With Obamacare announcing all ebola patients should come to America for free health care, the Liberian guy hopped on the plane after getting Ebola from the dead lady giving birth, knowingly spreading it to airline passengers and random folks around America.

The invitation for all Ebola carriers to come to America unfettered seems shallow - will they really stay alive long enough to vote for Bobo's democrap cronies?

Letting in 100,000 disease-riddled Central American illiterate peasants wasn't good enough to satisfy Obumma's unquenchable thirst to destroy America, but an ebola epidemic spreading across America might just do the trick.

To quote our fearless former Homeland Security dude, Janet Napolitano ...

" The system worked "

That's basically what I heard some " official " from the CDC say after a reporter asked how can Americans be confident in what we're being told when the Dallas Texas patient essentially shot right through every planned protocol and security measure set up specifically to keep infected folks from even getting to the country in the first place.

Ignoring the fact that this patient was already here in the US, and potentially has infected others, the official flatly stated how superior OUR system is set up, because we have the most qualified, the best trained, the most expensive blah blah blah.

Lady ! We've still got Ebola IN OUR COUNTRY ! After all that praise you heaped on yourself by claiming we're all that, it turns out, we ain't !!

Now what ?

There are no free lunches. SOMEONE has to pay, eventually.

Why would medical care be 'free' in the first place ? You want free car care too ? What about free housing, free food, free movie passes, free season tickets to all your favorite sporting events...

Did you know that in the REAL WORLD, illegal aliens aren't eligible for Obamacare? That you have to prove your legal residence with a visa, green card, birth certificate etc? So the point that people (Ebola victims and illegal aliens) are coming here for "free health care" is completely bogus.

I suspect RapKnight would agree that having the world's best health care system does not stop corrupt libtards like President Unhealth Care from destroying it or destabilizing it, and swapping expensive MEDICAL costs for Bobo's expensive ADMINISTRATIVE costs does not support improved Medical care.

Earth to Siggy.
Listen to the NEWS.
Pay attention.
That Ebola case in America? Hello, Dallas is in America!!
Guy came from Liberia, got Ebola in Liberia, wanted to escape Liberian medical care, so intentionally traveled to America while infected with Ebola for our medical care.

And you are saying that "undocumented Mexican immigrants" are not recieving health care?

You must be getting your talking points directly from Bobo - "We have stopped Ebola from getting into America because it is already here, and also we flew in other Ebola cases at government expense."

You would have to have a total international ban on all flights from Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. Even then, people would try to work around the ban by driving across a border to an airport in a neighboring nation... say, Nigeria.

Thomas Eric Duncan & his wife Louise Troh traveled back from Liberia
together, i.e., they don't live there. I gather they are native to the US,
possibly Texas.

I'm told via grapevine, FWIW, that when Duncan 1st went to the hospital &
was turned away, he told the person who examined him that he'd just come
back from Liberia. This person made a note of it, but did not report it to
superiors. End o' Grapes.
Did he also mention that he'd been exposed to ebola? I dunno.

There are conflicting reports about what happened. Originally the hospital said the computerized systems that the doctors input and the nurses input had conflicting information - that the nursing records indicated an Ebola risk but the doctors' didn't, and that the two systems didn't talk to each other. It later changed its statements and indicated that indeed both systems had the proper information, it just didn't get acted on for an unknown reason. Some reports indicate Duncan said he had no contact with sick people.

However, I wouldn't put too much faith in any of these reports.

It should be noted that this Ebola case is in Texas. Texas has steadfastly refused Medicaid expansion and sued the federal government in efforts to deny health insurance to Texans.

This guy was sent home from a public hospital because he didn't have insurance. Rick Perry is the governor of Texas. This is his Benghazi. How many will die because he was too busy attending out-of-state fundraisers?

Exactly. There are no direct flights from Sierra Leone to the U.S.

Texas Ebola dude did not fly to the United States directly from Africa; he came through Brussels or the Netherlands first, if memory serves.

The only way you're going to stop flights from Africa is to stop having flights from Africa to anywhere else on the planet.

Do you have enough tax revenue to pay for that large of a no-fly zone, raptard?

Oh, you'll also need to blockade all the ports and harbors to keep ships from leaving the country, too.

And the roads, of course.

Good luck with that.

But while you fascist right-wing nutsacks are freaking out about the one guy with Ebola, just completely ignore the tens of thousands killed with guns every year in the U.S., because those are the cost of freedom.

Now go back to hiding under your bed, raptard, you simpering piece of shit.

So maybe we can detail the current spread of Ebola that Obamination has started. Suspected cases can be listed, and then if they are confirmed, that added.

So far, Doc who went to where? Texas? Confirmed.
Then Nurse who went where? Confirmed.
Then Liberian guy Duncan in Dallas, Texas. Confirmed. Died 8 Oct.
One in Utah. Tested negative.
One in Hawaii. Tested negative.
Case with reported symptoms in Rhode Island.
Same in Delaware.

