...and here's why.

He's another Massachusetts flip-flopper.

During the Vietnam War, instead of serving his country, Romney dodged the draft by doing "missionary" work in FRANCE.

If he becomes the GOP nominee he'll be the first Republican nominee since Thomas Dewey who never served in the military (by the way, Herbert Hoover is the last Republican presidential candidate without military service to actually win the presidency).

During one of the debates, Romney essentially said that anyone without experience working in the private sector is unqualified to be president; meaning that he believes someone who spends their entire adult life serving their country (e.g. Eisenhower) in uniform is automatically unqualified to be president - meaning he hates career military personnel.

Since President Bush's two daughters not serving in the military has become an issue, Romney's five SONS not serving in the military will of course become an issue.

This is frustrating, because Mitt Romney is a douche, but the reasons you give are all petty.

Flip flopping? People change their minds. "Why?" is the important question.

The Vietnam War was as stupid and pointless as Iraq. Can't fault him for skipping out on that one.

I don't care that he's never served in the military.

I do think that someone who's spent their entire life in government is likely to be disconnected from the lives of their constituents.

As long as the warfare machine is running things, I'll never let my kids join the military, so I can only respect him for not encouraging his children to do so.

Mitt Romney is a douche because he has no consistent principles that I can discern. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of constitutionally limited government and the American tradition of individual liberty. And, most importantly, he's just more of the same.

But these criticisms can be leveled at all of the MSM approved candidates. Status quo prevails. It's all "Dancing with the Stars" as far I can see.

Nah, you want a real reason to hate Romney, ask where his money comes from.

Find out what his buddies Lichfield and Sembler do to get it.

There is no greater crime in all the world than the destruction of children for personal gain, none.

He might have publicly distanced himself to look good, but he still took the money in the first place, and damned well he knows where it came from.

Is there anyone who has obtained a large amount of $$ in the private sector who you DON'T feel got rich by ill gotten means ?

And do you KNOW for sure, are you are just fishing for answers ?

I don't like any of the canidates. As far as the republicans go they smell like the rockerfeller bunch. There are no more conservatives I fear in the party. The vietnam war for sure did one thing it stop communist expansion. Today the communists want to fly to the USA, France, and Japan with Boeing jets. All the oppressors they want to fly to, not Moscow or Red China. Thanks McCain for opening trade. We have a generation of sixties bums to deal with Clinton, Bush, Cheney, and Romney. All draft dodgers, National Guard was for rich white kids back then. All ya had to do is be cook on an aircraft carrier steaming off North Vietnam man you would be a war hero today. If you go into the service join the airforce they are the only ones who send their officiers into battle. I like that idea. F105 Thunderchief pilots real heroes in my book. They didn't callem thuds for nothing. Later Gators.

Of course there is, that doesn't excuse those guilty of it however.

Hell yes I know, remember I've been on Sembler and Lichfields cases since before they had any involvement in Romney's campaign, and my ire at Synanon/The Seed/WWASP has pre-dated even them.

Had you been payin attention, instead of ranting, you woulda known that.

Clarification:

Apparently I was not alone in making that connection.

http://www.reason.com/news/show/121088.html

http://pressherald.mainetoday.com/news/state/070506newdonor.html

As for their connection with Synanon/The Seed - which crosses paths with some *really* strange shit if you trace it further back...

Here's a somewhat outdated flowchart of affiliated orgs and facilities, there's a lot more off the books, through holding companies and fronts, and many of them are also outside US Jurisdiction.

http://www.thestraights.com/flowchart.htm
EDIT: Adding Article and updated, simplified flowchart.
http://www.motherjones.com/news/feature/2007/09/how_a_cult_spawned_the
_tough_love_teen_industry.html

Here are some partial roll-calls of the dead, these only include fully confirmed post-program suicides we can absolutely prove and connect with the systems in question.

http://www.caica.org/NEWS%20Deaths%20List%20of%20Names%20-names%20omit
ted.htm

http://teenadvocatesusa.homestead.com/inmemoriam.html

For every death, there are dozens, at least, of mentally "broken", emotionally destroyed children - many of whom destroy themselves with drugs, alcohol, or wind up in the penal system, all of them unable to cope, and with very little help available, especially since in light of the "help" they recieved, they actively resist such attempts and do not seek them out.

They also do not often have family support as in many cases, out of intent, lack of empathy, or ignorance, it is the family they hold responsible.

Just *IMAGINE* the horror of being "dissappeared" to what amounts to a torture gulag by your own family, unable to communicate with the outside world, abused physically and mentally far past the breaking point, and then thrown away when no longer a source of profit for the facility in question.

