'83 or '84, maybe.
My baby bro worked for Apple several years,
& they gave him a computer every year.
Guessing here: He kept the Apple II he got in '82;
the one he got in '83, he gave to my sister Lyn,
a retired computer programmer.
'84 prob'ly when they gave him the Apple ///.
Lyn suggested he give it to me, 'cause she didn't want it.
It came with business software, but it could Emulate 8 kilobytes
of Apple II which was enough to play most of the games at that time.
I played Wizardry I & Ultima I a lot.

... now I'm playing Lord of the Rings online on my PC.

DREAMTROVE

It had a few things going for it. Cameron, first, Summer was terrific, and it was a great character, significantly more complicated than previous terminators. Also I thought Lena, Cersei, made a good Sarah Connor. The cast was otherwise pretty good. The Shirley+daughter scenes were hella creepy. Cromartie, Adam, the Turk guys, the storyline worked, but like with X-Files, standalone episodes beat the through storyline. Allison from Palmdale starts down a really bizarre and interesting path that I thought the writers didn't follow through on because of lack of a continuity editor (I was pleased with the Riley twist, but as I said, too many subplots to track in an hour show.) But the idea that Cameron had been lying when She said John sent her, and then not in fact being the result of a Skynet order (we think) means that she is there on her own volition, using her own motives, which she gives a nod to when she said "maybe some of us don't want war."
It got me thinking. If they lose, then Cameron doesn't exist. She never gts built. If they win, there's no need to build her because her expertise is infiltrating human society. So peace is really the only was she can continue to exist. That taken into account, she's not a free agent, she's a scary robot.

I played Wizardry and Ultima I a couple times, but UII and III a lot, and IV until I gave up. My dad reviewed software, so we got every new game that came out, and I played them all. I could make an 8 bit game review site and probably should. Recently I called up an Atari 800 emulator to play Star Maze
