LONE ASSASSIN LEE HARVEY OSWALD : supported by

... Warren Commission
... Presidential Commission
...'Killing Kennedy' best-selling book (by Bill O'Reilly)

or

A CONSPIRACY INVOLVING MANY PEOPLE : supported by

... 'A Heritage Of Stone' best-selling book (by Jim Garrison)
... 'Executive Action' movie
... 'JFK' movie

I have never believed that Oswald did it all by himself. I tend to believe the 'Executive Action' version of who the conspirators and assassins were, but the 'JFK' batch of conspirators is compelling as well.

Well if you've the interest, I'd go lookin at E Howard Hunts confession of events to his sons while he was dying, at that point he had no reason to lie about it, and that evidence fits the pattern of events much better than the bullshit story sold to the public afterwords.

As for what incited it, that much is pretty damned obvious, spiking Northwoods and trying to fire Lemnitzer *really* pissed off the Intel-Military-Industrial combine which had been totally jonesing for a war or regime change in Cuba.

Johnsons mistress also had a few things to say which corroborated a lot of Hunts spillage to his sons, despite neither one of them by themselves being wholly credible.

Of course, if you had em alive to ask, the ones you'd really want to grill would be Cord Meyer, who was every bit a bastard, or barring that William Colby, but both are rather dead now, the latter in a ridiculously blatant "boating accident".

Surprising lack of interest for this. The anniversary is 3 weeks away, and it's going to be all over the news. For me it's been a bit of an obssession since it happened when I was ten years old. My family went to Arlington National Cemetery in April, 1964 to see his grave and the eternal flame. The trend in America now has shifted back to the 'Oswald acted alone' storyline, however, I have too many questions and problems with that to ever believe it.

So, are we suppose to get some records opened, after 50 years or something ?

Yes. I seem to recall that we were told way back then that those "records" would be unsealded at some point in time. Those of us from that era expected that some day, perhaps 50 years later, we'd be told the truth. Or when everyone who was in the Govt. then would be dead, we'd be told the truth. We actually know more about Lincoln's assassination than Kennedy's. I suppose that's the way it is, and to think anything different is very naive.

I remember, growing up, the " 50 years later " stuff, but at the time, I felt that was sooo long in the future, it'll only be of some mild curiosity to the nation by then.

Funny how one's perception of time changes as one lives through it.

Where folks in the 60's, 70's and 80's may have naively thought... " Yeah, come 2013, we'll FINALLY get the OFFICIAL version, with all the details ", it's become clear to me that no such Earth shattering revelations will ever come to light.

First of all, I think we know it was Oswald.

Second, if it WASN'T, there's no way the govt will EVER come clean and tell the people the "real" story. Not this crowd in D.C.

Riiight, because America could never have had a political coup d'etat. That would make us a banana republic. Our leaders must only get shot by crazed individuals acting alone.

This:

I recall when I saw it on TV that day, my 1st impression was,
always stayed with me, the cops made room. They let Ruby
shoot Oswald.

Four & 1/2 years later, Robert Kennedy was killed. It never
occurred to me that it was a coincidence or fate.

Up to then, I still had hopes that the USA was a democracy.

I've not studied these events much. See Frem's post for clues.

Even when it's just a matter of mere mistake or incompetence, it's generally a solid startpoint to consider the "Official Story" complete bullshit, cause in every case it prettymuch has been.

Take Kent State for example, and this well-sourced and quite damning bit from Project Censored.
http://www.projectcensored.org/kent-state-was-it-about-civil-rights-or
-%E2%80%A8murdering-student-protesters
/

Some pretty salient points on this.

The Strubbe tape, on testimory from two credible and fully credentialed forensic audio experts, clearly indicates an order to fire was given.

But the real rumdinger on that tape was four .38 Special shots being fired over a full minute prior to that order to fire being given.

That .38 Special revolver was at the time in the hands of Agent Provocateur Terry Norman, who then raced across the campus in a dead sprint straight towards the local police and hands the weapon off to patrolman Harold Rice.
There's ZERO doubt on this as there is a plethora of both still photographic and video evidence of this available, more than could ever be possibly cleaned up.

Nor it is credible that anyone but the so-called authorities set fire to the ROTC building since those photos and videos show them all crowded around the place just prior to it going up - are we to believe then that Kent State offered a major in Ninjustu or what ?

The guy who did most of the shovel and grunt work on this is a dude by the name of John Mangels, formerly of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, so we're not talking halfassed investigation there, but one with the full resources of a fairly solid newspaper behind it.
http://www.cleveland.com/science/index.ssf/2010/12/kent_state_shooting
s_does_form.html

http://www.cleveland.com/science/index.ssf/2012/04/justice_department_
wont_re-ope.html

Or how about the bullshit story regarding the Oklahoma Federal Building, conveniently dancing around the plain fact that at least one explosive device of some kind went off inside the building, and three more failed to detonate and were removed - which IF they had gone off, would have taken down the building, to be neatly blamed on McVeigh and a truck full of low order explosive at a range which would ACTUALLY do no more than sweep the balconies off - public records contain the state police and first responder logs discussing the finding and disposal of these devices.

