Justiciar is defined as "The administration (or administraTOR) of Justice"

... the very thing the Alliance promised, but not only failed to provide, but actually was hypocritical about.

The 'thing' that Maro finds at BoSV, is a security packet. It contains irrifutable information and proof that the Alliance goverment faked several incidents in order to declare war upon the Indpendants. Incidents that cost millions of lives and 'destroyed' several palnets (probably ecologically).

Actually it is a certain faction that has been manipulating things for many decades. No, not Blue Sun - that is another animal in and of itself.

This affiliation of the filthy rich is intent on controlling as much as possible. Their 'Earth that was' Icons were a multitude - Duc de Richelieu AKA Armand Jean du Plessis, William Macy Tweed, Kakuei Tanaka and many more.

This situation is too far along for a group of only 10 or so people to stop. Even with the information and 'proof'.

So, in their travels, Maro is seeking others of a like mind and building a network.

In addition the crew intends to dispense justice - in whatever form they can. Diverting Alliance ships, moving cargo to those in need and so forth. But in the guise of ... well corsairs or privateers. Being ex-Alliance does help with the illiusion of being a privateer crew, so to speak.

Saw that the character Mercedes Troy appears to still be open. Was that meant to be Mr. or Ms. Troy, or do you care?

I assume COB is Chief of Boat, the senior NCO on the ship. That would make the Chief directly responsible for the cook/medic, avionics tech, and cargo crew. And also responsible for keeping them from getting too familiar with the upper ranks, unless that's OK in the 26th century. Hmmm.

Were you looking for a Master of Arms(armorer/CQB instructor/shooting coach) or a Master at Arms (MP/disciplinarian)? I'd really prefer the first, since a COB is pretty much going to be the discipiinarian for the other ranks anyway. It would be fun to invent the weapons the Justiciar crew will carry.

If the job of Chief Troy is still open, let me know if I can take a shot at it and I'll go looking for before and after pictures. Otherwise, maybe I can bring Thorne over for a guest shot some time.

Got bored today, so I cut out a dragonfly from paper, put it on a background underneath "Justiciar" (But I was so tired, so I missed an "i".). That's all.

Jax Sparrow seems interesting, esp. considering I just got the "Pirates of the Caribbean" DVD last week. Might want to go through and cut out a better 'after' picture, if I can find one that doesn't include flintlocks or swords.

Quartermaster on a small vessel would have to be a bit of a scrounger and not above a little larceny. A lawyer would be appropriate for the post. Sounds like something I could play with. Andrew Jackson Sparrow, Esq. perhaps?

I build the variant frame work and enviroment based from what Joss and company built.

Then you folks (the DF RPrs) help paint and decorate with character and story arcs I may have never considered.

TO ALL ORGINAL CREW PLAYING
This means any of the Ex-Alliance who served at BoSV.

I, after seeing the some of the others ideas and bios haved decided this:

Everyone who served at BoSV will have some sort of prostetic... it does not have to be 'visable' -just noted.

In addition, I would like to TRY and avoid as many Bionic Man/Woman superhuman abilities coming from the crew's 'additions'.

The Alliance would only do the least they could in the matter of replacing or rebuilding anyone.

Now, that does not mean that the crew did not alter {or have Heropa and Veila do it) their prosthesis for extras - as long as the extras are not TOO Bionic Man/Woman'ish. SaintJayne did an excellent job of 'keeping it real' on Hlastoni's prosthesis.

This all is to vividly show that the crew really DID pay their 'pound of flesh' if not more at BoSV.

I'll use Maro as an example and let the others chime in if they want to.

Hlastoni, Merc, are the only ones so far ... and meebe Heropa, canna remember.

Maro: left eye and part of his left cheek/orbit and jaw.

...eye is funky {I haven't decided on the 'look' of it yet.} and does not have any real 'bionic' powers - basic replacement by the Alliance after BoSV. Some vision restored, but any enhancements were made on Arcade' (Junkyard planet, where the crew builds the Justiciar)

Cheek and jaw 'look' normal, but are titanium and electronics with a synthflesh over them.

The eye, cheek/orbit and partial jaw are removable, making Maro a gruesome sight if he is caught with them all off at any point.

Forgive me - this one is off the subject.

CapnRahn sends his compliments to his crew. Circumstances have made it necessary for me to speak for him for a moment. This is just to let you know that the cable guy has finally disconnected his service and for the moment he is off-line.

I was not given any estimated time when email/internet would be up and running again, however when I know, YOU will know.

Good job, got a nice feel and gives some insight.
Sent mine off couple days ago and been polishing it ever since - never occured to me to post it on my site. Yeah, and like mine I understand it is subject to change fitting the Director's needs

I have it on very good authority that the BIOs are being worked on and should be posted as soon as feasable under the circumstances. While I may be able to pass on messages from the Director, I can't post data for him, we don't live close enough together.

BTW if anyone feels this thread is getting too unwieldy It really is ok to post to the pre-production thread for discussion. Or if you want to wait a few until the images are sized and the BIO's posted, that works too. Just passin the word.

Think I have mouthed off enough for now - have a day, friends.

I am almost finished with a move.
