Well, that's arguable, but what's NOT arguable is that there is no constitutional requirement for it. Only for the words of the oath. As for how you say them, you can have your hand on the bible, your hand on the koran, your hand on the torah, your hand in the air like you just don't care, your hand up your butt, your hand up an intern's skirt, or your hand on your c**k - none of it matters, as long as you state the oath or affirmation. Preferably in a sincere manner, but even that isn't a requirement.

I say they should GO FOR IT !

So Obama flubbed the oath and had to take it again, sans bible? Well, that just proves that he's a muslim, right? He wouldn't say the oath correctly with his hand on a bible, and he wouldn't put his hand on a bible when he said it correctly. It's proof positive! Look it up!
