...I don't want to bring any of them to the top, but I gotta vent: I just went through the last two days' threads in RWE, and was yet again disgusted to find HALF of them are pure horse and put up by PN. Does the man have nothing else to do in his life except blab about his grievances and paranoid fantasies in endless posts, complete with absurd videos?

Must be sad to have a life so devoid of much else that one is willing to spend one's life finding stupid videos and plastering thread after thread with ranting and raving that nobody's interested in on a forum. Do you think this is the only one, or does he do it on other forums? That would be truly pathetic to contemplate!

No relevance to anything useful here, just the need to vent after searching for something worthwile that people are discussing...

Its called free-speech.

YOU can rant about hippie non-sense.

PN can rant about the "jew world order", and how Bush and Obama are space aliens bent on robbing the world for its salt...

Everyone gets a say.

Even if the opinions (like the examples above), are full of go-se.

And Wulfie here can post about how black people have "lower blood" than whites...

I think PN floods the board with his particular brand(s) of crazy just because this is the ONE board he HASN'T been banned from. While his stuff is annoying, and sometimes amusing in its lunacy, I for one am thankful to have it. Why? Because having his insanity here means that he hasn't been banned from this site, and that can only be a GOOD thing. I'm not a big fan of people being banned for voicing unpopular opinions, since I hold so many of them my own self...

Meanwhile, skip over them, point and laugh, mock incessantly, or whatever it takes to get through the muck. Onward, as they say, through the fog!

Ahhh, Wulf...should have known you or one of your ilk would be here quick smart. Makes me also wonder....Didn't you say at one point that you have a job? You're lucky to have one that leaves you so much time to hang out here. Just like PN--tho' I don't know if he supposedly has a job or not.

No, there's a difference, a big one. I don't rant (except for the above); I try to present rational arguments to make the point I'm discussing 99% of the time; I don't put up idiotic videos and I don't call everyone racist names and constantly espouse violence.

Of course it's free speech. Nobody's talking about shutting him up, I merely expressed my frustration at how MUCH bullcrap he plasters all over the place; that's free speech too. As is your propensity for labeling people, lumping people into categories like "hippie", and calling things other say "nonsense"

Not that you care, but another difference is that this was a VENT, not an attempt at discussing an issue...which all of PN's posts appear to be trying to be...I think. Maybe all his posts are vents, too, which would probably be even sadder.

And hey, Mike, I DO--and most of the time can tell what's his by the title--but occasionally it actually gets to me when I can find little else containing a decent subject. (I love the Oat Willie, by the way...didn't know anyone still remembered the "Fabulous Furry Freak"s )

Well, PN can get a little spammy, and he and I can be at odds over a number of things like the jewish faith, homosexuality, and sexism...

I'm still not the sort of person to snark or mock someone. *shrug* I've learned to spot PN's threads. Used to try to read them, too, but I don't have enough time anymore.

Before we start complaining about each other, I wanted to say I really like something that you said on a different thread today:

Quote:

That was a waste of time, wasn't it Perfesser? I was thinking exactly the same thing as I read through the thread; was really interested at first, then all but sprained my finger scrolling down to ignore all PN's rants and the snarking back and forth. I notice your post did no good either, which is why I rarely bother.

On the other hand, I'm not into assigning negative acronyms to anyone, and once one of the extremists STARTS the snarking, what I see is nastiness coming back at them and then pretty much equal stuff going back and forth from then on. Nobody's innocent.

We don't have to agree with each other, we don't even have to like each other. But civility towards each other makes a much nicer board to go to. It's something in the past we've tried to endeavor for.

In order to deal, most of the stuff PN and Wulf say that's offensive goes past my radar, I just try to focus on the stuff that I feel like commenting on. Otherwise you end up getting into the same old unproductive arguments with them. If you look close, everyone has something valuable to say. I could easily have been branded a 9-11 skeptic nutjob, and that could be the only issue I'm known for, but that doesn't mean I don't have insights into other stuff.

I'm pretty close to being branded an anti-population control nutjob, though.

Yeah, that's true. And we shouldn't toss our ways of interacting. Despite your dramatically different posting styles AND political orientation, you and RipWASH get along well. So snarking isn't necessarily bad. Sometimes things just get a little close to flames, which can be uncomfortable for the onlookers, but I guess it's none of our business.

Actually I did kinda snark something Hero said today, but I was more about expressing disbelief over his choice of argument and examples. I will point out a false analogy if I see it. Sometimes I'll try to be funny too.

I hear ya nikki....

few years back I wrote up a little javascript that would go through and delete all his posts on any given thread. You had to run it each time you opened the thread though and it seemed kinda pointless after a while.

In the end, PN's only a little crazier than rest of us. I guess the consensus is that it's better to put up with the loose ends and have freedom than rely on a central authority (The Alliance?) to crack down on the freaks.

Hello,

If Free Speech is the Rose, PirateNews is most definitely one of the Thorns. He pricks me often and frustrates me constantly. Also, because of his paranoid racist sexist bullshit, he undermines anything useful he might ever say. In effect, he is the worst possible enemy to every cause he professes to value.

As such, I think he's either having a big laugh at everyone's expense, or maybe he's actually working the other side. Either way, I do wish there was a 'Make Piratenews Invisible' button I could select on my settings. This, because I am too weak willed to see some of his B.S. and let it slide without comment.

