Well then, all you have to do is put both of these ideas together - do a few quick Google searches and see if the CCTV footage is from one of these old bombings. The CCTV footage is very shocking and recognisable, and the bombing of a hospital is particularly newsworthy, so it will surely not be too difficult to find.

Let us know how you get on.

Dood, you want me to vet YOUR information and YOUR allegations for you?

That's not how it works. Stop being lazy and do it yourself.

Done. It took about 1 minute. I did a Google videos search for "Iraq hospital bombed CCTV" and "rebel shelled hospital Aleppo CCTV" and even "Afghanistan hospital bombed CCTV". Besides one video of a car bomb on a hospital in Yemen that was clearly different, the only results I got were the 2 videos I've already posted, tagged as airstrikes on hospitals in rebel-held Aleppo.

And now let me say Sig that you are full of shit. If you had really smelled a rat about where this video had come from you would have eagerly hunted that rat. What a win it would be if you could publish here that my video was a fake! But no, there is no chance of you doing even a few minutes of research where Russian war crimes are concerned. Nothing gets your head in the sand so quickly as Russian war crimes. What you WILL do instead, is try to muddy the waters as much as you can, and quickly scurry from the thread.

Yanno, I SAID I was going to be really busy, and one of the things I'm not about to do at the moment is vet SOMEONE ELSE'S posts for them. And I notice you didn't provide links, so until you do, I won't know any more about this event that I already do, which is nothing.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

"In February last year, the NGO Physicians for Human Rights said it had documented 224 attacks on 175 health facilities since the start of the conflict, and 599 medical personnel had been killed. The attacks continued after the Russian intervention – the organisation documented at least 10 attacks by Russian aircraft on medical facilities in October alone, the first month of Russia’s aerial campaign."

Let's see ... 224 attacks ... but only 10 specifically claimed as supposedly Russian. Assuming those figures are accurate, who do you think did the other 214 attacks? And why are there no figures on those other 214 attacks? Because, 214 attacks - that's a lot of attacks to not discuss!

Let me just point out that the author left out vital relevant facts in the opinion piece. Doing that is known as cherry-picking. And whether you do that in the news, in discussion, in debate or in opinion, when you distort the facts, you've changed the nature of your communication into propaganda. But WE don't have any of THAT in the US, do we?!

OK, now let ME say: LIAR LIAR! PANTS ON FIRE!

I did a Youtube search for "hospital attack CCTV" and guess what I found*?

That it was exactly as I suspected .... the video was from the attack on the al Quds Hospital THREE MONTHS ago. Since al Quds was supposedly "the last" hospital in rebel-controlled Aleppo", it would have been difficult to find ANOTHER attack on a large hospital. Do you recall who was accused of the attack?

You kept asking "Why would the video only show up now?"
How the hell do I know??? Because the terrorists are hoping to make propaganda points by re-releasing an old video for the unwary to believe them? I believe I said that at the time, too!

EVERYBODY has a story to tell and EVERYBODY has a bias. There are no sources that you should "trust" so in future, vet your info more carefully.

* also, for the sake of completeness Pune Sasson Hospital, Yemen Military Hospital, Alfred Hospital, Hosur Hospital, Jinnah Hospital (Lahore), and Santa Casa de Bage Hospital on the first page

Common SIG, time to blame the victims again.

Syrian Doctors Write Letter to President Obama, Urging Him to Act in Aleppo

Last year, 160,000 patients wounded by war were treated in the 150 hospitals supported by Doctors Without Borders alone. A total of 94 airstrikes and canon bombardments targeted hospitals and clinics supported by the organization and around 63 hospitals were hit, some multiple times, while 12 were completely destroyed.

So Sig and Kik questioned whether Russia & Assad were to blame for this particular hospital bombing (fools). Here's the director of the charity that runs the hospital, speaking out in the wake of the bombing against the Russian/Assad war crimes:

Quote:

Speaking on the BBC’s Today programme he condemned the lack of political pressure on the Syrian regime or Russia to stop committing alleged humanitarian abuses.

He said: “There is unspeakable humanitarian abuse going on across Syria at the moment and there is very little accountability for people committing these crimes.

“This is now not just a humanitarian catastrophe it has major political implications not just for the Middle East for also for Europe.