Think it doesn't happen in America ?
Think again.

http://www.journalismcenter.org/awards/nadya_labi.html

And there are HUNDREDS of these facilities, Shelby has a partial list of the worst, currently on our watch list, and who they are connected to, and even sixty seconds of research will net you long histories of abuse, criminal charges, facility closings, coverups, and endless testimony of former victims.

http://isaccorp.org/watchlist.asp

But that's just the tip of the iceberg, not including satellite facilities, those owned through fronts and holding companies, and unlicensed "black" sites and transfer facilities.

I can say for a fact you have no IDEA how deep, how dark, that rabbit hole goes, and to be completely blunt about it, you never, ever want to.

I seem to be one of the few who can get through to former victims and help them, and it ain't easy, many are so closed off from the world that has done this to em that they're nearly catatonic - and actively hostile to anyone they perceive as part of that system, specifically including conventional theraputic or mental health personnel, so at the entry point there ain't a lot of options left, especially if there is no family support or bond left to work with.

And frankly, not all of em even want any help, there's a heartbreak impossible to express when you reach out a hand to someone drowning in pain and they turn their back on it, and you HAVE to let it be that way...

And these bastards financed Romney with his knowing support.

That damns him UTTERLY, in my eyes.

Evil isn't a word I use lightly, but the folks makin a buck off this define the very term.

No speculation what so ever.

I can absolutely, positively, prove every single word of that five times over, with fully sourced references, legal judgements and documents, as well as related media coverage from every angle, and in some cases the actual on-site security camera tapes of the incidents in question.

Wanna try me ?

If anything, I am *soft-peddling* it, in order to avoid needlessly horrifying people in the process of making them aware of this problem.

Part of the problem is that the facts are SO horrifying that no one *wants* to believe it, just as no one ever wanted to believe the Catholic Church was rife with abuse.

You're not dealing with PN here, you're dealing with someone who has spent the greater part of an entire lifetime going head to head with the folks who run and operate these places, even back when NO ONE believed they even *existed*.

If you'd ever for a moment thought about it, you would realize that my views on how we destroy our own humanity are a direct and inevitable result of watching how it happens.

And I know for a fact from your commentary that you never even checked a single one of those links, cause it might just spoil all your petty little illusions, so don't try pretending.

There's enough proof for me to bury you up to the neck in it, on just an hours whim.

I wouldn't reccommend you push that.

Forget it Frem, peeps hearing from BUSH HIMSELF that the whole WMD thing was a scam would inevitably say "Well, he's only sayin' that because he was forced to politically, he wouldn't actually DO anything bad..."

AU believes what he wants to, using proof as it suits his views, and disgarding that which threatens them- like so many others.

i refuse to equate yellow journalism and muck racking to 'absolute truth'. I can smell a shallow, baseless hit piece a mile away. You can interject as many bizzaro world scenarios as you'd like, about if Bush said this or if Bush came out and said that.....all of it is moot.

Although, I have noticed that a top fundraiser for Romney, James Sims, has just stepped down. That's not something I'll overlook.

i find it kind of amusing and scary at the same time, that the american public thinks that anyone who wants to be president must have been in the military.

the only other countries that think like that is israel and the arab countries.

you wont find a country in europe that thinks being in the military is a "plus" in any way.

Of course we should have soldiers or sailors or marines or airmen or coast guardsmen running our country. They are the one risking their lives to protect it. It's a moral issue. Anyone who has never served in uniform has no moral legitimacy to order others into combat.

By the way, here are some European countries with mandatory military service:

* Albania
* Finland
* Germany
* Greece
* Moldova
* Switzerland

So you are obviously wrong OddballE8. Many Europeans do believe being in the military is a "plus"...and beyond (they believe it's essential to citizenship).

well we have mandatory military service in sweden too... but far from everyone does it...
what you have to realise is that these countries armies are far to small to accomodate every citizen of military age (usually 18) so there is a screening process... alot of people dont actually do the military service.

oh and just because there is a mandatory military service it doesnt mean that the citizens think its a "plus" or essential to citizenship.

its a strategic decision made by the government and military to ensure that every ablebodied man in the country is able to take up arms against invaders (effectively making the entire country one huge army... in theory at least) thus dissuading potential agressors from actually invading.

however, in no way does that reflect the citizens views on the military... look at germany... it has a very negative view on the military in general (no wonder, considering) despite mandatory military service.

finland is about the same as sweden when it comes to the view of military service... its just something you do for a while when youre 18... then you get a job... its like your last chance to mess about a bit (oh we do loads of crazy shit when were in the army)

naah... i doubt that any of those countries consider it a "plus" for government leaders to have been in the army.
(and i know people from greece, germany, albania and finland, and none of them think that way)

naah... we dont need people willing to kill others to make their point... we need people willing to sit down and discuss things and come to a peaceful sollution...

and finally, if mandatory military service is such a good indicator of if a country thinks military duty is a "plus" why doesnt the US have it?
