Building explosion in Harlem

Just passed the building on the metro north train. A day and a half after it exploded, firefighters are still spraying water, with billowing smoke and it's so damned cold the top parts of the remaining walls are encrusted with icicles. And it's BIG. Pictures on line don't convey the scale of it.

Especially scary that a lot of NYC is of a similar age and in need of upkeep. I hope this doesn't become common. Also hope that people know - if you smell gas get the hell out!

Initial reports are that gas was detected " 15 minutes " before the explosion. Now, some are saying they smelled gas for days, even weeks in advance.

I think there's some high level CYA going on for this one.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

It may have not been a gas explosion, the should search the rumble for flight 370. This may be a cover up.
