It wasn't the actual dress... but it was done by DKNY, so there are multiple copies of the same dress. It wasn't custom made for the movie, like the Maidenhead dress is. So I just got another copy of the dress. The actual one has already been sold on the Prop Store of London website.

Nice to see some good pictures of how that dress is constructed. I'm interested to see that the skirt is built like my grandmother's wedding dress (she married in 1922), right down to the sequins/beadwork (looks like sequins on the DKNY dress, Grandmother's had beads). Grandmother's had little flutter sleeves rather than spaghetti straps. Bodice is quite similar, too, though not exact.

HELL'S KITTEN

So jealous...! I've been searching eBay for that dress since the movie came out. XD Good for you. ^^

I recently got the BCBG halter dress River wore for Wash's funeral... :crap:

It's been altered to be a bit smaller than it originally was, and I think the black ribbon on the skirt ought to be removed... but, hey! at least it'll fit me. ^^

So...... if you ever find another DKNY dress, would you post the link here? Cuz, you know, that'd be awesome.
