JAZAF

Jazaf moved trough the ship as quick as he could and searched for Teela and Glico. Eventually he worked his way to the bridge and saw Teela.

"Captain. There are some armed fellas in th Cargo Bay."

Teela looked at Jazaf,"Anyone else down there?"

"Only Ebo. Manti and Soul are on the upper platform thinking of what to do. I can't seem to find Glico."

"Don't worry about Glico I sent her to the Infirmary to check on our medical supplies. She's probably with Mant and Soul now."

Jazaf nodded. "Then we should head that way too." at that Jazaf turned to head back, he paused. "Do you have a weapon on you?"

Teela shook her head and replied "No I haven't" Jazaf then gave her his pistol.

"Here, I prefer to use my katana anyways. I'm not that good of a shot."

"Well then." Teela said as she checked the bullets, "Let's go meet the others shall we?"

SOULOFSERENITY

The Man They Call Soul...

OOC: You know, I just can't let this die!

This is insane!, Soul thought from thirty feet above the floor of the cargo bay.

The brilliant plan that they had thought out involved someone scaling the celing of the cargo bay where the men outside couldn't see. Glico had immediatley shook her head.

"I'm afraid of hights," she explained.

Soul and Manti stared at her.

"You're a fighter pilot!" Soul said. "How in the good gorram can you be afraid of hights?"

Glico shrugged. "I don't hang on the outside of the fighter when I fly it."

Manti stepped down with the thought of: "what if I have another blackout up there?"

"Good point."

So it came down to Soul, since Ebo was in the cargo bay with guns pointed at her, and Jazaf was still off searching for Teela.

He swung out from the top of the stairs and grabbed onto one of the girders that ran the length of the cargo bay. He pulled up his legs, and, praying that he couldn't be seen from outside, he began to traverse the distance to the cargo bay doors.

OOC: Finally, someone thought of an idea...!

Mantichorus bit his lip as Soul crossed the girder. If he should curse, slip, or break wind, their proverbial goose would be cooked. There had to be something he and Glico could do.

"Psst! Hey."

Mantichorus glanced over his shoulder to see Teela and Jazaf.

"What in the good gorram is he doing all the way up there?!" Teela hissed.

"Trying to save our pilot." Glico replied.

Teela thought about this for a while, then replied: "What if they're the people we've been sent to deliver to?"

Mantichorus gave her a look which suggested that he had never thought of that, and he felt more than a little stupid for not thinking of it. "Well... If that's the case..." Mantichorus paused, trying to think of some way to finish the sentence, without any lethal conotations. "...We're humped."

OOC: That just occured to me... They could be perfectly legit - well, as legit as things get in this business...

JAZAF

"I am not about to have a deal ruined." Teela stood up and headed down the stairway into the cargo room. Holding her hands high and with the gun Jazaf gave her clearly in it's holster she greeted the three men.

"Gentlemen, Welcome. Are you the liason for our contact?" The man in the middle spoke up "We are."

"Good. Do you have the amount that was agreed on?"

"Sure do." the man on the left chipped in, holding up the bag that held the payment.

"Ok then, toss it here and I'll send the box on over."

The man on the left looked the to one on the middle, waiting for confirmation. The man in the middle, obviously the leader, slowly nodded so the man with the cash threw the bag towards Teela's feet.

"Now if you'd be so kind as to give us the box." the leader said.

"No problemo." Ebo chirped. As quickly, and gently, as she could, Ebo slid the box the three men.

The third man scooped up the box and turned away, as did the other three. The leader shouted over his shoulder, "Pleasure doing business with you!"

Teela shouted back "You too.", as soon as the door closed, "You fay-fay duh pee-yen."

Jazaf, Manti, and Glico ran to the center of the Cargo bay and stared up.

"You okay up there Soul?" Manti shouted. Ebo looked up in confusion, "What's Soul doing up there?"
"Trying to save you from being a bullet-ridden corpse." Teela said.

