The U.S. economy WAS on fire under Bush, for 6 years. Until the Democrats took control of Congress. It's been all down hill since then.

Besides, they just get "Q" to mess with the player & it'll play anything. It's SO a non-issue.

This isn't about W. And don't get me started on B.O.'s "special Olympics" comment on Leno last night. Tacky, classless... He's just not ready for the big boy chair.

No one gives a shit about the DVD story, except wingnut loons who are looking for any reason to bitch.

As to the special olympics line - which he appologized for before the show even aired, well, I found this on a humor site last night, right after Leno aired:

Quote:

I'm sure this was deeply offensive to the mentally handicapped, or at least that's what Rush Limbaugh will claim tomorrow, with plenty of feigned outrage and a heaping helping of bombast. In Obama's place, I would have made fun of the Amish, since they don't have TV or internet.

On the other hand, I kinda like having a president who only BOWLS like a retard.

Once again, the right winf feax outrage brigade jumps into action.

How utterly predictable.

It's always nice to see the staunchest opponents of political correctness in nearly every other form band together in faux outrage to score a cheap political point on a popular U.S. president.

Sure, there was no malice in the remark, but that's not going to stop Obama's enemies from laying a haymaker on the guy. There, my friends, is the subtle difference between being a hypocrite and a fucking hypocrite.

To bring all of this back into perspective . . . we've covered this gaffe in this thread:

They were Region 1 + Gordon Brown's faililng eyesight + he's a foreign diplomat = a bad gift. Period.

No spin. No bickering. It was just not that great a gift considering the circumstances. And I'd say the same thing if Bush had done it.

Too bad. Ready or not, he's in the "big boy chair". He won, the old coot lost. Deal with it. You have no case.

And stop with your phony indignation already. If you're so concerned with the plight of the handicapped, put your money where your mouth is: give money to the Special Olympics to show them how much you support them. Volunteer to help them out. Quit bitching about a not-shit joke and start DOING something.

But I know you won't, because you'd rather piss and moan and flail about in phony outrage over somebody saying something un-PC. And all the while, you'll bitch about having to be PC in the first place.

Did any of you see the thread started awhile back by Rue concerning some comments made by Bush at a world summit? You know, the one where Bush had the temerity to say something along the lines of "Russia is biiiig". Where were all of you 'non-partisans' then to proclaim how inconsequential a throw-away comment like that was?

Well, since I have no recollection of that quote, or the thread, I'd say I was busy not caring, just like now. Non-news is non-news.

But thanks for the extra helping of false indignation... (even if it is a pretty lame attempt, really)

kwickie

There's no phony indignation here, and no amount of childish back and forth , " yeah huh! unt uh !" bullshit on your part will change the fact that Obama is a clueless ideologue, a drift on the high seas of reality.

This is beyond rookie mistakes.

His cabinet appointments got dismissed one after another, never even making it through confirmation, almost each of them having not paid their taxes.

Then he makes a complete fool of himself, the office and the entire country by giving the P.M. our closest ally a freaking BOX set of DVDs, most of which he's already seen.

Oh, and to add insult in tackiness, they weren't even formatted to play in the Brown's DVD player ( What, not everyone uses 'merican type equipment ? ) Had W made that sort of screw up, .... hell, y'all blame him for every god damn thing already.

But it just keeps getting better!

Obama then makes a tasteless , tactless remark about his piss poor bowling, and compares it to the Special Olympics. Great, make fun of the handicapped. Bravo, oh Great Leader. ( And before you go whining about " faux indignation" again, Prez B.O's words drew fire from Special Olympics head, Timothy Shriver - http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=aEY45N6mhnQ0&refer
=us
)

But Obama wasn't done! He then sent a grossly patronizing video message to the people of Iran, spouting the most inane sophomoric rhetoric about shared ideals, peace and respect. It was a true Kumbaya moment, and a complete show of weakness to the rest of the world.

The list goes on and on, and we're not even 60 days into his 4 years of Obama's Excellent Adventure.

And that's my favorite part - that we have three years and ten months more - AT LEAST - of this burning a deep, deep hole in your soul.

It gives me warm and fuzzies.

But be sure and keep it up with your phony outrage, your faux indignation. It's just so cute to watch you flail about like the giant pussy you are.

Motive ? B.O. wants little to do w/ the British. Going back to their rule in his father's country, Kenya. Same reason he sent back the bust of Winston Churchill. Barry's got a beef w/ the Brits, it seems.
