Jon Stewart did a bit which, in my opinion, explains why all the pissing contest Iran, Israel and we are having. Pardon the commercial, and if you want to get to the meat, start at 3:39.

Wouldn't it be amusing if he's hit the nail on the head, and that's all this is?

...perhaps "amusing" isn't quite the right word...

Talented stand up comedian? Yes

Clear, objective and informative explanation of geo-political situations? Not so much.

Note to self: I wonder how long Anthony will continue with his childish, moronic persecution of others whom he falsely accuses of things for which they're not guilty.

Apparently, Storybook thinks I'm a " dumb redneck motherfucker" because I don't cater to extreme, far Left wing views and socialist dogma. So be it.

Hello Niki,

It would be a relief if all of this was merely posturing for political reasons.

The REALLY funny part is how the first line accuses Anthony of claiming things that arent true, when he has the reference thread that proves his point there...all while his second line accuses Story of something with no quote, or backup, based on something that is 100 percent opinion.

The irony...oh its delicious.

I used to enjoy watching u guys go back-and-forth w him, but it really is more fun once I picked up my own stick and started poking the bear.

Actually, there is no irony, what so ever.

While I don't deny what I said, and then later on went to clarify where Rush actually got it WRONG, Anthony falsely attributes my ONE comment on that ONE case and extrapolates it to how I feel of ALL women. He completely misrepresents the entire issue, as do most of y'all, for your own personal reasons. I get that. I'm just calling you out on it.

Note to self: I wonder how long Anthony will continue with his childish, moronic persecution of others whom he falsely accuses of things for which they're not guilty.

Thank you Rappy - my days would be so boring without all your bullshit to laugh at. (You can go ahead and add that to your signature, too - if you think it'll earn you some extra pity)

Not seeing where she said no one watches him. Are you just making stuff up and assigning beliefs and positions to people again?

LOL.

Caught in a lie (or at best, tossing out a complete falsehood without even a scant effort to know WTF you're talking about), shift goalposts. Well done.

You might have missed one little detail - Niki said nothing about ratings (that was you - and you were full of it).

Note to self: Come up with some pity-baiting sig line so everyone sees how persecuted poor wittle me is. Then I can be just like Rappy!

Hey, thanx Story! I didn't know that, and what it says is illuminating!

And it's true, I said nothing, nor was I thinking about, ratings. The fact that Stewart's little four-day-a-week, half-hour show out does ALL of FauxNews' ratings gives me hope, and speaks volumes.

And yes, it WOULD be truly wonderful if that's all this was, hopefully everyone (with notable exceptions) wishes that too. As long as the elections happened BEFORE an actual war was begun!

Official: Israel, US disagree on Iran timetable =>

Israel and the U.S. disagree on what would be a realistic timetable for
stopping Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, Israel's defense minister
said Thursday, but he stopped short of threatening unilateral Israeli action.

No chance Iran will take a chance against Israel =>

Yes, the Iranian government may profess hatred for Israel and shout that
it must be destroyed, but let’s be real: When Iran goes nuclear, it will
engage Israel in a MAD (mutually assured destruction) standoff. Since
Israel has the bomb (plenty of them, in fact), an Iranian nuclear strike
against Israel would ensure Iran’s annihilation. The ayatollahs running
Iran aren’t stupid. In fact, they need Israel far more than Israel needs them.

Yeah, that one pissers me off, too. Israel has long had a policy of putting up settlements in Palestinian territory, then expanding and expanding and refusing to slow down development. Makes me sick, especially since our country has so blindly backed them all along.

Egyptian candidates' tough words on peace turn Israel wary =>
http://www.kansascity.com/2012/05/13/3608181/egyptian-candidates-tough
-words.html

Last month, a long-standing gas deal between Israel and Egypt was suddenly canceled
by the Egyptian partner. The deal, which provided Israel with almost 40 percent of its
natural gas needs, was touted as a symbol of good relations between the two countries,
and the language that made up its charter carried frequent references to the 1979 peace
deal between the two countries.

Now, with less than two weeks to go before the first round of Egyptian presidential
elections, many in both Israel and Egypt are wondering if peace will hold.

Every Egyptian presidential candidate has publicly questioned the peace deal, leaving
many in both countries to wonder if an arrangement that ousted President Hosni Mubarak
defended for three decades isn't about to fade away.

. . . . .The worst and most frequent consequence of paranoia is that it's self-fulfilling.

JERUSALEM — The American ambassador to Israel said this week that not only was
America willing to use military force to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons,
but that preparations had already been made for a possible attack.

“It would be preferable to resolve this diplomatically and through the use of pressure
than to use military force,” the ambassador, Dan Shapiro, said at a meeting Tuesday
of the Israeli bar association. “But that doesn’t mean that option is not fully available.
And not just available, but it’s ready. The necessary planning has been done to ensure
that it’s ready.”

While American leaders, including President Obama and his defense secretary and chair-
man of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, have frequently said all options are on the table regarding
Iran . . .

the spokesman for European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. The P5+1

the offer, he said, without providing specifics . . .
