Dems are doing their best to distance themselves from Obama.

Voter fraud, intimidation, what-have-you, this was rampant... as is typical from that side of the political spectrum.

The DNC knew that if Hillary ran, she would lose. Noone likes her. AND, if they could get a black guy up there, than a bunch of pansy PC people would never dare to vote against him. That would be raciss.

Now, all this stuff is coming to light, brought there by one of their own. Its a smokescreen tactic of course... "SEE, we didnt really want Obama, it was all this... we wanted Hilary!"

Noone cared until now, which really concerns me. But I guess the Novemeber elections really has them worried.

Hopefully if the right people win, we can dismantle all of, or most of, the terrible policies that Obama has set forth. Im not really too concerned about ObamaCare anymore, as I think it will be shut down before it can even get started. At least I hope so.

So again, its a smokescreen, a way of Dems to distance themselves from Obama, and try to rally their base, and maybe push or a Hillary run in 2012.

Then again, it could also swing into a huge shi*-storm. Because...

If it does turn out that Obama was illegally, and unConstitutionally put into the running for power, then its grounds for impeachment. In fact, it would be grounds for getting rid of his entire cabinet.

Any ideas how that could play out?

Would McCain have to then be declared the winner? Since Biden ran on Obamas ticket, would he be kicked out as well?

Your desperation is showing, Wulf. Again. The birther thing already went to the Supreme Court, IIRC, where it was kicked out, because the SCOTUS said there was no issue there, and the lower court didn't even have the legal standing to BRING the issue before the Court. If the SCOTUS says there's no legal basis for them to listen to the case, that's your last appeal, and the matter is settled. Sorry, but not even your "activist judges" on the Court can help you on this one.

At this point, it wouldn't matter if Obama WEREN'T constitutionally eligible for the office (he is, and was); he's in. He *IS* the President of the United States, just like Dubya was before him, even though there was no legal basis for him to be (s)elected to the office by the SCOTUS. (And they even admitted as much, stating in their decision that their decision was for THAT case alone, and WAS NOT to be used as precedent for any other disputed election)

Likewise, I seriously doubt the Democrats are going to mount a challenge to a Democrat incumbent President. As President, he's the head of the party, and he's not entertaining challengers. How many challengers did the Republicans put up against Reagan in 1984?

You can't even get Ron Paul in, not because of anything he's ever done, but because his party affiliation offends the blue lever pullers, and the very real threat that any progress he might make will be co-opted, distorted, then exploited by the feckless curs of the GOP - kind of how "Reasonable" Christians get that one inch, and then send in fuckers like Fred Phelps or James Dobson to fortify it while grabbing for another, that's just crazy.

On the other hand, you *could* get him in as Veep, but surely not behind Palin, and I still think Alan Grayson is the best bet for deposing the chicago political machine (Obama/Hilary) which hearkens all the way back to the horrors of Tammany Hall.

See, both Grayson AND Paul are appealing straight up to common sense and fiscal responsibility, in plain freaking english (although Grayson is a much better public speaker) and it's already a fact that they're quite capable of working together, as their mutual support of HR 5353 proves out.

Best of all Grayson is NOT part of the chicago political machine, and willing to speak truth to power, right up in their face, and on that ticket clipping him would elevate Paul, who's even LESS tolerant of the established order bullshit, so that's a dead letter right there - and since it's a split ticket, with a liberal democrat AND a conservative republican, BOTH preaching fiscal responsibility and common sense, it'd resonate hard with a populace sick and tired of ping-pong politics - you'd get the middle for sure, and a large chunk of the fanatic lever pullers from both ends, and that'd be all she wrote even with the "electronic advantage" which no one wants to investigate any more now that it's in the hands of the other side.

Fuck this Yes/No, On/Off, Black/White bullshit, split the ticket and go for broke, right now we got a perfect storm, Obama ain't cuttin it, he's had his chance and blown the follow through, and what do the Dems have to replace him ?

Jack diddly shit, and same with the GOP, there's a vaccuum, they got nothin ready to compete, and you get that in EARLY enough, then they're playin catch-up all the way, and they won't, not without a seriously radical restructure of their own party agendas and platform, which even if they DO try, will completely cripple them right when they need to be strongest.

Frem, as I pointed out to Wulfie, the Dems *aren't* going to put up a challenger to Obama. They simply aren't. You don't challenge the incumbent President when HE'S YOUR GUY. You challenge from the outside.

2012 *MIGHT* be a good chance for a viable third-party ticket, if you could convince Grayson to jump ship, and Paul to do the same.

Of course, that assumes an awful lot that's not in evidence at the moment. Assume the economy is going to keep getting worse for the next two-plus years. Assume joblessness WON'T turn around. Assume no progress in either war, in either winning or getting the hell out; in other words, assume an ongoing quagmire.

In short, it's a really bad time to be prognosticating on Obama's chances at reelection before we've even held the midterms.

Unfortunately for the righties around here, they've built up the hype for the midterms so high that they have to not only take control of the House and Senate to be victorious, they have to have veto-proof majorities! And I'll lay a hundred bucks right now that that ain't happening this November.

Any takers? Anyone wanna put their money where their mouth is, and bet me $100 that Republicans don't pick up veto-proof majorities in both houses of Congress?

I agree that Dr. Paul is not the best oratator. Hes kind of like your grandfather. Lots of experience, lots of knowledge, is right about pretty much everything... but dammit it, he just doesnt have the chupus to motivate the sheep.

I think the video speaks for itself. As we saw w/ the Philly thugs standing outside in para military gear, or the 2 men in Indiana, threatening an elderly lady, or harassing and threatening caucus members for other candidates... the theme is clear. Vote for Obama, or you're not voting.

It wasn't just 1 random incident, but a wide spread epidemic. How anyone can passively shrug this off or make light of obvious injustice, only shows their hypocrisy and the lip service they're paying to freedom.

Now that Americans know what to look for, you can bet that the same antics won't work again.

What, no more butterfly ballots? No more closing the polls early in black areas, or putting only one working machine in a voting location, as was done in Ohio by Bush's people in '04?