Politics comes down to pressure and at the moment there is very little pressure on the Syrians, the Russians or frankly even the Iranians to curb the humanitarian abuse that is contributing to the conflict inside Syria.”

MSM using pro-al Nusra “media center” as source for war-propaganda

updated 19/08/16

Quote:

At some point over the last few days a little boy and his family allegedly sustained minor cuts and bruises when their apartment building was allegedly bombed by pro-Assad forces. The Western media, which has consistently ignored the thousands of those severely injured and killed in Aleppo by “rebel” bombardment, has now found its conscience and gone crazy.

You must have seen this video, because it’s everywhere right now.

https://twitter.com/AleppoAMC/status/766014854155083776

You’ll find it all over the Guardian, NBC, Independent and most other major corporate news outlets, most using the same AP source. The boy is allegedly five-year-old Omran Daqneesh. According to the AP report neither he nor the rest of his family sustained anything but superficial cuts and bruises.

Yet, in a conflict that has already claimed the lives of more than 100,000 people nationwide, the media wants us to believe this story is somehow unique and that the “horror generated” by a video of some people looking quite well but dusty and bloodstained will shock us more than the piles of corpses , “echo the anguished global response” to images of drowned Aylan Kurdi and galvanise us all into “doing something” – ie supporting a NATO intervention to save the terrorists in eastern Aleppo.

If the sight of all the major outlets who cheer on western-backed slaughter every day, running wall-to-wall op-eds and features about the tragedy of a little boy with a cut on his face, simply because it serves the empire’s agenda, doesn’t convince you of the moral and intellectual blank they’ve become then keep reading. It gets better.

AP and other outlets tell us the vid was “filmed and circulated” by a group called the “Aleppo Media Centre.” Who/what are they?

Well, the Graun links to their Twitter, which is in Arabic, and which boasts over 20,000 alleged followers, including several members of the western media, and a plethora of similar short and often murky vids beside this one. We can also quite easily find their Facebook page, where we also find this:

Screen Shot 2016-08-18 at 16.47.25

That’s “al Nusra” as in the US-designated terrorist group. It looks as if the AMC quite approves of them doesn’t it. Even calls them “rebels” not terrorists”, and cheers on the fact they have killed Syrian service men.

We’re also a bit curious about why the AP report claim the video was made Wednesday night, when it was uploaded to Twitter at 13:52 BST Wednesday afternoon, which would equate with 15:52 in Aleppo. Is this a time-zone anomaly? But then there’s the added confusion of the Tweet itself, which seems to say pretty clearly that the vid was made on Sunday evening.

Screen Shot 2016-08-18 at 22.23.14

Sunday? Wednesday afternoon? Wednesday night? It would be good to clear that up. Maybe we can ask the photo-journalist and alleged eye witness, “Mahmoud Raslan”, quoted extensively by AP and almost every media outlet.

It’s this Raslan who sets the scene, provides corroboration, gives the background human interest story of handing survivors “from one balcony to another”, and of passing “three lifeless bodies” before finding our poster boy alive. So he must know for sure when it happened. But so far he seems hard to track down.

Some outlets such as the BBC describe him as a “photo journalist for Al Jazeera Mubasher”. He’s also described by the Indy and others as the “photographer behind [the] iconic image” of the little boy in the orange seat. This is slightly odd because the most widely distributed “iconic image” is just a still from the video, as the Guardian itself admits at the top of the article linked to above, and as this screen grab shows:

Screen Shot 2016-08-18 at 20.07.44

The Guardian even includes an interview with the alleged author of the video in its rolling coverage. The man’s name is claimed to be Mustafa al-Sarout, member of the terrorist-loving AMC.

Presumably Mahmoud Raslan was one of the other photographers there, inaccurately credited with the still from the vid. But who is he? If you search for “Mahmoud Raslan Al Jazeera Mubasher” you get nothing but hits on today’s AP story. No one has yet found any social media page or website for him, and if he was a photo-journalist prior to this event there doesn’t seem to be any record of his work or credits immediately available.

It would be good to track him down if possible wouldn’t it? Because without his confirmation the only source for this entire bizarre non-event currently being used as a catalyst for war is an unverified vid from an anti-government, pro-terrorist “media center”.

