But the Obama dummy ( redundant ) reminds me of a lesser known Farside cartoon, where the family dog has tied up the new cat, sending a 'message' to his humans that he's none too pleased w/ the new addition to the family.

I think ALL politicians should be hung or torched in effigy on a regular basis, if only to remind them of what the potential CONSEQUENCES of fucking it all up could be.

Just don't automatically assume every white person in Missouri or even that county or town or even city block or household feels the same way.

As much as my late uncle wasn't fond of non-whites, I heard the story of how my mom wanted to go to some school assembly in "black face" to prove a point against racist hate, but her parents forbade her for doing it after one of my aunts tattled on her (This would have been no later than the late 60's). All white school, but close enough to Chicago for my grandparents to worry about the potential fallout the family could suffer for what one naive but good intentioned kid was planning on doing. (Remember, this was not long after the racial riots that were captured on the daily news, well... daily).

I grew up for a time in Oak Forest, Illinois during the mid-90's... A much quieter and passive aggressive time of racial animosity. Go ahead and look up what was gratified on the brick walls of a church that Reverend Farrakhan had a part in making happen within city limits back in the mid 90's.

I didn't do it. I would be highly offended if somebody I knew would ever think me capable of such an act. Then or now.

Whoever did this shouldn't be looked at as a symbol of "red-neck racists"...

They need to be caught in nets by men in white uniforms and brought to a padded cell deep within the basement cells of the funny farm.

Let's call a spade a spade....... Truly, no pun intended......

I don't want to be judged simply from the space I call my "castle" because of all the other assholes on my block/my friends/my family/etc......
