Yay! Sixteen floors! I was beginning to wonder if we'd grow taller.

CMS and I were talking today. We decided that, because ice cream sounded really yummy, we would declare Friday, March 31 as Eat Ice Cream Night. It's the newest obscure and undercelebrated holiday(or night) to add to the list. So, in anticipation of Friday night, I've ordered LOTS of ice cream and yummy toppings. It should be here soon.

Wacky fun!

*Mattie checks her Homer drool*

*Wiping her face*

Hey, CMS, I heard that today was Good Lookin' Person day, or something like that. Is that true? And, I've got a new LJ post up, but it's not a finished continuation of the story--it's more like 1/2 of the second chapter. I hope to finish it tomorrow, but who knows. --and maybe that's a more appropriate thing to say ON my LJ instead of here.

I'm out for chinese checkers. I'm TOTALLY in for the nap, though. See y'all after the snooze, and probably after class tomorrow.

Wacky fun!

Since the weather's warming up a bit and I'm longing for summer, I would love some mango sorbet with a side of coconut ice cream, garnished with a bit of pineapple. And I'd like to eat it out of a halved mango, please.

Nothin' wrong at all. Who says we have to actually wait until tomorrow, anyway. I have absolutley NO problem with celebrating early, or late for that matter.
Me LOVE ice cream!
I had this FANTASTIC gelato once. It was chocolate--like godiva, but I was in France, so it was better--and raspberry. OMG was it good! Two scoops of that in a waffle cone would do me up forever--or at least until I get another craving.

Wacky fun!

Whenever my family goes up to Maine, we always stop at this fantastic ice cream shop called Giffords.

The shop we go to is right next door to the house my dad grew up in, which is now a Lawyer's office.

Anyway, I always get this ice cream called Maine Black Bear, which is vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirl and chocolate raspberry filled truffles. And I usually get it in a raspberry ice cream soda. It's fantastic. Chocolate and raspberry are a great combination.

My brother always gets Moose Tracks, which is similar, but with peanut butter instead of raspberry. And we always have to have a bite of each others'. I haven't been up there in over 2 years. I miss Maine and I miss Giffords!

Peanut butter or chocolate raspberry, though...? I guess I'll find out when I get there. Apple pie ice cream. I don't think they have that here, but it does sound good. Have you tried the cake batter ice cream? They stopped selling that here, but they had to bring it back because so many people asked about it.

Welcome back, BEG! Like what we've done with/to the place?

And on the topic of ice cream, do they have Kohl's elsewhere in the world? I know there's four or five here in Wilmington, but not sure about abroad. They've got some excellently odd flavors. Tealicious (teal colored custard) has sparked many a debate amongst the students here on-campus as to what exactly the taste is. Nobody knows. I don't, at least. If someone knows what I'm talking about and actually knows, I'd love an answer.

Hmm.. We have Kohl's department store, but no ice cream.

The best ice creamish concotion I've ever eaten? Dark Chocolate Curry gelato. It sounds gross but it was the most amazing flavor EVER! It was sweet and dark but still spicy. It was honestly the best. If you ever see anything like it (usually it's chocolate and chiles) try it! Seriously, I cannot emphasize it enough!

I think the place looks great!

-BEG

For custard: Culvers is pretty damn good, but I live in WI where custard is a staple and ice cream is sort of an afterthought!

Hi BEG!!

O, I've never head of Kohls, except as a department store. But it sounds fascinating. I have no idea what the teal flavour is, but I'm going to guess: caradamon?

But oooh, I love frozen custard.

There's a place in Philly called Ritas. They do waterice and custard. And, then, my all-time favourite-gelatos, where are layers of custard and waterice.

My favourite was (surprise surprise) mango waterice with vanilla custard.

Haven't had Rita's in over 5 years now! What a pity!

MUST have ice cream today. That settles what was already settled all over again!

Ummm... I know there's a frozen custard place up there in Raliegh, It's next to my favourite resturant. What time are you going to be up there Fri.? 'Cause we could do dinner/custard/drinks. The resturant? http://www.crazyfire.com/ I think the one we go to is the third location "Capitol Blvd" Yup that's it. Here's the custard place http://www.google.com/local?hl=en&lr=&q=frozen+custard&near=Raleigh,+N

Not sure how far that is from where we're going to be. But if Ash can navigate I'll drive. The resturant is about $10 for dinner, but it's all you want at that point, you mix your own spices and they cook it. just a thought, other plans work fine. I'm easy.

JadeHand: I am learning!

Speaking to Ash a wee bit ago before my phone died, I believe she chose Carrabas for dinner Sat night. And since she's the birthday girl, she gets to choose. She is not, however, opposed to custard.

She's working on a plan. Probably drinks Friday night, dinner and ice cream Sat night. I'm staying till Sunday, so we might grab lunch before I have to bail then. We'll see. Should be fun!

ORPHEUS

Waaaiiitt a minute....

It just dawned on me that you all are going to the same Renn Fair that my roommate and our friends are going to. I think.

So I've got a special request that would seriously make my day (since they all ruined my original April Fool's plan by being gone tomorrow). If any of you see these people, especially the one I pointed out....

[Image removed due to ethical reasons.]

.....Tell the one I pointed out there (name's Derek), that his roommate is the single coolest person ever to grace the state of North Carolina. Don't tell 'em how ya know me unless you have to.

If ya don't see them, or if I'm totally wrong and ya'll are going to a different thing, then my apoligies.

Oo, oo. I have to gloat in my success. Last night I held a Firefly marathon with one of my sorority sisters. She'd only seen the movie, and she had been bugging me for a while to watch the show with her. Well Guess WHAT?!! SUCCESS!!!! Yay! She LOVED the show, and, what's more, a guy came and watched with us and he LOVED it too. We ended up watching the first six episodes (the right way) and by 1:00 am I was ready to call it a night--but they weren't. We're going to have to set up another marathon night soon because they're both hooked!
Sweet, sweet success! Ahh, it makes me feel all prideful inside

And, yes, we went for ice cream as an intermission snack.

Wacky fun!
