Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Copied from Troll "Test" Thread. If anyone's interested, I did some tests, and we have the following and some additional fonts:

I don't think these work: Monaco Palatino Onyx Rockwell They default to the original, but I'm told some of them work in titles.

Tthese seem to work: Impact Helvetica Times Bauhaus mistral

And additionally: Arial Benguiat Vivaldi galliard bellevue madrone signature

I think wheter they show up or not is the website--'cuz I've got Friz Quadrata on MY computer, but it's not showing up. Can anyone who sees this correct it if any of the additional fonts don't show up? Thx.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

I'm just playing.

Edit:

These work for me: Impact Helvetica Times Bauhaus mistral Arial Benguiat Vivaldi rockwell

These don't seem to work for me: galliard bellevue madrone signature monaco palatino onyx

I changed the font size so I could see them better. And now I'm done editing this post.

Monaco, Palatino, and Onyx are the only ones of that group that are working for me.

The others I *DO* have on my Mac, so I know it's capable of showing them.

I'm still playing with my list in the other thread, hoping to get it *complete* (as far as my computer's typefaces go, at least) soon. I'm ONLY leaving in the ones that actually work for me, so if it you're not seeing it on your machine, I'm not sure what the issue is. And nowhere near all my fonts are showing up when I put them in here, so it's something between various machines, forum software, and maybe a couple other variables.

But once we have this awesome power over words, whatever shall we do with it? Shall we use it for good, or Evil (When pronounced archly, as "Eeeee-Ville", it simply MUST be capitalized). I was thinking of making a place for virtual villains to hang out, and calling it E-ville.com. Yes, I'm weird. No, it's not contagious. Or is it?

Oh, now THAT's weird! Monaco, Palatino and Onyx were the ones that DON'T work for me...or Yinyang, yet they're the ones that DO work for you. Duhhhh...

Obviously too complex to figure out...oh well. I'm gonna use my chosen fonts anyway, apparently some can see them and some can't. Sigh...

Machines. I INSIST they have minds of their own...

I vote we use the power (once we GET it un-confused!) for good...there's enough power around being used for Eeeville!

Okay, I'm a little bit brain-wiped now...

This is what I've got so far:

Colors that work (so far):

aqua brown black That's black. blue cyan gold gray green magenta maroon navy olive orange pink purple red sienna silver teal turquoise violet white yellow

Extra-Special Huge Thanks to PENGUIN for formatting these in a fashion that I could steal. Errr... I mean *copy*. Uhhh... I mean IMITATE. Yeah. That's it. :)

No, actually I just stole his, and then added the others that I've found so far. Now I need to add in YinYang's Chartreuse and Mauve number tags as well.

Font sizes that work for me: 12 6 5 4 3 2 1

I don't know why, but font sizes 7-11 just default to 12. Weird.

Font faces that work (for me, at least)

Ayuthaya Baskerville Bauhaus Braggadocio Century Cochin Copperplate Courier Cracked Didot Eurostile Futura Garamond Gulim Harrington Hei Helvetica Herculanum Impact Krungthep Mistral Monaco Nadeem New Peninim MT News Gothic MT Onyx Optima Osaka Palatino Papyrus - Well, OF COURSE that would work - it's the "Serenity" typeface!!! Playbill Rockwell Extra Bold Sathu Silom Skia Stencil STFangsong STHeiti STKaiti STSong Times Times New Roman Zapfino

I'll have to play around with the ending "/font" script to see if that helps, but for now I've got a brain-ache.

Can't tell which of those work for me, mostly, because you have to do the "end font" thing before you start another one...I think the ones I see in the same font style are all defaulting to the last font it "recognizes" on my machine.

Well, none of them have bodies, so it'd be a brown coat hugging their heads, which would be awfully weird. But IIRC Penguin made a penguin smiley with a brown coat.
