I think the Southern District is the greatest threat."

"Last week proves that the special counsel is the least important element in this investigation” into the president and the 2016 campaign, Dershowitz added, referring to former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen's pleading guilty in New York on Tuesday to tax evasion and campaign finance violations.

“My advice to the president, I never gave it to him privately because I’m not his lawyer, but on television is, 'Don’t fire, don’t pardon, don’t tweet and don’t testify,'” Dershowitz said on "This Week."

'Don’t fire, don’t pardon, don’t tweet and don’t testify'
How long do you think Trump could show that much restraint? A week? It has been TWO DAYS since Trump's last tweet blaming Hillary for his legal problems.

1kiki, you should be the next Attorney General, when Trump fires Jeff Sessions. You've found reasons to prosecute Hillary when Sessions could not. Trump needs you to fill that position.

Trump sure needs 1kiki to counteract all this fake bad publicity in the Fake news media:

Here’s House Republicans’ list of all the Trump scandals they’re covering up

It’s not a short list.

Republicans on the Hill have again and again claimed that there is no Donald Trump scandal worth investigating. But in a sign that maybe they aren’t operating totally on the level, Jonathan Swan at Axios reports that a “senior House Republicans office” has compiled a spreadsheet of all the things they believe House Democrats will investigate if they win a majority in November — and they are terrified of what these inquiries might turn up.

In total defiance of the (flawed) logic of the Madisonian constitutional system, Republicans have used their control of the congressional agenda to stymie any kind of rigorous investigation into dozens of urgent scandals swirling around the Trump administration.

Swan reports that “it has churned Republican stomachs” and includes the following:

• President Trump’s tax returns

• Trump family businesses — and whether they comply with the Constitution’s emoluments clause, including the Chinese trademark grant to the Trump Organization

• Trump’s dealings with Russia, including the president’s preparation for his meeting with Vladimir Putin

• The payment to Stephanie Clifford — a.k.a. Stormy Daniels

• James Comey’s firing

• Trump’s firing of U.S. attorneys

• Trump’s proposed transgender ban for the military

• Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s business dealings

• White House staff’s personal email use

• Cabinet secretary travel, office expenses, and other misused perks

• Discussion of classified information at Mar-a-Lago

• Jared Kushner’s ethics law compliance

• Dismissal of members of the EPA board of scientific counselors

• The travel ban

• Family separation policy

• Hurricane response in Puerto Rico

• Election security and hacking attempts

• White House security clearances

Rip it off! What Trump failed to report accurately was his overall approval rating, which he said was fifty-two percent. The only problem with that is that's actually his disapproval rating in the poll. His approval is only forty-four percent.
