Crime spree caught on FOIA Act

Girl, 2, investigated by police for 'vandalism' after being accused of hitting car with stick

The vehicle’s owner called the police claiming the child had deliberately damaged his car.

Details of the child’s brush with the law last June emerged in a request to Wiltshire Police under the Freedom of Information Act.

Michelle Elliott, founder of Kidscape, said: ‘You cannot have a child of two as a suspect. It is insane. It is stupid. This is the most bizarre thing I have heard of. It makes a mockery of the law.’

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Grayling added: ‘This is just madness.’

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: ‘Under the Home Office rules officers must attend where an allegation has been made – irrespective of the accused person’s age.
‘They are obligated to do so and they are also required to record the allegation as a crime.

‘But if the person is under the age of criminal responsibility they cannot be arrested. Had the little girl been ten years old, she could have been arrested.’

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

I'm not sure what's strange about this.

Police were called to respond to a crime.

Police came out and made a report.

Police left.

This is not even newsworthy. When I worked for the Police Dispatch, there were several times we sent officers to investigate Chupacabra in people's lawns.

If they call you, then you go. This policy is a result of someone, at some time, making a judgment call. "That's bullshit." And then later finding out someone got hurt without a police response. Now, Every Call Gets Investigated.

It's the will of the people at work.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Hey BTW Anthony- apparently most chupacabra sightings are of coyotes with severe sarcoptic mange. Most recently, heads and photos obtained by Ms Canion at her ranch in Cuero TX.

chupacabras, he ?

I seen some wacky stuff in my time, but not one of them.

On the other hand, the former fremgirls ex tends to cause the occasional bigfoot sighting, cause straight up, he's damn near 7 feet tall and looks like Hagrid, hair and all.

Funniest part of that being I didn't even steal her away like a thief in the night, instead doing so right up in his chin about it - we were at a party and she was buzzed and amorous, and he's givin her the cold shoulder, to which I am like WTF man ?

He starts with the i-dunno-if-i-feel-that-way-about-her stuff and I'm like DUDE, make a decision, or *I* will go over there cause she's kinda cute and I like em psychotic...
"You wouldn't DARE!"
(Guess who drove her home, eh ?)

Funniest part of it is folk askin me (5'6" 131 lbs) why he (6'8" that poor scale) is givin me dirty looks at various social events.
"Oh, that, I hijacked his woman."
The LOOKS I get outta that, hehehehe.

Anyhow, dude looks like bigfoot, and actually got called in as one when helping clear the back lot of a mutual friends property, hell even the cop thought that was hi-larious.
