I know there are some people here who watch football (NFL, that is) so what I want to know is who do you like, dislike and what are you looking forward to this year?

I like the Steelers, but if they could just win a damn game this year it'd be a lot better. Hopefully they can straighten things out.

I also like the Broncos but that's 'cause of my wife who is from Colorado, so there's not much choice there. Seriously though they are a great team with a decent QB.

Teams I can't stand are the Rams (though I have a few of their players in fantasy leagues), Vikings, Ravens and Jaguars. The latter two just cause I'm a Steelers fan.

As for what I'm looking forward to, I don't even know how to answer that except that I look forward to every Sunday and every Monday night. Plus I'm becoming addicted to NCAAF and that's not helping any.

Any takers?

Is that the game with the funny-shaped ball?

No, it's a little white ball with red stitching on it.

I won't be getting into any soccer vs football (or European rules football versus American rules football or all that versus Australian rules football but I digress) discussions here. I've been there and had to face the wrath of furious "soccer moms." That was deadly.

Personally, I think any sport that's not Quidditch is just kind of boring in comparison.

I'm still amazed how people can justify calling Rugby and Gridiron "Football" as there's very little foot involved.

It seems this thread gone a little of topic , and while I can't help you with the NFL, I Think it will be a West Coast/Brisbane Grand Final in the AFL :-)

I don't follow football religiously, but all the NLF type merchandise I own/wear says Denver Broncos.

I'm actually more of a NASCAR fan myself. #15, Michael Waltrip, is my main guy.

Well, I guess it's up to me to deviate from most of the conversations so far, but...

Go Niners.

Go Texans.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering...

Go Spurs.

Yee Haa.

Not really knowledgeable about football, growing up, I was encouraged to leave the room so that the men could have their alone time. I like it, just don't know much about it.

I found it easiest to root for the team my boyfriend is rooting for, and for the last 4 years (amount of time I've dated my current hunny) it's been the Bucs. Winning the superbowl last year kinda helped improve his standing in rabid Giants/Jets territory.

I think I like the Indiana Colts 'cause they got the Buc's old coach, and I like him, don't ask me why. They're not the best team out there, but if he can do what he did for the Bucs, I'll be happy.

I don't think he's going to achieve is with Peyton Manning in the pocket. I just don't. Peyton is just too pretty to really lead a team.

For me, it's the Titans all the way! They had a terrible start last season but managed to pull it together somewhat. If they can remember to actual block for George and George can remember that he's supposed to RUN the ball, not just take the ball and fall dramatically forward, they might have a chance. That and give Rolle more play. He's a playmaker.

I think we could do good things this year if George stops falling, and if McNair stays healhty, and if O'Donnell stops being a pansy. And some other things, cos I'll just go on and on.

They are my team. Kneeling in front of the tv and WILLING them to win just before the Music City Miracle is a great memory. I cheered myself hoarse.

Titan up!

Sarah

Topless!?!?! How do you get away with posting things like this? I hope Haken doesn't kick your butt for this one Succatash. Personally, I can't get enough humor. Keep making me laugh.
