The act of changing the titles of threads is beyond childish and annoying, and yet some fucking asshole keeps doing it. Just to let you know , I'm not going to let you have your way. EVER. As long as no one is being defamed or targeted in any way, I don't see why you can't just let folks have their right to say what they want to say.

Don't like the title ? START YOUR OWN DAMN THREAD ! That way , you can have your own say in the matter!

I'm not screwing w/ the author's intent, so why the hell are you? What are you scared of ?

I think what he meant is that the original poster can edit the titles back whenever the respond to the thread. I think.

And I think you can edit it whenever you edit one of the older posts, too. I'm not sure, I've never really tried it.

Which isn't to say that vandalism can't be funny. The "Zombie Invasion" here in Austin a few weeks back was pretty damned funny, you ask me.

When I was working at the University Co-op, there was some graffiti painted on a picket fence of a house behind the co-op on morning. "Free Palestine," it said. The next morning, someone had added underneath, in smaller letters, "while supplies last!"

Silly? Sure. Stupid? You bet. But funny as hell, too!

And while 'Rappy the Wonder Dog may not be wrong about this, neither is he innocent.

I made it a habit to sign my vandalism, so it hasn't been me doing it lately, but I don't see what the big deal is. Sure, it's a little inconvenient, and annoying, and perhaps juvenile, but no harm done, right? It's not like we're changing neighborhood signs from "25 mph" to "50 mph." And, it's doesn't change the actual title of the thread, just how it displays on the main page.

(Says the person who was originally responsible for introducing the information on title-changing to RWED. Which I did because RWED was IMO not particularly productive at the time, and I wanted to unleash a little chaos for my own personal amusement. So I'm definitely biased.)
