For a costume, of course. Leave shipping times to me, what I'm after is a reasonable fascimile of Simon's waistcoat from the pilot. The jacket would be superb, but I've had even worse luck finding something close to that style.

I've found a few sites, such as Gentlemen's Emporium, but they don't have the right style. Dark blue or black silk, single breasted, no collar or lapel. If I had time and skills, I'd buy an appropriate pattern and make one.

I guess I didn't think this part or the outfit would be as hard as it's turned out to be. But after three days of searching I'm inning out of time. Good thintg he Firefly-themed Halloween party is the weekend after said day. :)

Addendum: As a newcomer, I don't want to step on any toes but would I get a better response if I deleted this thread and put a new one in General Discussion? This forum is awfully far down on the list and I wonder how much traffic it gets compared to General.
