Of course you're wrong. Like you, 6ix likes to make bold, sweeping generalizations about the MSM and then says he never watches it. Exactly what I mean about him not having any knowledge of the things he tries to act knowledgable about. One doesn't have to watch Fox to act like one of their zombies. He voted for Trump, right? Connect the dots. He really should ask more questions and make fewer pronouncements imho.

You didn't write this about Puerto Rico?

"How much money should be wasted rebuilding the entire island until the next big hurricane wipes them out again, or until the sea level rises and the only people living on the island are Kevin Kostner from Waterworld?"

How they are doomed to be another Disneyland and have their culture destroyed if they take our money and rebuild? And then tell them what they should do like you have a f*cking clue of how any of that can happen, while your idea totally ignored the fact that that island is their home? Yeah, that's pretty well saying "Fuck Puerto Ricans" to me.

Since I don't like what the GOP does, because I was biased by Nixon, I don't like what Trump does. But Trump has added some personal criminal tendencies to the standard GOP mix:

Trump has spent his entire career breaking various laws, getting caught, and then essentially plowing ahead unharmed. He has continued that as a candidate and a President:

Here’s House Republicans’ list of all the Trump scandals they’re covering up

• President Trump’s tax returns

Trump already emailed his returns to Hilliary - not his fault she deleted them.
Quote:

• Trump family businesses — and whether they comply with the Constitution’s emoluments clause, including the Chinese trademark grant to the Trump Organization
• Trump’s dealings with Russia, including the president’s preparation for his meeting with Vladimir Putin.

preparing for a meeting with a foreign leader? The horrors!!
Quote:

• The payment to Stephanie Clifford — a.k.a. Stormy Daniels
not a crime for Trump, possibly a crime of extortion for Clifford
Quote:

• James Comey’s firing
Presidential perogative and duty is not a crime - already hashed out with the Impeachment of Johnson.
Quote:

• Trump’s firing of U.S. attorneys.
yawn. Ditto.
Quote:

• Trump’s proposed transgender ban for the military
as opposed to the military damaging lifting of bans by Clinton? Is the Armed Forces now the social guinea pig farm of Socialists, Communists, and other whackos?
Quote:

• Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s business dealings
• White House staff’s personal email use

They forgot to delete emails en masse like Hilliary?
Quote:

• Cabinet secretary travel, office expenses, and other misused perks
obviously nothing compared to Secretary Clinton, Secretary Kerry, Moochelle Obama, etc.
Quote:

• Discussion of classified information at Mar-a-Lago
Nothing as treasonous as the same by Clinton & Clinton (including on National TV), Obama (onstage with mics), etc.
Quote:

• Jared Kushner’s ethics law compliance
Since when have Clinton, Clinton, Obama, or minions ever complied with Law? Their practice and policy was to transgress Law at every opportunity.
Quote:

• Dismissal of members of the EPA board of scientific counselors
yawn. Yet another Presidential perogative, responsibility, and Duty? Shockers!
Quote:

• The travel ban
You mean the one upheld by SCOTUS? That one? Really? You are really grasping here. Rumor has it, Trump is also abiding Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Gun Ownership, Freedom to not self-incriminate, even though these have also been upheld by SCOTUS.
Quote:

• Family separation policy
which was already enacted as Law by The Usual Libtard Suspects - Democraps.
Quote:

• Hurricane response in Puerto Rico
Is this anything like New Orleans Mayor Nagal obstructing Federal Aid to ensure his constituents suffered?
Quote:

• Election security and hacking attempts
Hilliary, Comey, Mueller, Obama have yet to be charged with these crimes, so no need to dilly dally around with Fake Claims of Trump doing what we know they did.
Quote:

• White House security clearances
what? The standard delay, following every single change of administration? Patriotic Americans should be thankful of the changing of the swamp creatures.
Quote:

With all of the gibberish that second posts, I had managed to gloss over or ignore much of this post.
But now I noticed a sub-nugget which I quoted here, showing a hilarious list of supposed issues which have offended some of the most easily offended cretins around.

Who really knew there were so many non-crimes? Or that a list was kept of non-crimes?

1kiki, if Federal prosecutors think like that, they would never go to trial on any case. The prosecutors place their reputations on the line when they decide to investigate one thing rather than another. They have to decide if a crime was committed months before a jury decides.

This should be a moment of reflection for white-collar prosecutors.