UPDATE 19/08/16: We now seem to have an ID for Raslan. We’re not clear if he works for Al_Jazeera, but he apparently is a friend of child-murderers.

Say, how did that work out, for us and for the people of the region?

Once of the amazing things about your boundless ...omg I'm having such a hard time not using the word "stupidity" ... is your apparent complete inability to learn from something that happened not more than a few short years ago, and which we are still suffering from today in terms of the spread of jihadism.

You are the perfect example of someone refusing to learn from history who is doomed to repeat it. Reading your posts is like watching Groundhog Day, but in real life. Except that unlike the Bill Murray character, you never ever seem to figure anything out.

In any case, Syria moved S300 missiles into the region and is equipped to shoot American planes out of the sky.

China steps up 'military cooperation' with Assad as top admiral visits Damascus

Quote:

China is to step up personnel training and humanitarian assistance to President Bashar al Assad’s Syrian government, state media reported on Thursday, in a signal of growing concern in Beijing about the course of Syria’s civil war.

Rear Admiral Guan Youfei, who heads China's office for international military cooperation, met Lt. General Fahd Jassem al-Frejj, the Syrian defence minister, in Damascus earlier this week, the Xinhua news agency said.

The Chinese military is “willing to strengthen cooperation with its Syrian counterparts,” the agency quoted the defence ministry as saying.

“They reached consensus on improving personnel training, and the Chinese military offering humanitarian aid to Syria,” the Xinhua report said of the Damascus meeting.

Xinhua said Adm. Guan also met Lt. General Sergei Chvarkov, the Russian general in charge of the reconciliation centre Russia set up earlier this year to monitor a short-lived ceasefire between the government and rebel groups.

The Russian defence ministry was not immediately available for comment. Russia entered the war in Syria on Assad’s side in September 2015.

The Global Times, a paper published by the ruling Communist Party, said advisors are already on the ground in Syria to train regime forces in the use of Chinese-bought weapons including sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and machine guns.

In Syria, ISIL and assorted jihadists are slowly losing ground.

Daraya, which had been besieged by al Nusra (al Qaida in Syria) has been liberated. Terrorists and their families who do not want to make peace with Assad will be evacuated to Idlib. (It's too bad that the women and children didn't get to decide for themselves but will be transported, like so much baggage, into another potentially besieged city. But that's Wahhabism for you!)

Coalition forces are chipping away at the roughly 15% of eastern Aleppo which is still under jihadist control.

Kurdish forces, under USA control, have taken Manbij.

That's not to say the the situation in Syria isn't complex. Turkey has invaded Syria in an effort to blunt the US-controlled Kurds from taking too much territory. The USA, having to decide WHICH "ally" to throw under the bus- Turkey or the Kurds - has decided to throw the Kurds under the bus. For now.

Progress towards peace is being made. The sticking point is still the USA's insistence that "Assad must go". It's hard to believe that the USA still feel entitled to destabilize governments it doesn't like, having created so many clusterfucks already. Hopefully, the USA will decide to end its proxy war in Syria soon, and allow for peace and redevelopment to begin.

I thought this was an interesting analysis of Turkey's entrance into Syria

Joe Biden Humiliated In Turkish "Appeasement" As Erdogan Bombs US Allies In Syria

Quote:

The last time U.S. Vice President Joe Biden flew to Turkey, in January, he had a stern message for President Erdogan: his model of Islamic democracy was setting a bad example by intimidating media and threatening academics.

However, his tone was markedly different when he arrived in Ankara on Wednesday, just weeks after a failed coup in Turkey that has strained relations between the two countries, and on the same day that Turkey launched a full-blown incursion into northern Syria "to halt ISIS." With Turkey making very clear, and very open overtures toward Russia, Biden was in full blown diplomatic damage-limitation mode.

The dramatic shift in diplomatic posture by Biden comes as the U.S.-Turkish alliance has been dealt several blows in recent weeks, to the point where the US vice president's arrival in Ankara shows just how concerned the US, which is counting on continued support from Turkey - NATO's second-biggest military - has become. American worries have been compounded by Erdogan restoring ties with Russia - the Turkish president's first diplomatic meeting after the failed coup was with Putin in St. Petersburg, as a result of which Turkey has been discussing military cooperation with the Kremlin.

Meeting with Erdogan and Turkey's prime minister in Ankara on Wednesday, Biden delivered a message of alliance and conciliation.

