Yep, them damn Jews should not be allowed to defend themselves, dammit. We should make sure that all RED CROSS sites are used as terrorist missile launching sites, and we use RED CROSS to shield all terrorist activity as long as they are trying to kill Jews, and we need to move the children to encircle the terrorist tanks so we can blame the Jews for the RED CROSS moving the children into the terrorist theater of battle.
Great plan, chief.

Meanwhile, back in Gaza...

the Israelis are shooting at the prisoners of their largest open-air prison, and killing hundreds of civilians. Just like in the Ukraine, Libya, and Syria, the USA is willing to smile benevolently over mass killing, as long as only the "right" people are killed. It might have something to do with all of the NATURAL GAS underneath the Gaza, and offshsore!

Too bad for the Israelis they made the mistake of shelling a UN school.

OOPS! They sure stepped in it!

But, not to worry. The USA will make it all smooth and the Israelis will be able to continue their ethnic cleansing... oh, did I say that? I meant "ensure their future".... to its logical conclusion.

Why did Israel give up that patch of land [Gaza]in the first place?

Simple. Because at the time they didn't know the gas was there.

Oh, BTW- everybody knows that the only reason for Israel to hold onto the Golan Heights is for its water. In the future, I hope you'll have that little bit of info tucked in your back pocket.

The whole area up and down the coast line has gas / oil reserves. You'd have us believe that Israel, having NO idea of this before handing over Gaza , knows it now, and is manufacturing this incursion to retake the patch of land, which is literally surrounded by such deposits ?

Ok! If you say so !

Well, by this point there may be confusion. I had thought it was clear, but for the sake of greater clarity, I need to state I was being sarcastic in my first post, the second post of this thread. I didn't really think anybody would condone such thought or actions, but it would appear from Siggy's posts that no sarcasm is/was intended from those posts, and the poster's opinions are diametrically opposite of mine.

What??
Seriously???
Do you never listen to the NEWS? "Hamasians firing their rockets from the second story of the UN school" certainly sounds like an implication of "put rockets into" since that would have needed to precede the firing. Have you never paid any attention to the situation?
Do your delusions include "Islamic terrorists never store, deploy, or launch their missiles from a Mosque (or fire their tanks from the protection of the Mosque"?
Do your delusions include "Muslim terrorists never store, deploy, or launch their missile or rockets from the roof or surroundings of hospitals"?
Do your delusions include "Muslim terrorists never store, deploy, or launch their weapons from schools"?
Do your delusions include "the UN would never, ever, honest Injun, ever help, assist militarily, campaign for, shelter weapons for, or side with Muslim terrorists as long as they are working towards killing those dastardly Jews - that there is no pretension that UN is unbiased, neutral, or treats Jews fairly whenever the Muslim base opposes"?

I'm sorry for sounding so disbelieving - I am having difficulty acknowledging that you could really be that dense.
Are you really?
Seriously???

Israel completely withdrew from Gaza in 2005. They left everything intact; all the infrastructure they had built, including hospitals, schools, water treatment plants, public housing, greenhouses etc. And in the 9 years following the Israeli withdrawal Gaza has put Hamas terrorists in charge of their lives. Billions of dollars have come in to Gaza from America and others, and what has Hamas done with those billions? They built hundreds of attack tunnels into Israel, and bought every weapon they could get their hands on. The people got nothing from the aid, while the Hamas leaders live in luxury hotels in Qatar.

Only THEN do they allow their brains to fill will all manner of imagined and fabricated thoughts of evils.

Proggies live a life with blinders on, and tunnel vision which only permits them to view the world as they wish it were, nay, as it NEEDS to be, for them to hold their lofty perch , and cast down judgement upon the unenlightened and ignorant rabble.

You must be joking, right?
You've never heard of horizontal drilling?
Maybe you believe that the oil beneath ANWAR is not being tapped because America outlawed it? And all those Russian oil rigs in international waters are NOT really horizontal drilling underneath us?
It is hard to believe you are serious.
Israel could obtain all of those underground resources from right where they sit - and they have the wealth and technological ability to do as they wish. The only reason it has not been tapped by the current occupiers is that they spend every last resource they have on killing Jews instead of maybe perhaps becoming prosperous, industrious, enterprising.

And when did Israel fully pull out of Gaza ?

2005 ?

Knowing full well, according to Siggy, that that area, and that area alone, held riches beyond all imagination ?

So, 9 years later, it forced Hamas to fire more rockets at it, as it had been doing nearly since day 1, and only then decided to engage in military action to retake what it had already controlled.

Brilliant!

I made another error. Although I was responding to Siggy's post and did correctly conjure that some readers might think the topic was getting muddied enough that my earliest post could be misconstrued, I did mistakenly think that Siggy was the OP - which was not the case. Siggy was not responding to me directly, but the overall tone of the thread was such that I wanted to make it clear about my position. Upon review, I cannot determine whether the OP was intended to be protagonistic or antagonistic.

I wish this could be settled by an arbitrator. It is not going to happen from within. Someday if we ever get to a point where the UN actually does arbitrate the world’s problems we will be much better off. It would mean the rule of law rules. I’m not sure the planet will ever see that. I know I won't.

Are the Borellian Nomen an offshoot of our very own terrestrial Talibanic crap? They do many things to live, even die...

I loved the Nomen. Their very name struck fear in men. Their weapons were very cool. I think their violence was limited to other Borellian clans, or to anyone, like Capt. Dimitri, who screwed with them.

I'm sure you've seen the Lance LeGault (Maga) interview about the Nomen on the dvd set. His dedication to that role, suffering through hours of make-up and hours of intense on-set discomfort, makes him one of my sci-fi heroes.

App Brings Israel’s Air Raid Warnings to Your iPhone

Hear the rocket attack air raid warnings real-time, as they go off in Israel, on your iPhone. Live as an Israeli citizen for a day, using the Red Alert : Israel app. After 24 hours, you’ll never be the same.

In the past day, more than 30 sirens have gone off, each a rocket attack launched by Hamas from the Gaza Strip. The rockets land indiscriminately throughout Israel, a nation one-tenth the size of Oklahoma.

Israel citizens scramble to shelters, like in the video below, each time this occurs, day or night. The nation has built an extensive system of shelters as part of it’s national defense.

If you can take it for more than 24 hours, you’ll understand why Israel has called up 40,000 reserve troops, and is launching air strikes into Gaza to locate the source of the attacks.

Just as likely, after a few hours you’ll find yourself traumatized each time it goes off, after having sat in fear of the next time.

I say dump tons of fetish porn photocards on them to busy the dudes with masturbation so the women can in the meantime find weapons & kill them, then we can help them establish a new order of female dominance in the region & bring peace.

DL'd the app to my phone. Tinkered with the settings a bit. So far today I've heard almost a dozen sirens go off in the past couple of hours - one just went off as I'm typing this post. That's a rocket / mortar attack for each alert. It's a Wednesday afternoon over there in Israel.

Makes one think.