Before going to trial, does a prosecutor believe that no crimes were committed, but goes to trial anyway so that a jury can look over and double-check the evidence and maybe, just maybe, find a crime that the prosecutor missed or overlooked?

Why not?

Find me a single defense attorney who has gone to court at some point in their life knowing full well that their client was guilty of the crimes committed.

After a long line of unquoted sequence, maybe I don't understand this final sentence in your post.
Did you really mean the opposite?

Hasn't every single Defense Attorney gone to Court with a client they knew was guilty?

Well, the NYT has labored and squeezed out their magnum opus on "the evidence" so far.

Quote:

The Plot to Subvert an Election: Unraveling the Russia Story So Far

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/09/20/us/politics/russia-inte
rference-election-trump-clinton.html

In the two-hundred or so paragraphs of bullshit, innuendo, speculation and (at times) outright lies, you will find the following

Quote:

What Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel in charge of the investigation, may know or may yet discover is still uncertain.
In other words: nothing so far

They describe the possibility that Russia actaully affected the outcome of the election as
Quote:

plausible ...though it cannot be proved or disproved.
In other words, they can concoct a story to that effect.

As far as all of Mueller's successes so far
Quote:

But none of the convictions to date involve conspiracy.

And in terms of evidence
Quote:

Mr. Trump’s frustration with the Russian investigation is not surprising. He is right that no public evidence has emerged showing that his campaign conspired with Russia in the election interference or accepted Russian money.

As Zerohedge commented
Quote:

In an astounding contradiction within a single NYT article, the "mountain of evidence" at the opening becomes Trump "is right that no public evidence has emerged" by the story's closing.

Indeed.

And I once again point out that the KEY activity that the "intelligence" agencies have been harping on over and over as evidence of Russia's interference in our election, the Wikileaks release of Podesta's and DNC emails ... rests on the statement by a DNC-paid computer-security company (the FBI never having examined the server) and without EVER having taken testimony from Julian Assange, who is one of the very few people who actually KNOWS where those files came from. So that part is still a mountain of garbage which the "security" agencies refuse to clear up.

Unless their concocted story can square with basic important facts, it's bullshit, no matter how much topping they put on it.

2) Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chair, was indicted on a total of 25 different counts by Mueller’s team, related mainly to his past work for Ukrainian politicians and his finances. He had two trials scheduled, and the first ended in a conviction on eight counts of financial crimes. To avert the second trial, Manafort struck a plea deal with Mueller in September 2018.

3) Rick Gates, a former Trump campaign aide and Manafort’s longtime junior business partner, was indicted on similar charges to Manafort. But in February he agreed to a plea deal with Mueller’s team, pleading guilty to just one false statements charge and one conspiracy charge.

4) Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty last December to making false statements to the FBI.

5-20) 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies were indicted on conspiracy charges, with some also being accused of identity theft. The charges related to a Russian propaganda effort designed to interfere with the 2016 campaign. The companies involved are the Internet Research Agency, often described as a “Russian troll farm,” and two other companies that helped finance it. The Russian nationals indicted include 12 of the agency’s employees and its alleged financier, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

21) Richard Pinedo: This California man pleaded guilty to an identity theft charge in connection with the Russian indictments, and has agreed to cooperate with Mueller.

22) Alex van der Zwaan: This London lawyer pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Rick Gates and another unnamed person based in Ukraine.

23) Konstantin Kilimnik: This longtime business associate of Manafort and Gates, who’s currently based in Russia, was charged alongside Manafort with attempting to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses in Manafort’s pending case this year.

24-35) 12 Russian GRU officers: These officers of Russia’s military intelligence service were charged with crimes related to the hacking and leaking of leading Democrats’ emails in 2016.

Finally, there are two other people Mueller initially investigated, but then handed over to others in the Justice Department to handle. Both eventually agreed to plea deals.

Michael Cohen: Trump’s former lawyer pleaded guilty to 8 counts — tax and bank charges, related to his finances and taxi business, and campaign finance violations, related to hush money payments to women who alleged affairs with Donald Trump.

Sam Patten: This Republican operative and lobbyist pleaded guilty to not registering as a foreign agent with his work for Ukrainian political bigwigs, and agreed to cooperate with the government.

Manafort guilty and now along with Cohen cooperating fully with Mueller. Stay tuned...

And a Sitting President cannot be indicted.

How productive the past 18 months have been.

Still No Evidence.