"Let me say it for one last time: The American people stand with you ... Barack Obama was one of the first people you called. But I do apologize. I wish I could have been here earlier," Biden said.

But he wasn't.

And while Biden's pathetic attempt at appeasement may have come and gone, reinforcing just how much the American people stand with a person whose pre-arranged purge of political opponents has resulted in over 100,000 Turkish citizens fired or arrested, Turkey's diplomatic humiliation of the US continued, when far from attacking ISIS in Syria, the stated objective behind the invasion ...

Turkish forces and rebels supported by Erdogan continued their deadly attacks on Kurdish-backed forces in north Syria on Saturday. The same Kurdish-backed forces which are also backed by the US.

And it's not as if Turkey is even hiding it: Turkey's government, which is fighting a Kurdish insurgency at home, has said the Syrian campaign it opened this week is as much about targeting Islamic State as it is about preventing Kurdish forces filling the vacuum left when Islamists withdraw. Turkey wants to stop Kurdish forces gaining control of a continuous stretch of Syrian territory on its frontier, which Ankara fears could be used to support the Kurdish militant group PKK as it wages its three-decade insurgency on Turkish soil.

According to Reuters, Turkish security sources said two F-16 jets bombed a site controlled by the Kurdish YPG militia, which is part of the broader U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) coalition.

Meanwhile, the US-backed Kurds are fighting back, and according to military sources, one Turkish soldier was killed and three others wounded when a tank was hit by a rocket that they said was fired from territory held by the Kurdish YPG. The sources said the army shelled the area in response.

At that point the chaos that is the Syrian conflict, with so many competing elements, many of whom supported by the US, was on full display.

So, who IS the USA supporting in Turkey???

There are so many factions, I've kind of lost track.

Let's see...

There were the arms the CIA was shipping from Libya to Syria via NATO-member Turkey.
There was the ISIL oil which crossed into NATO-memmber Turkey, which provided a nice revenue stream for Balil Erdogan ...
And the ISIL-bound fighters and arms which crossed the NATO-member Turkish border going to Syria.
Since Turkey is a NATO-member, all of this cross-border support of ISIL surely took place under the watchful eye of the USA, and enjoyed either tacit support or active encouragement.

Then, there was the "Free Syrian Army" FSA, that ever-elusive fighting force, that "banner of convenience" under which
Al-Qiada-in-Syria
aka Jabhat al Nusra,
aka Jabhat Fatah al-Sham
aka Army of Conquest
received Pentagon arms and training.

Then there was the Kurdish-backed Syrian Democratic Forces, which enjoy actual Spec-Ops support. And the YPG, which is fully Kurdish. However, people need to know that Syria's northern border with Turkey is NOT fully, or even majority, Kurdish. Most people there are Arabs of one sort or another, so the YPG is unlikely to enjoy widespread native support.

So we supported Turkey, which supported ISIL, and the "FSA" which is indistinguishable from al Qaida, and the "SDF", which is primarily Kurdish, and YPG which is fully Kurdish. But since these groups really don't have a 75% overlap of goals, I guess sooner or later you have to throw SOMEbody under the bus in favor of others.

Quote:

Case in point: Syrian rebels opposed to Ankara's incursion said Turkish forces had targeted forces allied to the YPG and no Kurdish forces were in the area. On the ground, Turkish-backed Syrian rebels fought forces aligned with the SDF near the frontier town of Jarablus. Forces opposed to Ankara said Turkish tanks were deployed, a charge denied by Turkey's rebel allies.

As a result, the narrative is now split in two: one "confirming" the Turkish explanation, the other justifying the actions of the YPG, just in case the US decides to flip after all, and support its "lesser" allies:

The Jarablus Military Council, part of the SDF, had said earlier on Saturday that Turkish planes hit the village of al-Amarna south of Jarablus, causing civilian casualties. It called the action "a dangerous escalation".

The Kurdish-led administration that controls parts of northern Syria said Turkish tanks advanced on al-Amarna and clashed with forces of the Jarablus Military Council. But the Kurdish administration said no Kurdish forces were involved.

However, the leader of one Turkey-backed rebel group gave a rival account. He told Reuters the rebels battled the Kurdish YPG around al-Amarna and denied any Turkish tanks took part.

