Done toldja what to do often enough.

It's down to box three, where we refuse to enforce their asinine laws.
http://www.fija.org/

"I consider trial by jury as the only anchor yet devised by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution."
-Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Thomas Paine, 1789.

Also, you should be influencing and suborning those who enforce those laws, for without those willing to obey it, the voice of tyranny cries unheard.

The first 2 are great - asshole uninsured drivers - who pays if they hit you and put your wife in the hospital?

Cities with deficits - like newspapers with deficits only we can't let them close up can we? If they can make money and push drivers to get insurance, all good in my book. And yeah, I hate insurance companies too, but that's another thread.

Last one - wrong place wrong time, but if you're going to be "in a bad part of town" so to speak, you'd be stupid not to think bad things might happen.

I have a friend who's a cyclist nut, thinks every road belongs to him as much as any car, especially the busy narrow ones. "Ok, fine, when you get hit you can complain about how unfair it is. You'll be right and in the hospital."

Used to be you'd take out insurance against just such a situation. But that wasn't as profitable as the insurance companies liked, so they lobbied to legislate themselves more customers.

I'm not seeing a lot of point in shooting, Wulf. Fact is, there aren't enough of us - yet. And, there likely won't be enough until after it's too late. I dunno.

Not really so funny, Wulf. If we ever are in a situation where shooting is called for, the last thing we oughta do is talk about it on a message board.

So... When are YOU going to do something about it? Are you waiting for everyone else? Are you waiting for SOMEONE else to start?

But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
Ah

ah, ah, ah, ah, ah...

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
all right, all right, all right

So. When do you start?

You seem to have several in mind already. Pick one, and put your money where your mouth is.

Pretty pathetic though, when after all your big talk, someone suggests you actually, you know - DO SOMETHING rather than just talk, and you turn it into a threat against that person, while avoiding doing what you say against those who have commited the wrongs you speak against. Those are the tactics of a coward who doesn't have the balls to do what he keeps insisting is right, and would rather strike at anyone who dared question his rhetoric.

And to be clear - I am not approving of the stories linked above (I don't know what the youtube one was, wouldn't open for me). Bad things happen, bad people get power. I hope the cop that shot the unarmed kid looses his job, and spends some time in prison.

But saying it's time for an armed rebellion over shit like that is childish. Every time you folks go hysteronic over stuff like this, it damages any credibility you might have when discussing something that might actually warrant it.

And, I find is incredibly telling that some of you (though not all, clearly) only really adopted this mentality when a Democrat won.

Bah, shootins easy - it's also, historically, ineffective.

I am going to steal a quote from The Acts of Caine here, you figure it the heck out, you'll understand what I mean in detail.

The Board of Governors: This seems a steep price for so small a service: to crush a powerless cripple.
Tan'elKoth: Doubly fools. He does have power. One power: the power to devote himself absolutely to a single goal, to be ruthless with himself and all else in its pursuit. It is the only power he needs - because, unlike the great mass of men, he is aware of this power, and he is willing, even happy, to use it.

Remember these words are coming from someone who took "no such thing" and "conspiracy theory" to ramming an iron fist down the throat of Synanon/The Seed/WWASPS till they fucking choked on it, even if it did take almost thirty years.

It's EASY to pick up a weapon, select a target and accomplish nothing more than damaging your own cause - but to undermine and assail the very foundations of your enemy, weapons are useless, or at least conventional weapons are.

Friendships, allies, contacts, faith, trust, and knowledge, the *power* of information - a weapon can be taken from you in an eyeblink, your armor shattered in a single blow, but the strength of MY weapons endures, and every attempt to smash them just gives them that much more power.

In the end, those that would see us as chattel will unknowingly hand me every single thing I need to crush them - and by those actions, will be their own undoing.

Start seeing angles instead of conflicts, potential allies (or at least unwitting dupes) instead of targets, find your friends across the field and arm them with the weapons above, leave tyranny no hand to wield it.

If folks are so willing to hand over the reins of their lives to the powers that be, what's stopping you from holding out YOUR hand with a better offer, neh ?

You're comin at it all wrong, if you wanna get the job done.

It sounds very much like that's exactly what you're going out as.

And Frem is right about this, as usual. Pick your target - corrupt police, corrupt politicians, corrupt judges, whatever. Pick your target, only instead of trying to "take them out", concentrate on exposing their corruption. It's so much more efffective when you can put them all over YouTube and your local news picks it up!

So, put down your gun, pick up a camera and a microphone, and start exposing some shit.

Oh, and if you wanted to do a little creative vandalism, I'd not be one to tell you not to. There's lots of ways to spoof traffic cameras. Those cameras haven't been very effective around here. They don't seem to work very well, for very long.

So cut off the freakin MONEY.

Manipulate the city council into extending the yellow time by one second in exchange for helping them redirect the income to their own pet projects and away from the police dept...

Then have a laugh as the ticket revenue plummets due to a sufficient yellow time and the pissed off city council kicks the camera company right out of town.