Maybe that's because there is no Collusion on the Trump side, only on the Hilliary/Obama side.
Even though there is no Law against Collusion.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

The rise of Donald Trump has made the existing mass media realize that one-sided negative reporting on the man sells better than anything objective can. The MSM have sort of won the battle versus the interwebs, albeit only in that regard, and only for this moment, but that is enough for them for now; just like their readers, they don’t have the scope or the energy to look any further or deeper.

This is what drives outlets like CNN, the New York Times and the Guardian today, because it provides them with readers and viewers. Which they would not have if they didn’t conduct a 24/7 war on a set list of topics they know their audience can’t get enough of.

For these outlets, there are are three targets: Assange, Putin and Trump.

The problem would be evidence. Or it would seem to be, at least. But the news has changed. We are well into the second year of ‘reporting’ on how Trump and Putin have conspired against Hillary, and there is still no proof other than intelligence services swearing on their mothers’ graves that really, Assange, Putin and Trump have targeted our democracies in order to take over control of them by illegal means.

They are the enemy, and you, who are of course on the other side, are their victims.

You seem to have confused "news" with the Entertainment Departments of broadcast Networks. Only one Network has a News Division, and that Division is named Fox News Channel. The rest are only Entertainment Shows.

It was reposted in ZH from another site. I posted it here - with the link - because it contains original links to original information, and a handy summary.

Basically, I'm too darn lazy to pull up and repost every original link, and write a summary myself.

Trump, and his voters, dismiss all negative information about his actions and their consequences as either fake news invented by hostile media or the products of a sinister “deep state.” That kind of conspiracy theorizing has long been standard practice among climate deniers, who began calling the evidence for global warming — evidence that has convinced 97 percent of climate scientists — a “gigantic hoax” 15 years ago.

What was the evidence for this vast conspiracy? A lot of it rested on, you guessed it, hacked emails. The credulousness of all too many journalists about the supposed misconduct revealed by “Climategate,” a pseudo-scandal that relied on selective, out-of-context quotes from emails at a British university, prefigured the disastrous media handling of hacked Democratic emails in 2016. (All we learned from those emails was that scientists are people — occasionally snappish, and given to talking in professional shorthand that hostile outsiders can willfully misinterpret.)

Oh, and what is supposed to be motivating the thousands of scientists perpetrating this hoax? We’ve become accustomed to the spectacle of Donald Trump, the most corrupt president in history leading the most corrupt administration of modern times, routinely calling his opponents and critics “crooked.” Much the same thing happens in climate debate.

The truth is that most prominent climate deniers are basically paid to take that position, receiving large amounts of money from fossil-fuel companies. But after the release of the recent National Climate Assessment detailing the damage we can expect from global warming, a parade of Republicans went on TV to declare that scientists were only saying these things “for the money.” Projection much?

Trump voters claim climate change is media lies and exaggerations. Trump voters claim that Trump is being smeared by media lies and exaggerations. Long before Trump came on the scene, the GOP committed itself to denying the facts on climate change and criminalizing the scientists reporting those facts, even as the damage from a warming planet becomes more and more obvious.

Climate denial is part of a broader moral rot. Donald Trump isn’t an aberration, he’s the culmination of where his party has been going for years. You could say that Trumpism is just the application of the depravity of climate denial to every aspect of politics.

It shouldn’t be necessary for anyone to point out that George HW Bush was basically a war criminal in thinly veiled disguise, who ordered the bombing of a caravan of civilians in Iraq 27 years ago, as the US had invaded Iraq because Saddam Hussein had taken Kuwait egged on by that same US. If you can call that dignified, you have issues.
1kiki said much the same about Obama. Calling Presidents war criminals must be a thing for 1kiki and zerohedge.

I forgot to check if zerohedge also does climate change denial. It does, and in the same way that it denies Trump is a crook.

Fear, of course, is perhaps the greatest motivator in the world. And in this case, fear is entirely rational if one accepts the premise that the world will face a climate apocalypse if net CO2 emissions are not brought to zero. Because that’s almost certainly not going to happen. Fortunately, scientists generally and environmentalists specifically have a rather poor track record when it comes to dire predictions. Yet government’s ability to use perceived threats to expand power is more impressive (and more dangerous).

The GOP uses the same morally bankrupt methods to deny that Trump is a crook and deny climate change: "Climate Denial Was the Crucible for Trumpism"
It’s where the conspiracy theorizing and menacing of critics began.