Turkish security forces simply said Turkish-backed forces had extended their control to five villages beyond Jarablus.

In short, chaos...

There's a reason why Pepe Escobar calls the USA the "Empire of Chaos". I guess that must be because we sow chaos wherever we go!

Quote:

... and a full-blown media propaganda war; however, as Reuters notes, one thing is clear: any action against Kurdish forces in Syria puts Turkey further at odds with its NATO ally the United States, which backs the SDF and YPG, "seeing them as the most reliable and effective ally in the fight against Islamic State in Syria."

However, just like Biden's arrival in Ankara was a tacit admission that the US will fully ignore Erdogan's unprecedented crackdown on human righs in post-coup Turkey as the president purges even the remotest political opponent, so the YPG, which has been "backed" by the US, is about to realize just how little such backing really means when the US has bigger fish to fry, in this case desperately trying to keep Turkey on its good side, and away from Putin's circle of influence, all the while providing countless concessions to Turkey as the country continues to openly defy western norms and put away dissidents, while arresting members of the press, and education system, as Erdogan nationalizes private corporations alleged to have ties with the notorious "coup plotter" Fethulah Gullen.

In doing so, the Obama administration has once again revealed the true extent of its hypocrisy, as it turns a blind eye toward the trampling of human rights in Turkey, while screaming bloody murder when something similar takes place in any other part of the world.

Meanwhile, Turkey's humiliation of its "partner", the US, will continue, and much to the amusement of Vladimir Putin, there is absolutely nothing Obama will do about it.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-08-27/joe-biden-humiliated-turkish-
appeasement-erdogan-bombs-us-backed-forces-syria

Turkey is an unreliable partner, but so is the USA. I don't think Russia will get much benefit out of this as Turkey will resort to playing off three sides (EU, USA, Russia) against each other and to its benefit.

The first stream of civilians and rebel fighters began to leave the city on Friday afternoon, many of them in tears as their years of holding out ended in surrender.

"Daraya will be delivered to the Assad regime. This is how he is rewarded for four years of bombing, dropping chemicals and killing Daraya's children. They killed us and destroyed our city, all because we demanded democracy and freedom,” said Ahmad a 23-year-old man who has not seen his girlfriend or family members since the regime siege began in 2012.

"I do not know what will happen to us, whether I will be killed or allowed to live. For so long Daraya is all I have known, and I am feeling lost and distraught and having to leave."

What Signy calls "liberation" I think most of us would call "starved into submission".

Double-tap airstrike on funeral in rebel-held Aleppo hits mourners, then rescue workers, 25+ killed - https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/airstrike-in-east-aleppo-hits-chi

The funeral was for 13 people killed in an airstrike days earlier:

Quote:

On Friday, a video of two young boys, inconsolable as they mourned the death of family members in a Thursday airstrike on Bab al-Nairab, went viral. The footage captured a private moment of painful grief: Sobbing, the boys clutch each other tightly, surrounded by the hubbub of a hospital ward.

Underscoring the tragedy that has befallen so many families left in Aleppo, it appeared that the boys came from the same families that took to the streets Saturday to mourn their dead, only to be hit by airstrikes.

The fate of the children remains unknown. The flood of photographs from the aftermath of the attack were too graphic to publish. They showed the bodies of men, women and children, some of them blasted in half.

“The regime is telling us that we can’t be sad, we can’t cry for our children who die. They want us to think that if we hold funerals for them, we will risk death, too,” said Abdulkafi al-Hamdo, an English teacher from Aleppo who shared images of the dead with reporters.

The video came a week after footage of another child, 5-year-old Omran Daqneesh, was viewed millions of times around the world, transforming his dusty image into a symbol of Aleppo’s suffering. When the child’s brother died days later, the news received little attention.

The horror of Syria’s war is in the millions of pictures that are too gruesome to circulate—charred limbs stacked outside hospital wards, bloated bodies rotting in sniper alleys, a toddler plucked from the rubble without a head. It is in a group of relatives trying to carry the sixty-pound corpse of a man who died of hunger—the boiled grass he’d been living on could no longer sustain him—but struggling under his weight, because they, too, are starving to death. It is in a generation of orphans, of children who never learned to read but can tell you the difference between the sounds of shelling and those of air strikes. It is in the intentional bombing of hospitals and clinics, the targeted assassinations of medical workers, the forced displacements, the chemical-weapons attacks. It is in a death toll so high, and so impossible to verify, that the U.N. stopped counting two years ago.

