Oh, thank you Cav and Mike...as I sit here giggling...this is the second thread I've read (while waiting for Jim so we can go run the dogs), and starts my day off with a bang--well, a giggle anyway...

By the way, my bedroom pretty much IS my closet...all that's in there are clothes in the closet, another of those portable closets, a chest of drawers, clothes on various chairs, and my computer desk (oh, yeah, there's the snake, too, but she hardly counts), no bed. So I guess you could say I TYPE from my "closet" whenever I'm HERE, hee, hee, hee...

Okay, I had to read what he wrote, and laughed my head off. Briefly; he's not worth more than that. Mind you, I'm not surprised anyone missed that I'm bi, I don't expect anyone to pay that much attention or remember anything anyone else wrote. But Six so often seems obsessed with me--or at least getting attention from me...or something...?...that it surprised me he'd think I'm in some kind of "closet". Weird.

And threads about a subject the Supreme Court is considering in two separate cases, which is getting so much nationwide attention that it's hard to find ANY other news, is "butt-sex"? Double weird...

This guy is surely the saddest thing to stumble into RWED in all the time I've been here. Kane was pathetic and disgusting, but at least he seemed to indicate in a few of his threads that he had at least two brain cells to rub together, but this one? Wow...

Rap's complaint is disingenuous; the right has shown immeasurable "fear" of gay marriage, over and over, in so many of the things they say. They talk about "their" loss of rights, how their children will be "corrupted", and how gay marriage will "destroy" marriage as we know it, not to mention how it will "destroy" society, America, you name it. If that ain't fear, I dunno what is! That's exactly what the video does such a great job of portraying: the irrational, idiotic FEAR of same-sex marriage and what they SEEM (?) to think would result.

That's why I wrote what I wrote, Niki - you pretty much blew up any "closet" you might be in a long time ago, and Jack seems to be the only one who missed it, or who even cares about it.

I take people as I find them. An old coworker of mine remains friends with me; he came out a few months ago, and told me about it. He asked if I was shocked; I told him I was surprised a bit, but thinking about it, it made sense at the same time, and I asked him if he was happy. "Happier than I've ever been my whole life. I'm free," he said. So I told him that's all that matters, and I'm happy for him.

So many people think it's going to blow up their lives when they reveal who they love or how they feel. And when they finally just say "Fuck it" and let all the secrets out, most of the time people just go, "Yeah, cool, I'm glad you're happy."

Have y'all seen this? It's pretty much the greatest "coming out" letter I've ever read. Warning: There might even be tears.

So, Niki, I don't know if Jack thought he was going to shock you, or offend you, or what, but he seems to have missed the mark so widely that THAT is kind of shocking, I think.

Of all the things people hold against each other and hate each other for, why should hating someone for who they love or how they love even be a real thing?

Here is my take on gay marriage, gay love, gay relationships, etc.; it's the same as for any other marriage, love, relationship, or what have you: If you are lucky enough in this crazy, often shitty old world of ours to find someone whom you love, and who loves you back, then you had better grab hold of each other and hold on for all you're worth, because it's a damned rare thing, and the world needs a lot more of it, not a lot less.
