Hmm, I dunno.

Here's the funny thing, and I know it may sound strange coming from me but... I take issue with the notion of Dora using firearms or explosives. Mind you, I like Dora, one of the few childrens characters these days that doesn't encourage kids to sit down, shut up and OBEY - who prizes learning and exploration, knowledge.

But in practice she's more Guile Hero than Action Girl. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GuileHero And I think a side-order of Trickster/MacGuyver schtick would be useful too, cause her primary 'weapon' is how intelligent and resourceful she is. Plus I would most definately throw some language puzzles/puns in there, oh yes indeedy.

And I can sooo see this one coming from her. "I don't have to be stronger than you, or bigger than you, and do you know why ? Because I am SMARTER than you!" *cue immediate comeuppance*