All of this has happened before and will happen again: Indonesia's military coup in 1965 ushered in the rule of General Suharto, after a purge during which about half a million people were slaughtered as alleged "communists" by paramilitaries and mobsters.

The Act of Killing, a documentary, found some of the unrepentant killers in present-day Indonesia, now gray-haired grandpas, and persuaded them to act out their most atrocious crimes of torture and mayhem in the styles of their favorite movie genres: gangster flicks, westerns, war movies, musicals. They are only too happy and excited to do it.

Merely re-enacting these violent events is visibly too much for some of the killers playing the victims, who, before our eyes, begin to see what this violence actually meant. Despite or even because of the extravagant absurdity of this pantomime, the reality of what went on begins to dawn on the perpetrators. Others are scornful of any regret: "You feel haunted because your mind is weak. It's just a nerve imbalance."

How do we explain this? I understand (meaning I get why, not condone) a number of ways people justify or rationalize such murder:

1. defending oneself.
2. blood lust - when enough murder causes one to no longer feel its effects on the human psyche enabling continued acts. There has to be an initial trigger.
3. revenge - maybe the most powerful motivator.
4. seeing the victims as inhuman.
5. encouragement by others, more dominant people (following orders).

I get the feeling Assad, and even much of Syria, is on murder autopilot. They are consumed by the power and thrill of killing. No one is really controlling anything else. This is all they know so this is all they do, every day. If they stopped now it would only make them look more guilty for their previous acts.

Interesting question. For me Assad's acts of evil come from a variety of places including:

1) Weakness and fear - Assad is part of a tiny minority, the Alawites, who are just 12% of the population but have ruled a Sunni-majority country for decades. This is a precarious position, especially when you consider...

2) His family's history of brutal suppression of the Sunnis - Historically the Assads have been very brutal in suppression of any kind of uprising (see Assad's father). Bashar saw what his father had done to successfully quell an uprising, and naturally tried the same. And when it didn't work... well, there's no way back once you've started down the path of war crimes against your own people. You either double down on the violence to try to quash the uprising, flee the country in disgrace (a la Yanukovich in Ukraine), or you get deposed and face the people's idea of justice.

Russia's motives in this holocaust of Sunnis are less clear, and in some ways much more important (since Russia is, after all, the regime's chief enabler). Since the war in Ukraine I have thought of Putin as someone who is running his country but in his own mind simply playing a very tactical game. All he cares about is solidifying his hold on power, benefiting his circle of oligarch cronies, and the glory of Russian imperialism. When he starts a war (and then prosecutes it for months/years on end) this is all he thinks about - not the thousands of people who are getting killed or having their lives ruined. It's all a game to Putin, and he wants to win.

Official: U.S. thinks Russian plane hit Syrian aid convoy

A U.S. official tells CBS News “preliminary indications” are that it was a Russian aircraft that struck an aid convoy attempting to deliver humanitarian supplies to a rebel-held area, killing some 20 civilians.

The U.N. humanitarian aid agency said it has temporarily suspended all convoys in Syria following the attack on the convoy, plunging the already grim five-year-old Syrian war deeper into uncertainty.

First, an article in a similar vein (the title explains it all) by Alexander Mercouris on TheDuran: Making up the news: How the Western media misreported the Syrian convoy attack. I'm not familiar with TheDuran but the article is informative and well-written like the ones produced here by b.

Second, the blessing/curse of being ex-military is sounding like a nut to most of you when I bring up these minute details that I think are terribly significant. Given that, take this for what it's worth:

There are several variations of the Hellfire missile fired from U.S. drones like the Predator. As evidenced by vidoes of Hellfire strikes beginning with the Iraqi war, one very popular flavor seems to be the AGM-114N variant. It contains a pretty energetic PBX-112 explosive charge surrounded by a layer of metal particles. Fine-mesh fluorinated aluminum in case you were curious. Without getting into the physics of it all, I'll just say that this design came out of research to produce a 'better' fuel-air explosive.

