Basically we voted for Obama(well I didn't, but I'm starting to regret that) for these 3 important issues:
-Energy

-Health care

-Education

He's making huge sweeping changes as we speak. And while the health care reform still frightens me,(just sounds too good..where are the cons to this ray of sunshine?) every thing else checks out ok. I think if former president Bush were to initiate such a bold strategic plan concerning these areas of interest, I might have died of shock.
PEACE brothers and sisters.

Add "The War", he wants to send more troops.

Add "Patriot Act", libs wanted to end it under Bush, Barry's kept it

Ummm, yeaahhhhh... [/office space]

I'm not a big "joiner", so I'm probably not going to be taking any kind of "Obama Pledge", or any other kind of silly oath (Pledge of "Allegiance", Oath of Fealty, Oath of the Horatii, or Hippocratic Oath either).

You know how you can pretty much KNOW when someone's about to try to fuck you over? When they ask you to join in on their little group by pledging your loyalty to them. Sorry, but no - I took an oath not to take pledges. (I also gave up Catholicism for Lent, and they still haven't figured out how I pulled that one off...)

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

I voted for Obama because I hoped he would be marginally better than the other guy, and significantly better than the previous guy.

I am still observing the results, and have not been able to come to any strong conclusions with the evidence provided so far.

As for this pledge...

It ain't helping the case.

Okay, my hats off. For the first time, I have to say: I'm with Whozit on this one.

He definitely has a point, and if I can only add only one thing to it, it would be "has anyone noticed something odd about our fiscal policy?"

I like Barry, and the media attacks are blatantly *cough* israel *cough* absurd, but this is about policy, not the man. Gorby is a very likeable guy. Step one to repairing America: kill the war, scale down the govt. Okay, that's two steps. Third, repeal the federal reserve act to remove the debt, don't create a new 50% bracket...

Strange thing about our taxes. When some other country says 50%, they mean 50%, when we say it, we mean more like 85%. Same thing with our unemployment figures, etc.