"Not as good as I had ..." Soul didn't get to finish his statement. His hands lost their grip and he fell from the beam.

"Hwai." was all Glico managed to say before Soul landed on the three of them.

"Thanks for breaking my fall guys."

Mutterings of curses were all the rose from the group.

OOC: OK, I can't think of anything to add to the story right now, but there are some things that I want --need-- to say as a general aside:
A) Sorry, Jazaf - it was your idea originally that the Nameless Thugs could be here for 'legitimate' business. All due credit to you.
B) Whatever happened to our Captain (Teela) and our female merc (Glico)? Did they jump ship or summin???
Mantichorus, signing off, having wasted a bit of bandwidth.

OoC: Right, got an idea for a new part of the story...

Soul pulled himself off of Jazaf, Glico and Mantichorus, and reached down to give them a hand getting up.

"I swear," Mantichorus grimaced, holding his back. "Our lives are a gorram comic-tragedy."

"Better than complete tragedy..." Ebo said, stil smirking at Soul falling on Jazaf, Glico and Mantichorus. "Right, we did the job and got paid. What comes next?"

"We get a new job." Teela said firmly, and walked out of the ship.

Jazaf glanced at the others. "Does that mean we get more trouble?"

"I've been on this ship from the start, and it's been trouble the whole way." Ebo shrugged. "Hey, has anyone ever told you about the time we ran into Richie...?"

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Jazaf stared at Glico as the crew of Sidere sauntered down the street. "You threw an Alliance Lieutenant out of the airlock??"

"What?" She shrugged. "Manti said he had a laser pistol... Hey, how the gorram did you know that anyway, Manti?" Glico turned on Mantichorus, her expression a mixture of confusion and annoyance.

"Who cares?" Teela replied, before Mantichorus could say anything. "I'm just glad the hwoon-dahn didn't damage my ship."

"Who's the hwoon-dahn? Me, or Wilkins?" Mantichorus asked. This provoked a small amount of laughter from the crew as they went down the street.

"Hey, 'scusie." A voice said. The crew stopped and saw a strange looking man with a camera. "You's look like off-worlders. Yuh wanna picture to commemorate yer visit?"

"OK." Teela smiled.

"Uh-uh. Photo's aren't my thing." Mantichorus shook his head.

"Aw, come on. Where's your sense of adventure?" Ebo teased.

"There's not enough room for it in these trousers." Mantichorus responded. Seeing the small look of confusion on the crew's faces, he sighed, before rewording himself. "Pants. There's not enough room for it in these pants."

"You're having your picture taken." Teela said. "That's an order."

Soul shook his head amusedly. "I'm not to fond of having my picture taken either Manti, but it looks like you've got no choice."

Mantichorus sighed. "Fine." He lapsed into muttering his complete repertoire of Chinese swear words under his breath. He really hated having his picture taken.

JAZAF

Jazaf caught only a small portion of what Manti said, but he heard enough to understand how Mantichorus felt. Pictures left evidence, evidence that could be traced.

Jazaf didn't like the thought one bit, paranoia crept into his mind and took hold. Trying to keep a straight face for the photo was quite the task for Jazaf at that point.

"Ready?...two....one..." said the photographer as he took the picture. The flash was disorienting and Jazaf was could stil see spots for a few minutes afterwards.

"Aiya! I hate the flash. it's the worst part of the picture in these backwater planets."

"Aw come on, it's not that bad. It could be worse." Ebo chirped, motioning behind her, "After all look at the great backdrop we have!"

Jazaf looked at the town they shot the picture in front of. It wasn't big, then again not many towns on the rim are, but it seemed peaceful. but the smell of the cattle distracted him from fully appreciating it.

He wrinkled his nose and covered his face with one arm and headed for the ship, muttering 'I need to breath.'

OOC: Man, Oh Man! I am wracking my brain for this!