The Metal-Augmented Charge (MAC) Hellfire AGM-114N belongs to the thermobaric category of weapons - ones designed to kill/destroy by an extended blast overpressure wave rather than conventional explosive's overpressure spike. A secondary effect of a MAC/thermobaric weapon's hotter, longer-duration blast wave is that it's more likely to set things on fire than a conventional explosive. Not as much as a incendiary-purpose weapon, but more so than conventional explosives.

Isn't killing people efficiently by more clever designs fascinating? It is to Lockheed-Martin shareholders, but I digress. At any rate, plenty of info out there on the AGM-114N and theromobarics if you're interested.

Now, the MAC-enhanced blast of the U.S. Hellfire missiles produces an interesting visual effect at night. After the decay of an intensely-bright and well-consolidated blast flash, you can see what look like little sparkles at the edge of the receding explosion. The sparkles are residue of the burnt fluorinated aluminum that undergo a secondary burning, of sorts. It's very distinctive once you notice it. The Russians have thermobaric bombs as well, but they are of a different design and the blast usually looks different - non-existent sparkles because of a micronized metal powder, or long-duration sparkles on very large charges for whatever reason.

So (sorry, TL:DR already) I notice that many of the MSM-replays of the supposed rebel convoy attack video was edited in a particular way to mask what is plainly (to me) a MAC blast. The BBC reports are a good example. Their version is enlarged, shaky and blurry consistent with the poor head-chopper production standards. But it is an edited version of the much clearer original video. ABC must have produced their report before the censorship memo went out. If you look at only the first second of this ABC video and try to pause it during the blast, you can see a few frames with the visual effect I'm talking about.

So what am I yammering about that has any relevance here? This: If this video was shown to me outside the context of the convoy attack, I would guess it was a Hellfire strike somewhere. Now we hear from Russia that a Predator drone (typically Hellfire-armed) was loitering around the 'bombed convoy' area immediately before and after the attack. An attack that produced no crater (typical of the air-blast of a thermobaric Hellfire) and numerous fires (also more likely from a thermobaric Hellfire). Then I see the curiously-edited video on most MSM seemingly intended to obscure the signature blast of a thermobaric Hellfire. [adjusts tin-foil hat] I think you know where I'm going here.

Just to set the stage for the next chapter of lies, CENTCOM or the U.S. DoD will undoubtedly deny that a U.S. drone attacked the convoy (not that any journalist will bother asking). AS we saw in the SAA/Deir EzZor attack though, it's not necessarily a U.S. aircraft. The U.S. can deny responsibility if needed because 1) any of a number of 'coalition partners' have Hellfire-armed Predators violating Syrian airspace every day, and 2) all Predators of coalition partners are not necessarily under the command of their military or the CJTF-OIR coalition. The CIA, for instance, has plenty of armed drones in the Middle East. Not that these potential loopholes will be needed or used - the U.S. isn't bashful about flinging outright lies when convenient and difficult to disprove.

This isn't offered as any kind of proof the U.S. did it - it's just reasonable speculation. I'm sure our inquisitive and unbiased investigative journalists in the press will get to the bottom of this in no time.

Score +1 for me for predicting Siggy would come parroting Russian propaganda about the aid convoy attack. Score -1 for predicting she would blame it on the starving rebels when she's ended up going down the "USA false flag attack" route.

WHO REJECTS AID AND ESCAPE ROUTES?

Western media editorialize about the Syrian government "besieging" cities, but the reality is that the Assad government has offered aid and evacuation routes which have been rejected by "local councils" (i.e. local governance groups which - judging by the black ISIL flags in the background- have probably been infiltrated by al Nusra, ISIL, or other terrorist groups)

But you don't have to take my word for it. In September
Quote:

Brita Hagi Hassan, head of the local council told Reuters he had received an aid plan but that it did not contain any details about how the operation would be carried out. He said, “The presence of the Russian side on the Castello Road [for aid delivery is not acceptable due to its lack of neutrality.”

He added that the party supervising the road must not open the shipments [for inspection], which should include fuel, medicine and flour.

It is expected that Aleppo — which is divided between areas under opposition control in the eastern part and the regime in the western part — will receive aid within the framework of the recently brokered Russian-American deal.

ts_Presence_Russian_Forces_Castello_Road

This isn't the first time that "rebels" have rejected UN-monitored aid. In August
Quote:

The United Nations is calling for a 48-hour ceasefire to allow food and medicine to enter the embattled city of Aleppo, but a row over which route the aid convoys are to use has brought the plan to a halt.