Are there more?

I thought the one in Dallas was the only confirmed case in the US which wasn't an aid worker brought back specifically for treatment.

Heard lots of negative cases, like one here in a Cobb County jail. Flu like symptoms, recently traveled to Africa... it was just the flu. No Ebola.

Spain and Brazil confirmed, possibly the UK and France.

The fact that you would try to shoehorn a virus-borne potential global epidemic into a topic as narrow as Obamacare is absurd. The virus spreads in any nation which has (1) an underclass without access to regular medical care and (2) a non-vigilant communicable disease program.

I'm not sticking w/ anything, honey.

The system did NOT work. 1 Ebola traveler from Africa is already dead.

But Barry sees no reason to scale back any travel to and from infected W. Africa.

Democrats Join Call To Ban Travelers From West Africa

WASHINGTON -- Three Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives have joined Republicans in calling on President Barack Obama to restrict travel by people from Ebola-stricken West Africa.

"The United States needs to institute travel restrictions, enhanced airport screening and possible quarantine of individuals who have traveled to, or from, the West African countries that have been most impacted by this tragic Ebola epidemic," says the Wednesday letter.

Reps. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.), Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Dave Loebsack (D-Iowa) joined two dozen Republicans in signing the letter. Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) is one of the only other Democrats who has called for a travel ban, most loudly advocated so far by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R). (Grayson first called for a ban in July.) As The Hill reported, a new poll shows that a majority of Americans support the idea.

Not a prediction. An explanation of the difficulties of doing something effective.

BTW, here's Obama's statement, which is very different from the one you CLAIM he said. I trust your English is sufficiently developed so that I don't need to explain what it means in simple terms:

First and foremost, I want the American people to know that our experts, here at the CDC and across our government, agree that the chances of an Ebola outbreak here in the United States are extremely low. We’ve been taking the necessary precautions, including working with countries in West Africa to increase screening at airports so that someone with the virus doesn’t get on a plane for the United States. In the unlikely event that someone with Ebola does reach our shores, we’ve taken new measures so that we’re prepared here at home. We’re working to help flight crews identify people who are sick, and more labs across our country now have the capacity to quickly test for the virus. We’re working with hospitals to make sure that they are prepared, and to ensure that our doctors, our nurses and our medical staff are trained, are ready, and are able to deal with a possible case safely.

When it comes to screening - I'd be really curious how many Ebola-positive people it'll pick up. Remember, Eric Duncan arrived on September 20 a healthy man, and didn't go to emergency until September 23. I predict (and this is a prediction) the screening will detect zero Ebola patients. It's being done for political reasons, to placate idiots.

SAGAN: We are releasing vast quantities of carbon dioxide, increasing the greenhouse effect. It may not take much to destabilize the Earth's climate, to convert this heaven, our only home in the cosmos, into a kind of hell.

Of course, it probably doesn't help any that Alan Grayson is bonafide nuts, but still, he's a Democrat.

Has anyone put forth any mechanism by which this travel ban would be enforced?

How do you propose to restrict people coming in from places that already don't have direct flights into this country?

How intrusive do you want to get? How far into the background checks do you want to go? How long would each background check take, and how long are you willing to wait to board a plane while that check is being done?

As usual, you propose more regulation, more authoritarian measures, and more security theatre, all of which you've already been shown won't work.

Maybe you should just propose building a wall around Africa.

Yes, AURaptor. Not ' SF ' anything.

And how would you know if I work or not ? And why would you care ?

Per the Ebola issue, the Dallas hospital sent Duncan home , even though he had a 103 degree temperature and he TOLD THEM he had just traveled to Africa.

" The system worked "

Like hell it did.

This is a privately-run hospital, isn't it? In a state that's rejected Obamacare and Medicaid expansion and is steadfastly against any kind of regulation on healthcare (unless it's a women's clinic, of course).

What you're really saying is that the American healthcare system failed. Again.

It tends to do that. Especially when it comes to those who don't have insurance, and even more especially if they happen to be of a darker skin color.

You check passports on the way in. It shows your country of origin, and all of the places you traveled thru with a visa stamp most recently. Right?

The same method that makes it completely impossible for any American to ever go to Cuba, right?

How do you plan to keep people from the affected areas from traveling to other parts of the world? What if other nations don't agree with our boycott, or adhere to it?

It's how you get to Cuba, isn't it? Get a "disposable" passport from a third-party nation like Mexico. Happens all the time.

But but but you must rememberfy that these screenings are being performed by highly trained medical specialists - AKA Stewardesses. And nurses who treated Duncan and now have Ebola are not going to count because....well, just because. Everybody is safe, no need to worry, I'll be teeing off at a course where Ebola is not allowed.