Redlight Scamera Companies Bribe EACH Politician $72,000 per YEAR, which does NOTHING to fund govt. 95% of robocop ticket tax is outsourced offshore, which does NOTHING to fund govt.
www.thenewspaper.com/news/27/2712.asp

Lawyers, judges and politicians agree, the best defense for all camera tickets is to throw them in the trash and ignore them, for lacking mandatory personal service of process, as required in all civil lawsuits. Even cops are shooting these traffic cameras with bullets, cuz they don't like being replaced by foreign military contractors that export 95% of ticket taxes to Australia, England and Commie China.
www.piratenews.org/kill-robocops.html

Cops and politicians run the cartheft rackets via mafia towtruck contractors, just like cops run and tax all other crime rackets. Cops give free title to car thieves for any vehicle listed as stolen in NCIC database. Grand jury refused to indict last month for theft of my 2 cars, because govt employees have immunity for all crimes (govt = organized crime gang).
www.piratenews.org/affidavit-criminal-complaint13jun05.htm
www.piratenews.org/newslinks.html

Our previous sheriff went to prison for $1-million in cartheft (1 night's work), and our next sheriff confessed in the news to stealing parked cars at the mall with a convicted copkilling towtrucker (never arrested despite 6 convictions for perjury and renting an airport from a convicted drug dealer). The towtrucker had a shopping list of specific vehicles to be chopped for parts, and the sheriff was lookout. The mafia-owned mall had no security cameras.

Cops and courts can never force anyone to buy insurance from a private corporation. Insurance execs pay themselves $200,000 PER WEEK PER PERSON salaries, not counting Warren Buffet (GEICO Govt Employees Insurance Corp CIA) who paid himself $30-Billion tax free in just one year. Read your state's statute on "financial responsibility" and you'll see dozens of "exceptions" to the "requirement" for insurance.

Private persons can never be rquired to buy driver license contracts nor vehicle registration contracts, which can only be required for commercial drivers for-hire and for corporate vehicles. Note that traffic tickets are the easiest of all lawsuits to win, and you can even get PAID A PROFIT in traffic court. Even if you lose in traffic court, 50% of losers never have to pay tickets nor court costs, by using their Homestead Exemption and Affidavit of Indigency (which includes your $10-million home in Florida).
www.piratenews.org/how-to-win-in-dragon-court.html

Boat drivers don't need driver licenses, and aircraft pilots need neither pilot licenses nor vehicle registration in USA (ultralights, "student" pilots or self-taught pilots). There is no such thing as a "pilot license" - it's called a "pilot certificate", and is mainly for advanced training in high-performance aircraft (no speed limits) and commercial pilots for-hire. Unlike driving a car, pilots get excellent training, especially in emergency procedures and high-speeds, and any pilot can fly 1,000 mph if they want to (if they can figure out how to afford it).

No pilot license required for ultralights, registration optional, you can even build it yerself

I just been through this bullshit with the traffic tickets issued by cameras. Ok Arizona is now putting a end to the ones on the highway. But Tucson still has 4 that are with the city. Now the green arrow light last about 2 seconds. If your caught in the middle because jackass infront stops to get in the other lane bam a 280 dollar ticket with a mandatory 40 dollar traffic school. I admitted to guilt even though I was not at fault but I did not realize the fine. It doesn't matter with a lawyer you won't beat it in court. Now everyone in this class got photoed at that light. Now something is up. This is taking citizens and making them criminals. The state is in the red 90 million. But there is a way to beat it. Traffic tickets have to be administered by law by a policeman they cannot mail it to you. So don't return the letter just dump it. They will send a cop out so don't answer the door. From the time you get the ticket it will be a 4 month wait till they dismiss it in court. Plenty of people I know have done this checked there case on the web and sure enough dimissed. The cop may come out twice they got alot to do more likely once.

Do they actually send a cop for redlight tickets? That cuts their profit tremendously.

Service of process by cop costs $75 in normal lawsuits, because they have to pay the cop to do it. Normally ONLY sheriff deputies do service of process, NOT city cops (who do redlight scameras). I used to do that job for a law firm serving subpoenas, and it's a lot of work chasing folks down at home, and that's for million-dollar lawsuits. It makes no sense to do that much work for a $200 lawsuit. City courts even refuse to mail redlight tickets registered mail with return receipt signature required, which only costs $3, since that "costs too much".

Better to just bluff the suckers who wet themselves when they see their own shadow, since that's 95% of the population.

PN, on the ticket it says a cop looked at the pictures and administered the ticket. My buddy at work said a plain clothes cop came out. Now I am not sure who handles it Sheriff or City. I know Honest Pirate Cat the boob paid it like a dumb ass. Like my buddy just didn't answer the door. It is a racket. No kidden about the green arrow lasting 2 seconds. "We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

Any decent lawyer should be able to get it thrown out, PirateCat - it won't save you a bunch of money, but a group of people could try to go class-action with it, if you can find an attorney who wants publicity more than money.