The UN wants to use Castello Road, the road north of Aleppo that after weeks of bombing the regime captured last month to complete its encirclement of east Aleppo.

“If Castello Road becomes an aid corridor, the regime will make it impossible for us, as the opposition, to take it back,” Muhammad Fadila, the head of the Provincial Council of Aleppo, tells Syria Direct’s Bahira al-Zarier.

http://syriadirect.org/news/which-road-to-aleppo-opposition-refuses-ai
d-delivery-via-castello-road
/

So apparently the Aleppo local councils would rather starve their own population than allow UN-coordinated aid to their part of the city, and cry crocodile tears about it

Previous to that, in July ...
Quote:

“The regime taking control of Castello is a disaster for the people terrorists and their hostages in Aleppo,” Ammar al-Halabi, an embedded reporter with rebel brigades witnessing the battle for the access road, told Syria Direct on Wednesday. “There’s no longer anywhere to move the wounded outside of Aleppo or to bring anything to the city.”
Especially if you reject using the road if its controlled by the Syrian govt.
Quote:

On Thursday, the Syrian regime launched a campaign dropping leaflets into east Aleppo, claiming safe passage out of the 62 encircled districts, a move that local residents armed groups called an attempt to “pull the wool over the eyes of the international community.”

Helicopters dropped pamphlets over east Aleppo city—one day after at least seven airstrikes—advertising four “safe passages” for any east Aleppo resident looking to leave. Three lead in the direction of the regime-controlled portion of the provincial capital and one towards the regime-held southern countryside. Several sources on the ground told Syria Direct that not one of the four proposed passages is in fact open.

... “We’ll never leave our city [or allow anyone else to leave? -SIGNY] no matter the dozens of airstrikes nor the continuous bombings that we face,” Murad al-Halabi, an Aleppo resident in the Saladin district, told Syria Direct’s partner website The Syrian Voice.

And it's not just Aleppo. In Darayya

Quote:

After its [Syrian govt army] victory in Darayya’s southwest farms, regime authorities offered rebels safe passage to another rebel-held Damascus area if they surrendered, al-Masdar news reported the following day.
“We refused the offer,” said a-Deirani, without elaborating further.

els-%E2%80%98abandoned%E2%80%99-as-regime-advances
/
BTW- if you read the above article you will see that the situation is not that the Syrian government is fighting helpless frightened civilians, but there is an actual armed conflict going on. BOTH sides, if you look at various videos, have tanks (where did "the rebels" get tanks from?) as well as shoulder-fired missiles, heavy artillery etc.

As far as "who did what" to the convoy, Ban Ki Moon went off on a tirade, but after he and other high-level UN officials heard what the Russian envoy had to say, the UN - and NATO- climbed down pretty fast on their accusations.

Meanwhile, very little got into western press about the sustained WESTERN attack on Syrian troops, which happened before the convoy was struck by whomever. THAT is what broke the cease-fire. According to Russia, this is what happened:

Quote:

The impossible to ignore context here naturally is the ceasefire ending US joint attack alongside ISIS upon the Syrian Arab Army position at Deir ez-Zor which was sustained and lasted over an hour, despite calls from the Russian coordinating hotline which existed pursuant to standing agreements on deconfliction.
(Since since was a UN speech by Lavrov, you can find that quote anywhere.)
Further information was that the Syrian troops were stationary, not advancing, simply holding territory, and that the western attack on the Syrian army position was sustained through two direct calls to the American air command, and that the attack did not end until ISIL troops started advancing on the bombed position.

In addition, if you were to read a full report about what happened in Aleppo, you would know that the attack on the convoy immediately preceded an apparently planned terrorist attack on Syrian government positions.

Now, I don't want to bombard you with too much information, so this is where I'll stop.

Aleppo Airstrikes: UN Says Two Million People Now Without Water

"Depriving children of water puts them at risk of catastrophic outbreaks of waterborne diseases and adds to the suffering, fear and horror that children in Aleppo live through every day."

This must be what SIG thinks are parents talking their kids to school along Assad's safe passage routes.

You are a troll and piece of shit SIG.
