Meh, neither do I. In fact, I hate Harry. A lot. Alan Rickman, on the other hand... purrrrrrrr........ *ahem* What was I saying?

Oh! Right! The costume! Dude... duuuude... I made the robe meself. It's from some nice, heavy faux-suede material (?). It took me about 276 years to make it, cuz it was the first time I actually tried to sew anything from scratch (or is that just a cooking term?), aside from the couple of Zoe vests. Anyhoo, because I suffered... suffered... sewing that thing, you have my complete respect. I bow to your mad skillz, yo.

...need an apprentice?

Re: your Browncoat Independent soldier uniform - very nice, very nice. One suggestion, though...? It needs dirt! Lots of dirt. You gonna dirty it up, ne?

AND for anyone else like me:
PULCHRITUDE (pŭl'krĭ-tōōd', -tyōōd')
n. Great physical beauty and appeal.

That would be what PhoenixRose possesses.

Hell's Kitten...wow. I am now impressed. Not only do you collect fine costume pieces, you have constructed one, too!
The cloak does look really good...especially wrapped around you. (sorry, had to say that)
Thank you for the kudos...though I am not sure you would still consider it "mad skills" if you actually saw the process. Lots of cutting, recutting, seam-ripping, cursing, drinking (lots of that sometimes), lamenting, and finally the whole "Fk this, I'm going to bed!" Every now and then, something good comes from it...and I thank you for the compliment on the 76th uniform. As for the dirt...not yet. We are set up as a "newly-formed" Battalion at the start of the hostilities...back when they were still clean.
Hey! I thought you were going to join us?!? What happened with that?

I actually had to look this up, which is not a common occurance. I thank you

Are you marching with the 76th in Atlanta?

Probably, though you won't see me getting as into it as some. I have a coat and I have lots of friends marching and I'll probably be there. I will definitely be at D*C!

Squeeeeeee! Thank you, that is so sweet of you!

What else? Gladiator, that's a shiny jacket there, and a shiny smile.
Tristan, the bar is looking very nice; rockin the shuttle look for sure.
WhoDied, welcome to the site! Yeah, photobucket is your friend here
And HK had to look up pulchitrude, too! When I saw it, I didn't think it would be such a compliment; it doesn't really sound all that nice, does it? I thank you again, naughtyman

To you both: what makes a great photographer (extend that to seemster as well) is not the ability to frame the shot while taking it; but taking a ton of shots, picking the right one and cropping it to the best result. I'm pretty sure that's an incredibly bad paraphrase of Ansel Adams. Or not.

Actually, this is an edit to my last post, but I wanted the reply to go to HK, since she started it with her wand-waving, actress-wannabeeing. How do you know what House you belong to, or rather with. Is there a Hogwart's test in RL, a talking hat as it were, that you put on? I'd be interested to know where my lodgings would be...also not a "fan" but am entertained by it all nonetheless.

So jealous of the snow. It's WI, there isn't any snow, and I'm wearing flip flops! That's an obscene December!

Wha--? Me? Psh.

There are a kajillion tests you could take, JohnnyQ, to determine which Hogwarts House you belong in. (Um. ...determine in which House you belong? Grammartastic!) Anyhoo, there are probably Harry Potter fanatics who could detail this better, but here's my take on it:

Gryffindor (lion) - values courage, chivarly, and boldness. A bunch of whiney, presumptuous, arrogant nits belong to that house. *snikker*

Hufflepuff (badger) - values hard work, patience, friendship and fair play. *yawn*

Ravenclaw (eagle) - values intelligence, knowledge and wit. (not bad...)

Slytherin (serpent) - values ambition, cunning and resourcefulness. Yeah, they have a couple nasty people, but they have Alan Rickman! So I call that a win. *purrrr*

Also? Only a Slytherin would dress like this:
(picture removed cuz i got real shy, real quick)

*snikker*

TRISTAN! JohnnyQ called you "great."

That's a very good bad paraphrasing of Adams, JQ. I've heard some hardcore PhoTogs, though, who believe that even cropping the photo is Wrong and renders you Not A Real Photographer. Me? I just takes pictures I likes. Sometimes they turn out okay.
Like this one! I think this one is okay, with the natural light hiding all the things that need to be hidden:

And this! ATTACK OF THE FANGRRL!!! Hee. He was so soft and cuddly....

("He" being Aaron Douglas, who plays Chief Tyrol on the new Battlestar Galactica)

And now I'm all out of photos*.

*this is a lie.

EDIT:
HELLO! YES! I'VE BROKEN THIS THREAD, SKILLFULLY AND COMPLETELY. PLEASE DON'T POST ANY MORE SCHTUFF HERE, CUZ NO ONE'S GONNA SEE IT.

JQ, thank you for that. I never looked at it that way...but I like the way it sounds!

As for Hell's Kitten...yeah, I love her for her threads and the way she presents them to us. Alright, the fact that she is beautiful is part of it, but really, she is a phenomenal "artist" even if she does not think so. Take the sunshine shot...she summed it up perfectly:

A photo like that is something I would love to have hanging on my wall. Light being the focal point, but also partially revealing a body...gently touching the ear and cheek of the subject, outlining shoulder and hip, playing in the wisps of hair...so yes, 'tis art that I can appreciate, and that she obviously enjoys doing.
*sigh*
Sorry, rambled on for quite awhile there...
