I feel your pain dave. No home internet for me now for a whole week. I may have a meltdown. It's pretty sad when I now look forward to going to work, because I get to catch up on my internet time.

A fate most unkind. Nobody should have to look forward to going to the W___ place. You have my sympathy.

Well, they certainly sit around doing bugger all most of the time.

Why else do you think the Ancient Greeks were big on philosphy, a pursuit you can, erm, pursue, while sitting down, eating and getting drunk.

So hugs to you all, i'll be back soon, mwah!

Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

Morning my fellow floorsters. Is we can have internets now? Imagine a picture of a dangerously cute cat for that. Anywho, life continues to lurch ablong - I'd say drunkenly but nobody has been able to hold life down long enough to administer a breathalizer test - and I'm settling into my current living situation. Internetness is mostly sorted though my email will change over in the next few days.

Sprang the tough,

Very well.

One man, Steve Howe. One guitar, 12 string acoustic. No toys, tricks or theatrics, just talent.
The video quality is poor, but it's good enough to reveal how impressive the performance is.

LMD! How goes it?!

Love those vids, SR. Okay, lying, can't see 'em from home, and they're blocked from work. But I just know I'd like 'em, yeah, cuz, well, Steve Howe! Next you'll be forcing Jeff Beck down my willing ears.

Not Jeff Beck, though I think he's great, I'll introdouce him later. Let's try Bela Fleck first.

Enjoy! Try not to freak on the unconventional choice of instruments, because as you will see that it clearly works and wonderfully I dare say.

Sometimes I imagine Bela sitting on the porch of a house in town of one of the outer worlds playing something wild as Kaylee walked by looking for something to brighten up her bunk.

Tell me River wouldn't dance to that.

It goes fairly well. A couple weeks ago I got to see what is probably my dream concert (well, practically): Roger Waters (and some other members of Pink Floyd), during which they played the entirety of The Dark Side of the Moon (among many other things). A couple days later I went down to MD to attend a big headphone meet (*waits for people to say "what?"). The day after that I proposed to the female unit, and she accepted. It was a good run of a couple days.

More recently I purchased a pair of ridiculously expensive headphones (on credit, which I've now sold off many things to compensate for and also am doing some electronic build work for commision to help the cause out). I'm also in the process of building another couple electronic gadgets (a pre-amp and a speaker amp).

That more or less brings us up to now

LMD,
I meant to ask you about the details of the concert. I checked on it as soon as you mentioned it. Sadly, he was already at the end of the tour and there were no dates anywhere around here. I'm very curious about the mix of material he used. Anything from "Amused to Death"?

Wouldn't that be, like, a convention for people with really tricked out headphones? You know the kind with ground effect and lift kits installed? The kind that go up to eleven?