Thorns prick, and that's one thorny prick I've yet to learn to avoid.

It's especially bad lately because it does seem he's been dominating the threads. I suppose if the RWED ever dies, his job will be complete.

PIRATENEWS

John Lee, conspiracy therapist at Hollywood award-winner History Channel-mocked SNL-spoofed PirateNew.org wooHOO!!!!!!

If someone else wants to post news stories on FFF, get to work. Or this forum will die. Which is what the NWO wants to happen to Free Speech.

NIKI2 =

Don't you get sick of Nik's agenda? All Hail King Obama! Every post reads like a Commie White House Talking Point. Might as well watch CNN to tell you what to think today.

Must be another soldier in the boilerroom psyop. Forums must really be scaring the NWO.

I've got a friend and communications professor who write articles like that, because he's paid to do so in order to pay the rent. We collaborate on a few writing and investigative video projects of importance, like interview presidential candidates and get plagerized by 60 Minutes. But it's funny to read his Obama agenda. That's how anybody in the "real" news media operates, just another hired gun.

Me, I just tell the Truth about everybody. Which pisses everybody off, of course. Funny how Truth does that. With my TV, radio show and litigation v Gangsta Gubmit, I piss off a lot of sheeple. Even got a bullet hole in my car after appearing on TV in a murder trial. Telephone death threats have been recorded and given to law enforcement (what a joke).

Our local newspaper monopoly publishes our local "alternative" weekly newspaper too, after buying them out, firing its staff and cutting it in half. Today its cover story complains about posters on the forum of the newspaper.
http://www.metropulse.com/news/2009/nov/04/online-comments-civic-engag
ement-its-bestor-worst
/

It's a pathetic rant by the desperate newspaper editorial board vs forums and blogs highjacking readers (ad click sales) from the newspaper and its forum. The story only profiles 50-70 year old posters, of course, since that's the pathetic newspaper's failing demographic. These posters only promote NWO buttkissing, the Police State, Big Brother, etc. No mention of its nefarious secret censorship that leaves comments only visible to the poster. No mention of the newspaper's lawyers arguing in a murder case for "free speech" to allow anonymous posters to make death threats against appointed defense lawyers. No mention of posters who fact-check newspaper lies, or the newspaper's $20-million welfare grant from the city taxslaves, and their attempted $1-billion robbery of the city taxslaves ("that will bankrupt the city for generations to come" according to city council). The newspaper itself is now less than 1/2 its size before it got the $20-million govt bailout.

Quote:

These issues in mind, in May the News Sentinel, with sponsorship from the Associated Press Managing Editors, held one of many roundtables taking place around the country to discuss online comments—essentially how to retain the benefits of public participation while limiting or removing the nastiness that often accompanied it. Those invited to speak included Randy Neal from knoxviews.com, McAdams, local news directors and editors, community leaders, public officials, victims of crime (Channon Christian’s mother, Deena), and victims of fame (Phillip Fulmer’s daughter Brittany [daddy was overpaid $100-million to coach college football]).

“There’s no free speech issue here,” remarked former magazine editor William S. Rukeyser. “As editors we edit everything else that’s in our publications. There’s no reason that suddenly the comments at the end or in a tab are a wholly different area. In my view they’re just a modern technology version of letters to the editor.”

This same newspaper attempted to get me arrested and sued me for legal sanctions by secret motion in a secret court hearing I was banned from participating in, for my subpoenas of all contracts between the city govt and local media corporations for propaganda placement, under the TN Open Records Act. Today I sued THEM for sanctions, at $125.00 for each secret court motion their lawyers refused to serve process on me.

Corporate media is dying, lick a tick on a dead dog.

But don't worry, the internet as we know it will soon die, just like western civilization. Now shut up and go back to sleep Amerika, Big Brother in in control. Now lay down and die.

Both assassinated?

Hello,

Piratenews is incapable of dealing with his missteps and misinformation foibles. In his mind, he is the infallible hero of the people.

Never mind that he can't even get the most basic information correct, or that he can't get past his own prejudices. He calls the married mother of a three year old child a 'man hating lesbian' just because she stopped a gunman.

Poor Pirate. The Hero of the Private Universe Between His Ears. Was he washed and rinsed by the gangster government, or was he just born that way? The world will never know... or care, most likely.

Actually, often his legitimate links to the usual media sources are worth checking out. He's linked to some wikipedia and CNN/ABC news articles now and then that I've found fascinating, icicle-like gems of real, gut chilling news... Though they may not always be related to what PN's talking about.

I would say very rarely, rather than never.
He does on a rare occasion come up with something relevant or useful - but I don't blame ya for not bothering to dig for it, not a bit.

Problem is, that extremely rare valid stuff he *has* encountered is what made him the way he is in the first place, there really is stuff out there that just the knowing of can hurt you, mentally break you - which is both why I am cagey about sharing any, and why I am a bit more tolerant of his raving than others.

Not to say it doesn't annoy the piss outta me too, but I figure if naught else, he serves the same function as a coal mines canary.

If he ever STOPPED bitchin, I might worry.

What Pirate found isn't what made him the way he is. But if they ever find a cause for schizophrenia, then we'll know. He's schizo, folks. He makes lots and lots of connections between things, most of the connections are irrelevant and a vanishingly small percentage are brilliant.