Orrr, how about the bullshit story of WTC 1993, in which the FBI *gave* Ramzi Youssef a fucking live bomb and an expert to set it up for him, planning to sell their own infiltrator, one Emad Salem, down the river, only he was smart enough to get suspicious and tape the discussions with his handler when they told him not to sabotage the bomb so it wouldn't go off.

So really, you're going to take the word of the same assholes who sold all these previous now-proven-false bullshit stories, when often as not there's solid evidence they themselves were involved up to the goddamn eyeballs, as given fact ?
Seriously ?

I mean hell, didn't the fairly recent round and round of feds planting an agent to wind up a pack of losers over and over again NOT clue you in that most of the danger to us is from our own so-called-protectors, and what their general tactics are ?

And the escalation of it all *STARTED* in Dealy Plaza that day, cause having realized what monstrous dicks these people were, Kennedy started plotting against them, and trying to fire Lemnitzer in rage after being presented with NORTHWOODS (and after being told MONGOOSE would be a walkover), this pissed them off pretty bad, starting with that fuck McNamara, who no doubt then went running to Cord Meyer and his little band of creepers - the exact details of it all might not be immediately available, but the general notion ?
Certainly that.

And as to whether this is any kind of important or not, between the all but open secret that our so-called-protectors would assassinate a president who didn't play along, in combination with main core and the amount of domestic spying (which means the ability to blackmail congress at whim) now actually being know - it *IS* important, cause it brings into question who runs this country.... the voters and their representatives, or the black bag boys, as a giant fucking protection racket.

You wanna fight terrorism, you start in Langley, in Quantico, and Ft Meade.

In the three years after the murders of JFK and Lee Harvey Oswald eighteen material witnesses died ... 6 by gunfire, 3 by car accidents, 2 by suicide, 1 by a cut throat, 1 by a karate chop to the neck, 3 by heart attacks, 2 from natural causes. An actuary engaged by the London Times concluded: On November 22, 1963, the odds of all these witnesses being dead by Feb. 1967 were one hundred thousand trillion to one.

Aye, the Ron Brown crash had so many anomolies it's hard to take it for anything else - especially of note is that there was a survivor of the crash who despite surviving the crash, and being there for some time, mysteriously died of a surgically precise cut to the femoral artery...
If that injury had actually been inflicted by the crash she'd have bled out long before help got there.

One of my interests is following up aircraft incidents and accidents, and they failed pretty bad to cover their tracks on that one.

Understanding of course, that ANYONE as powerful as a President is going to have a large circle of friends, supporters, allies and the like, many of which will get caught up in the wake of ascension, through the years. I'm not saying I buy into any of these killings as being suspicious ( though Vince Foster's demise was intriguing ), but you asked.

Ayep, it's really hard to call "suicide" when the stiff has two gunshot wounds to different areas of the head, in different calibers, like Vince Foster or Gary Webb.

There's also the ubiquitous "Small Plane Crash" - I am still seething over the one which oh-so-conveniently eliminated Siobhan Reynolds AND her attorney, grrr.

Mind you, even as late as the early 80's some alphabet soup agencies still had a more or less mutually agreed policy of "suiciding" members/former members who might "talk" in their dotage, which surprisingly a lot of them were actually "on board" with, to the very end - you can kind of imagine that conversation.

Rick: "I'm terribly sorry bob, but you're getting up there and the bosses worry, you know ?"
Bob: "So, it's time is it... I'll write the note, then, take care of the family will you ?"
Rick: "We will."

I get that. I really do.

But my POINT was to show that, whether Kennedy or Clinton, there's often a large halo of characters around certain folks which include those who meet an untimely ( according to whom ? ) demise. One could draw lines from any number of random 'dots', and come up w/ a suspicious looking pattern, depending on how you arrange the associations.

I get your point and I respect it. But for me, these conspiracies scream out Occam's Razor. There's just too much against the official versions for me to accept them.

Here's another bit which might interest you, Jongsie.

The bizarre tale of a downright monster who was probably involved up to his eyeballs, that scumbag James Jesus Angleton.

He started out as a rather notorious backstabbing punk coasting through Harvard on his Fascist-Friendly daddys money, despite being essentially dumber than a box of rocks, universally fulla shit and having no loyalty save to himself.
The guy was prettymuch a sociopath and political bootlicker of the worst order, and his defining characteristic was a streak of rabid paranoia which made Hoover and McCarthy look downright sane in comparison.

