I'm new around here! name is HarryCanyon, 27 years old (Gonna be 28 in june) and been a Firefly fan since it aired in 2002. I'm also a Sci-fi/horror/fantasy nut as well.

I come from Albuquerque New Mexico, i hope i enjoy my stay.

Just to show you the diversity we offer I hail from England (the real one not the New one).

Feel free to join in any discussions or start your own. Pretty much everyone gets on well here even if they disagree and if we all agreed it wouldn't be any fun. RWED can be a bit treachorous (sp?) at times but maybe that's your type of place, maybe not. Everywhere is civil though with Haken doing a fantastic job running the site.

Hi there! Yep, real world events discussion can be a little like swimming with sharks. Make sure your wits are sharpened.

The good thing about the RWED is that it keeps the bickering away from the rest of the forum, which generally is pretty pleasant. We have a few grumpy old timers who are increasingly disappointed the Firefly franchise isn't meeting up with demand for new material, but they're nice people too, really, you just have to know what buttons to avoid.

As for everything else, we always have sci-fi, television, internet, and general discussion, usually you can find an interesting conversation. We're also a great place for television and fan-project news. There's some Firefly stuff coming out this year such as Still Flying, which includes a selection of short stories by the writers of Firefly set in the verse, and a couple of new comic books. Then of course there's fanart and fanfiction.
