Hi everyone! I just finished my last exam of the semester and drove home with my 6 speaker Bose system cranked and started wondered what you all have in your cd players/tape decks/MP3's/8-tracks right at this very moment.

I'll go first: (Here's what's in my car)

1) Junkyard--Eponymous
2) Junkyard--Sixes, Sevens and Nines
3) Sidewinders--Auntie Ramos' Pool Hall
4) Three Doors Down--Away From the Sun
5) Los Lonely Boys--I forget the name of the cd, because I've never had it out of my cd player since I purchased it, but it's the one with "Heaven"
6) The Cult--Firewoman (cd single-that song just does it for me)

At home I have:

1) Metallica--The Black Album
2) Bobby Darin--Mack the Knife
3) The Jesus and Mary Chain--Head On (single)
4) The Subdudes--Eponymous
5) The Subdudes--Lucky

Ok! Your turns!

Oooo...good question!

Unfortunately, I do a lot of mixes. So, right now, at home I have Harry Connick Jr's old Christmas album, and in the car I have a mix with everything from "Dance Magic Dance" from Labyrinth, to "Breathless" by the Corrs, to "Headstrong" by Trapt, to "The Gambler" by Kenny Rodgers. My tastes are pretty eclectic. That one was just designed to keep me awake, so it's got songs I can sing along to. :) I currently have Evanescence in my computer.

As I type the answer is Old Blind Dogs. Later I may switch from Scottish to Irish and go with Kila.

Or I may go go completely off the deep end and listen to an episode of "Space Patrol". Nothing like '50s radio dramas to make the work day surreal.

Marillion
Marbles CD1 and CD 2

So many things on these CDs make me think of Firefly. When I saw them in DC in October, I asked them if they had ever seen Firefly. The guitarist Steve Rothery said that he had and liked it quite a bit. "Especially the girl that pretended to marry the captain and then tried to take over the ship." Ahh Yo-Saf-Bridge, everybody's favorite spmurderess.

Yeah, I like Stavesacre too. I bought their "Friction" album when it first came out. I was just curious after seeing their first music video. Plus I liked a lot of the bands of Tooth & Nail records, when they were with T&N records. I thought they were like Creed only better. Their "Absolutes" CD is their best, I say. I think it's called "Absolutes", someone stole it from me a few years ago along with 37 of my other T&N records cds but it's the one whose album cover is red and is in a cardboard-"type" CD case, I just don't remember exactly what it was called. But I think it was "absolutes".

"when you come across the sea, i feel like a beacon guiding you to safty, the sooner the better now..."
*melodramatic sigh*

gotta love crouded house. i played the best of during my second trip to hospital in labor with my second daughter... yes i had two trips with my second cause the quacks sent me home... gotta admit i love "weather with you" more. i have this realy deep link with music... my almost 6 year old was born to "iris" by the goo goo dolls, liked to go to sleep with "thunderstruck" by ac/dc and knows most of the words to "what about me" the current version being overplayed on the radio.

my second daughter (2 yo) is a big fan of the black eyed peas. as she says "tay-ay-ya, shake it polariod pick-sha" or "dont sniff roses poo-poo"

and the song about the cat in the hat "cat, hat, in french chat chapeaux. in spanish el gato in a sombrero"

thank god the dvd player died!!!
