VETERAN

Don't squat with your spurs on.

I'm for completely nekked women. The differeence being if your naked you just don't have any clothes on but if you're nekked you have no clothes on any you r about to do something really fun.

I have to admit in my college days I was known to do some pretty crazy stuff, but if those pictures of me in the frilly underwear have somehow gotten out....

Actually (seriously) I do have a friend in textiles working on that very thing. She is making fabrics softer by applying enzyme washes to them. It's a fairly new process. If she applies it to frilly underwear, she better aplly it to non-frilly underwear too. I can't be caught in the frillies just cause I dont want to be itchin now, can I?

That sounds really interesting, hope it works for her. It would be so nice to wear lace and not get chaffed.

Sides, don't men already have a non-frilly soft undergarment choice in the form of silk boxers?

For Sarah,

Who always finds a way to write an incredibly beautiful and strong story.
Whose charm and kindness delight me.
Whose lasting fascinating warmth suggests a deep heat within.
Who dances through life with a fierceness in her heart.
Whose pressing indomitable passion holds me in a trance.

I can't even begin to think how many more undies choices women have than men. Hell, y'all got a whole section in the department stores for your unmentionables, whereas men only (usually) get a shelf or two... for underwear, socks and t-shirts.

Well thanks, Maniac. That was real poetical. Not sure what I did to deserve it and I hope I can live up to it!

Every breath I draw is hallelujah. And it's for y'all.

I leave ya'll to your un-supervised devices for a few weeks and look what you get up to!

(Looks like fun -- sorry I missed it.)

And, totally off the thread: why are ya'll complainin' 'bout alternative romantic relationships on the taglog? Mal can't have 'Nara on his terms, Simon's nearly as pretty, and ... well, I just think anything the Captain does is pretty shiny. Jayne, now, needs to be kept away from most romantical storylines. Not that I don't love Jayne, but he's just got enough on his plate, what with growin' a conscience and all...he and River will probably mature emotionally around the same time, so that could be cute. The Mal-Zoe stories I have read have tended to be very touching; poor Wash would just have to settle with being consoled by our own fair Sarahetc.

Lora returns! The voice of reason!

As for being off-topic, the thread is about Hot Lovin'. And some of the lovin' out there in the fic archives is downright scorching!

Mal and Simon is a very funky combination. But Mal/Jayne and Jayne/Simon are far, far funkier than that and often not in a good way. The best hoyay stuff I think I've read is The Filament series by Lemon Lashes. It's Wash/Simon but very, very good.

They Jayne/River stuff that's out there is mostly very good too. It's a classic dynamic: big dumb guy and smart little girl. I have greatly enjoyed it.

As for Mal/Zoe, there is a short series out there by an author called Jae Kayelle that will blow your mind. It is amazing. Crossing Barriers and Green Eyes, both available at http://firefly.populli.org. I almost cried.

Mal/Kaylee is another great combo, tho that does't get written about too awful much. Kaylee/River gets written about all the time and most of it is pretty, pretty boring.

And there ain't enough Wash/Zoe in the 'verse to satisfy me. And I appreciate that I get your nod, Lora. I really do. Of all the hot lovin' there ever was, I would like to try that out.

Sarah, I have read many of the stories to which you refer. That is the very pair of Mal-Zoe stories I had in mind. I did cry. Sometimes, it disturbs me that I really do like the Mal-Simon stories, but usually I figure it's because I can identify with Simon as a small-framed, sometimes stuffier-than-he-needs-to-be, young professional and I really, really like the Captain. Inara is beautiful and elegant and refined and ...well, a Companion, so I cannot daydream that I am anywhere near her league.

(Wash for you, Simon for LostAngel, Mal for me...I got it all workedout)

Actually, depending on what size a gal wears, she can still be limited in her selections. A size 8 can get anything under the sun. A size 14, not so much.
