Hey I was over on Summer's site and saw this paper model that you print out and assemble..Was just wondering if anybody's actually put this thing together yet...?

ROBINHOOD

I've seen 2 vers of the Paper Serenity Model, a fairly small one which was ready textured, (Not sure that site is up anymore), but there's also a huge 3 ft long and seriously accurate one from here..... http://www.armorbimbo.com/
Takes a bare minimum of 70 sheets of pretty thick paper. I'm currently working on mine bit by bit, adding some mods to it too. Won't be ready for a good while yet though.

That link is down, anyone know where else to find that big paper model one? Or maybe someone could e-mail it to me, or host it or something?
The small model is still around - both on Summer Glau's website ( www.summerglau.com) and on the creator's website ( www.chihuahuadepapel.com/ingles.htm), if anyone's looking for that, but it is a PAIN to make (the Copydex and PVA glue still on my fingers testifies to that - two hours to make ONE of the side thrusters...)

Don't use Copydex or PVA, I've used Prit Stick almost all along, used a little wood glue here n there , but only where it doesn't show. Other times I've scraped some pritstick with a old knife and applied it like that. Liquid glue makes the paper soggy, even thick stuff. Prit Stick (or any equivilant) doesn't, and it sticks almost instantly. VERY strong too!!!
If you're gonna do the big one, (it's less complex than it looks, but a hell of alot to do. Worth it though) I've printed the template on 1 side of each piece of paper and printed a suitable Serenity colour on the other side. In other words I've kinda built it inside out, but I don't have to paint any of it when it's built. Just add lots of details with more printed paper. Also done a cockpit of my own with a perspex canopy. When I've got more done, I'll post a piccy :^)

SAHARA

I found the small one (I think) on my own while looking for an origami model of Serenity. I found plenty of Star Wars origami models (X-Wings are fun!), but nothing for Serenity. I wish I were better at it and could create my own!