He wound up using a combination of political savvy and outright blackmail to gain control of large factions of the CIA, and he downright *hated* William Colby for privately calling him to heel for leaking nuclear tech to Israel and when the Pike and Church Committees started calling out the incredible abuses that our alphabet soup goons were committing wholesale (most of which Angleton started or had a heavy hand in), Colby fired his ass and chased his little cabal right the hell out.

Which makes Colbys oh-so-terribly-suspicious "boating accident" even more ironic cause the one habit the two shared was fishing in that particular area.

He's another one you'd wanna take a close look at cause just by stoking his paranoia that Kennedy was a "closet commie" he would have moved heaven and earth to help knock him off and cover it up - he certainly had access to most of the resources, including a private assassination squad.

His stench lingers even today, cause the whole mass-surveillence concept started with this asshole doing so unto his own co-workers, and then rapidly expanded once that prick Magruder realized how potentially useful it could be politically, and so forth and so on.

Ole JJ is no doubt down below burning right next to that fucker McNamara, on the other side of a spot reserved for that ratbastard Kissinger.

What's especially ironic about it is that due to the CIA's utter ineffectiveness in providing actionable intel or useful milspec support cause they were too busy fucking over the people they were supposed to be protecting (or providing false info as an act of political sabotage) that despite pouring billions into that ratfuck, the Joint Chiefs of Staff then *had* to create their own agency to do the job the CIA would not or could not, AND keep it completely off the books to protect it from interservice rivalry and retaliation.

The real pisser was of course, the CIA's supposedly accidental failures which blew the Iran hostage rescue to hell in a handbasket, and resulted in FOG being sent in instead to obtain realtime intelligence, which after the fact showed up the CIA assets as either utterly incompetent or downright malicious.

It was known as "Activity" to most, and once it had outlived its usefulness due to politicalization of the JCOS and nobody actually caring whether intelligence was accurate or not, was retroactively dubbed USAISA, and then throwing Valerie Plame to the wolves when she wouldn't cook her assessments to say what they wanted caused the few remaining ops from that era to get the hell out of dodge.

Anyways, if you wanna lay blame for how fucked up things are today thanks to these assholes, make sure to land a big clod of it on Angleton.

Sunday evening’s debut of "Killing Kennedy"brought in record ratings for the National Geographic Channel.

The Killing Kennedy film was based on Bill O’Reilly’s co-written book of the same name. Racking up 3.35 million total viewers, this iteration of the Fox host’s Killing series broke NatGeo’s previous record and tied the record for a 1.1 rating in the key 25-54 demo. Those previous records were held by O’Reilly’s Killing Lincoln movie.

I enjoyed the movie very much. Rob Lowe did a terrific job. Michelle Trachtenberg and Ginnifer Goodwin were outstanding as Marina Oswald and Jackie Kennedy. The production was first-rate top to bottom.

3.35 million viewers is amazing considering it was up against The Walking Dead, 60 Minutes, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, and Sunday Night Football. National Geographic is showing it again this Friday.

I mentioned elsewhere that Hinckley shot Reagan for
the love of Jodie. And Oswald had no such excuse.

It's easy for me to make light of assassinations years
after the event. It's not so easy to take every very
serious thing seriously.

What motivated Oswald to assassinate JFK?

"Lee Harvey Oswald was evidently a deeply dissatisfied and unhappy
individual, an antisocial "loner," who tended to entertain grandiose
and possibly paranoid fantasies of brilliance, success and power ..."

"Based on his reported behavior, some of the early signs of sociopathy
seem to have been present in Oswald, along with narcissistic traits,
as evidenced by grandiosity, inflation, and his reportedly rude, egocen-
tric, and arrogant attitude toward others, including his wife, whom he
allegedly physically and emotionally abused on more than one occasion."

OK. I freely admit that I didn't know LHO personally.
But he just didn't strike me as being loving or lovable.
He may have been passionate about his beliefs. But
he seems like a classic clueless blamer. And a Meany.

Correction: conspiracy means more than one person knew about it, doesn't need to be many. So there are 2 options: Lee Harvey Oswald was the Lone Gunman, or there was a conspiracy.

One of those who shot at Kennedy was Charles Harrelson. Nobody can know which of the shooters actually fired the 2 fatal shots, but it certainly was not LHO.

Oswald was a lousy shot, barely qualifying in the Marine Corps with a decent rifle. It was impossible for him to make a shot, or fire as many rounds in as short of time as happened, or aimed the blind shot he would have needed after passing up the triangulation shot, and he was not in front of the car where the shots came from.

That is really just the surface.
I have talked to many people who have a mental block about any interest it what the truth of this matter is. I don't know why AURaptor seems to fall in this category. I'd be interested in hearing his reasons/ideas about why he rejects any possibility other than the impossibility of LHO as The Lone Gunman.
