http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1208/16119.html David Gregory used to make an ass out of himself showing off in the Whitehouse press room. The only choice worse than him would be Keith Olberman.....who's nutz!

If you are unhappy about it, it must be a good thing.

You'll love him, he's one of the Democrats favorite whores.

Well, Rachel Maddow was mentioned as a possibility, too, so I s'pose David Gregory is a moderate by comparison.

And what's your problem with a tough questioner asking the President (or his spokesmodel) tough questions and not letting up without an answer?
For my money, the press SHOULD have an adversarial relationship with government, and should thoroughly vet everything they're told. It's how you avoid things like the Iraq War, and how you uncover things like Watergate. And Lewinski-gate. And Whitewater-gate.

Zit, have you ever had a wothwhile thought? I ask because, so far, you have yet to show any evidence of such.

I'd like to ask a very delicate question...I feel as though the traffic in Miss Kitty's Bar couldn't have generated the revenue to keep her in smart clothes and booze nobody ever actualy paid for. All the customers were hit over the head with bottles, wasting more booze, or shot, or arrested. If you were a bad guy you should never go to Miss Kitty's. Festus was always there yonder a' waitin'.

I think Miss Kitty did some of the hippity dippity moonlighting. If she was...she's my favorite whore

Oh, I never thought it was a secret that Miss Kitty was a whore. It just wasn't ever talked about. It seemed pretty clear to me what she was. But I'd hardly call her my favorite. That honor has to go to Inara, even if she dislikes the word...

I think it's quite clear. Zit is here to show us all what thoughtful, intelligent, honorable people conservatives are and bring us to the light by sheer example.

I'm with my Liberal friends on this one. He does not represent my side or how we think. I do give him credit however for his persistent feather ruffling. Sometimes it is amusing.

Funny... I never saw her dressed in leather of holding a riding crop...

How does one become a Madam? Isn't that like another word for "whore who worked her way up"?

I guess that's somewhat reassuring... Personally, though, I'd like to think that only *I* represent MY side and how *I* think. As for ruffling feathers, 'Rap and Hero do it better, and are at least as amusing most of the time.

RIGHTEOUS9

Nobody at my liberal website democraticunderground.com like Gregory. NObody thinks he's a liberal. They all think he's too much of an insider who is too friendly with the people he is supposed to be reporting on.

While we're on the liberal and conservative media topic again, something struck me the other day that I find pretty hard to reconcile.

Okay, conservatives insist that TV media is far skewed to the left. Got it. But they rail loudly against the notion of returning the fairness doctrine to the airways. And many democrats in office support it, yet if it were to be re-implemented, and if indeed, the fact is that the media is skewed liberal, then they are cutting off their own nose despite their face.

Why would "machiavelian liberals" do something to harm their own interests?

is the argument merely that while liberals would lose this supposed lock on television media, they would gain in radio?

If that were so, it would only be worth their while to implement the doctrine if conservatives have a more pervasive voice as things stand than liberals do.

I'm sure nobody accusing liberals of trying to pass the fairness doctrine is suggesting that they are doing it for altruistic reasons,

so I'm going to make the next leap of faith and suggest that just maybe, republicans still have a far more powerful media voice than liberals do, and that they know it, inspite of the shouting to the contrary.

Anybody want to contradict this?
