CALLMESERENITY

The JCB song is on the radio.

Made my morning, it did.

I got over my complete panic of yesterday and have settled into a sort of deceptive calm. I leave in less than 12hrs! eep!

Just have to get through the next 4hrs and 11 minutes till I can leave work.

Loads to do.

Sean, if you need me to chase you with my Magic Frying Pan of Sleep, just let me know!

Did you manage to get any sleep?
Sort of, I managed to fall asleep at around 5, then up at half 6 for work.

So now I have a splitting headache, and since I'm first in from work I'm cooking dinner, while I might add my brother who works as the head chef at the local pub who hasn't been to work today plays computer games.

Something is definatly wrong with this picture.

Oh and some idiot pulled out into the middle of the road right in front of me. I missed his car by about 2 inches, my wing mirror didn't.

So I need a new one of those.

Tell me why?
I don't like Mondays.
Tell me why?

I want to shoot
The whole day down.

Afternoon all. Quick question.

If Jim leaves Tulsa along interstate highway 44 travelling east at 85 miles per hour and Ronald leaves Denver along Interstate 25 going south at 90 miles per hour whatever happened to Baby Jayne?

I agree with the first part, though the second... I dunno. There are some pretty awesome places in this little world that I have a hard time contenting myself with calling them "just a place."

Which one? O'hare well that's almost a city on it's own. If you've been through Midway I feel your pain.

Anyway you should make the trip as a tourist some time. Stay a week or two depending on schedule; there is just so much to do in a cultural way: great architecture, zillions of museums, top notch restaurants - steak places especially though you can get just about any cuisine here prepared very well, and a bigass lake. There are even a few places where you can hear damn decent jazz and blues bands.

But you know not boring like I'm making it sound. Anyway that's my tourism board duty out of the way for today.

Chicago's secretive - you have to be in the know to get in - fooderies don't advertise their existence on the web. In fact in Chicago there is a semi decent chance that any given restauarnt and/or bar patron is an actual foreign agent (or at least is a janitor at one of the many consulates) giving our spy meals a much greater patina of authenticity.

O'Hare only, I think. I may have gone through Midway when I was much younger.

Also, you don't make it sound so boring...good steak and damn decent jazz (i prefer the fusion variety, mostly) sounds good.

I flew into Midway for a Chicago trip because it was a cheaper flight. Now I know why... scary, mean people work there. Or maybe they were just having a bad day? I think next time I will definitely pay extra to hit the better airport.

Well no. But they are saying that in 10 or 20 years time they'll let people swim in our river again. So that's something to look forward to.

Sorry should have gotten this in the previous reply. Probably a bad day. My experience has been that the people who work at midway are not significantly creepier/angrier than at any other airport.

The thing with midway however is that they have a very short runway and because it's smack dab in the middle of the chicago metropolitan area they use very steep glide paths to minimize noise polution. The end result being that planes drop like a stone comming in and then lean very heavily on the breaks trying to stop. It's a bit nerve wracking.

It's the age old argument which I will rebut with this http://www.realultimatepower.net/index4.htm (warning autoloading midi file) which can be sumarized with this short quote,

Quote:

Facts:

1. Ninjas are mammals.

2. Ninjas fight ALL the time.

3. The purpose of the ninja is to flip out and kill people.

It doesn't get any more succinct than that. Edit: But should you need furthur convincing try listening to our theme song http://www.7secondsoflove.com/ninja/

7 seconds of love?

Man, i'm stickin with the pirates, thanks to all that rum and the resulting brewers droop, theres hours of fun in one o them guys.

after yeh've cleaned the shite off 'em that is.

Quote:

The rebuttal -

1. Pirates are mammals. (not that the mamals want to admit that exactly)

2. Pirates fight ALL the time even when drunk and unsure as to why.

3. The purpose of the Pirate is to drink, dodge, duck, dive and dodge, steal the treasure, capture the pretty lady (or man) and kill people if they get in the way of any of the above, for any reason as suits.

Pirates are WAY cooler than Ninja's