These cameras aren't operated by the police - they're contracted out to private for-profit companies. They tried them in Austin, but it didn't last long, once someone fought it in court and discovered that the company operating the cameras and collecting the money didn't have the proper certification to operate them. The city only gets about 7% of the fines, the company keeps the rest - so the city isn't going to spend a bunch of money tracking down those who don't pay or who fight the tickets in court.

And it's well-documented - ESPECIALLY in Arizona (look up Car&Driver editor Patrick Bedard's columns on the subject) - that the companies are typically "shorting" the green arrows and yellow lights when they install the cameras. In other words, instead of a three- or four-second yellow light, you get maybe two seconds. And studies show that LENGTHENING the yellow light's interval by a second drastically cuts accidents in intersections - but they're doing the reverse, and claiming it's somehow about "safety". It's about nothing more than revenue generation.

There are ways to fight it, both legal and extralegal. The primary aim is to make it more costly to operate the cameras than any revenue they might generate. No for-profit company sticks around with a losing business plan for very long. If people were willing to fight every camera ticket, shoot, burn, vandalize, or disable every red-light and photo-radar camera (not advocating such behavior; just putting out a hypothetical), and it will go down in history as a failed experiment.

Btw, this is actually true.

I can actually knock one together pretty quickly out of fairly common materials, especially if you have a pair of chainsaws you don't need no more.

If you want a decent one though, you'd have to bring me a Rotax 447UL SCDI to build it around, however, and wait a bit longer.

We've actually been floating the idea since Katrina of mounting an extra radio to a GT400 UL50HP and using it as a spotter for rescue operations, but we'd need to teach someone else to fly the damn thing cause I am gettin a bit long in the tooth for such adventures myself.

I know Honest Pirate Cat the boob paid it like a dumb ass. Like my buddy just didn't answer the door. It is a racket. No kidden about the green arrow lasting 2 seconds. The third car at best gets snapped. I sat through an 8 hour class on a sunday during NFL season OMG was I hot. All good citizens too. The US will be like England soon.

The cops don't REALLY look at the video, they just claim they do.

Two Arrested in Louisiana and Spain for Speed Camera Attacks

At 10:30pm on March 6, a man rammed a speed camera van in Lafayette, Louisiana. According to the Lafayette Daily Advertiser newspaper, Douglas A. Begnaud, 42, turned himself in to police claiming responsibility for the incident on Ambassador Caffery Parkway that left a battered automated ticketing van lying in a ditch. Begnaud apparently had parked his 2008 GMC pickup truck in front of the van, blocking its ability to ticket. A shouting match ensued with the ticket van driver who ran away after being grabbed by Begnaud. In the police account, Begnaud used his truck to slam the van into a ditch.

Begnaud now faces charges of simple battery and simple criminal damage to property and. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1000 fine.

In the Redflex Sniper Trial in Knoxville TN this month, police admitted they destroyed all evidence that a camera was shot by bullets, by hiding or destroying the housing with bullet holes, and hiding or destroying the bullets. This is because the actual sniper is a Knox County deputy sheriff.

I lived in England for 8 years. Never got a ticket, despite speeds almost double USA. That was the good old days, that we need to fight for.

Example of a class action v Redflex in Knoxville TN, that any person or lawyer can plagerize in any court:

Btw, this is actually true.

I can actually knock one together pretty quickly out of fairly common materials, especially if you have a pair of chainsaws you don't need no more.

If you want a decent one though, you'd have to bring me a Rotax 447UL SCDI to build it around, however, and wait a bit longer.

We've actually been floating the idea since Katrina of mounting an extra radio to a GT400 UL50HP and using it as a spotter for rescue operations, but we'd need to teach someone else to fly the damn thing cause I am gettin a bit long in the tooth for such adventures myself.

Shit, I thought the new hot thing to build around was the Mazda 13B twin-rotor wankel. Small, tough, light, great power output. I still want to do a half-scale DeHavilland Mosquito out of plywood (just like the real thing), and built around two Mazda rotaries. Figure a couple thousand pounds and 500hp. Could be pretty quick... :)

The "On Fire" Economy -
The Dow closed at 10,587.60 on January 20, 2001, the day GW Bush took office. Eight years later, it closed below 8000 on the day he left office - a net loss of 25%. That's what conservatives call an economic "success".

That it might.. for a rather, err, short period of time.

You DO realize if you cut full out on a pair of 13B's with that setup you'd rip the wings off, right ?

The closest platform that *might* work would be a Focke-Wulf TA154, but scaled down like that with those monsters pulling it, I dunno.

If *I* was gonna build a 1/2 scale design around a 13B, I would go with the Junkers Ju87B Stuka, complete with Jericho Sirens, heh.

Of course, these days even the comparatively gentle stresses of an ultralight are just too hard on me physically to be much fun anymore.

Also worth a mention, you have to be a little nuts to fly one as it's barely more than a powered glider, and restricted in such a way as to make it deliberately unsafe, so that the FAA can use the inevitable crashes to push for and justify the lucrative hell of fees and bullshit they drown every other form of light aviation in, just so ya know.

It's the only class where building a little extra safety margin into your plane is actually illegal.
